- Today I visit Forest Green Rovers, League Two's vegan football club. Under Dale Vince, the team have become completely vegan, green and eco-friendly. Come along with me as I try the food and go on a tour with club vice-chairman Phil Butterworth.

I’m from Stroud, saying it’s not a football area is incorrect. The issue is no professional teams in Glos until Cheltenham did it in the 90’s, everyone supports teams that were big in the 70’s and 80’s
Stroud is a massive football area! You are very correct. More football clubs per population than anywhere. He’s talking bollocks, it’s a serious footballing area. Rugby is pretty big in Gloucester, but that’s about it in the shire.

FGR were founded as FGR, the name Stroud FC was only briefly used in the 1980s/90s

Eco park looks nice on paper, but wood shouldn't be used in stadium constructions. May 11th 1985 taught us a lesson.
True, Phil said it will all be treated properly and it will be fine but I understands the critics.
Treated wood is actually a lot more safe than steel construction due to how it behaves under extreme heat. Obviously the Bradford fire was tragic but that stand was over 100 years old before wood treatment was invented. In m any cases fire escapes are made of wood due to the fact they are safer than steel
That tragedy was exacerbated by negligent safety standards. There were literally piles of uncleared rubbish under the stand.
that stadium will look so good in non league. The rush to build housing on the existing ground is probably more important to them

Great video, Pity Dale Vince is using the club as a marketing tool. It will be interesting to see if contiunes to absorb multi million pound losses when they drop back into non league. Also club is based in Nailsworth which is technicaly a town in its own right. In gloucestershire prior to Vince it was known as the little club up the hill. I just hope it returns to its roots when vince pulls out and it does not go the same way as other projects like Rusheden and Diamonds. There are many parrells between the clubs.

The whole club and so called "Green" ethos thing is a nonsense which Mr Vince used to push his own dystopian future.
Most football fans will be glad to see them relegated this season and good riddance !
