many thanks for the rapid response. I do not have clear the gyro and the stabilizer mode? What is the one that help me to soften turbulence? Thanks
@@alexherrera3918 Stabilization Mode will restrict the angle of the Plane and self-level.
Gyro Mode will not restrict angle or self-level the Plane but will mitigate wind.
It also has a full manual mode where there is not gyro input.

Good video. They sent me one of those a few months ago in return for a video tutorial, which I did and sent them. I put the gyro into my AtomRC Flying Fish and (like you!) I love the result. Oddly, Radiolink have not published the video on their website or TH-cam channel, despite saying they liked it. Oh well..., at least the gyro works well. The whole interaction with them started when I got my first Byme A from an Ebay seller and it was not working right. I ended up with a replacement for that one that worked fine, but I wanted to check I was not doing something wrong, so reached out to Radiolink for guidance/reassurance that it was not me that was the problem. I sent them a very quick video, which they thought was great (I might beg to disagree, since I threw it together in a few minutes) and offered a free gyro in exchange for the tutorial. I thought it might be fun to do a tutorial and so agreed, at which point they sent me the V2 instead of what I thought I was going to get, which was the V1.
@@theoztreecrasher2647 I was leaving Radiolink to do that on their channel. I did not want to get into trouble for using their logo etc and then putting it on my channel (I had prepared the video to be a "Radiolink" video). Plus did not want to steal their thunder (although very few people would see it on my channel anyway!). I have contacted them to ask what they plan to do. If they don't intend to publish it on their channel, I may upload it to mine. Hope you are enjoying the start of summer down under. Sadly we are heading into winter and flying opportunities are dwindling.

Yes, that Byme-A is great in that flying fish.
It makes an 8-10mph wind feel like a 2-3mph wind ;-)
They've been a great company to work with and provide great support.
I have (6) of the Byme-A Gyros now and will probably end up buying more.

The OpenTX Model File has the complete setup for all the modes on the Gyro.

Brother I need help! I installed version two of the BYME A in my Volantex 750 mm P 51 and it is an absolute miracle that I got that plane back on the ground in one piece! it overcorrects really bad! This is my second plane… I’m still fairly new to rc planes… with the stock receiver it flew fine. Well, I put a new power system in and different receiver so I could use with my jumper T pro … took it up for the first flight and the wings were rocking back-and-forth like crazy and as you know, there’s no sensitivity adjustment on here. Do you have any advice?

It works well in my Volantex PhoenixS 1.6m Glider.

Hello from Australia! Thanks very much for the time taken to prepare and post your videos. I have a Prime RC Tiger EDF jet which i'd like to use a RadioLink receiver and Byme A gyro. The jet has 2 servos on the main wing (connected via a Y lead) and 1 servo for the rear elevators (twin combined push-rods), and a steerable nose wheel with a separate servo. I'm looking for some help/advice on how to configure this gyro. I won't be using the steerable nose-wheel to start off with but it would be great to use the rudder channel to do this. Will the gyro be confused and operate correctly if the rudder channel isn't connected to anything? I'm using a Radiomaster Zorro Tx. Thanks.

Good question. The Byme-A Gyro will work just fine in a plane without a Rudder. The turns in Stabilization Mode will be much wider without a rudder as the rudder is not restricted by the Gyro. I've tested it in the same type of setup.
In Wind Mitigation Mode it works great.

@@GroundControlRC thanks for your super prompt reply GCRC! Do you know if I could use the rudder channel to control the steerable front wheel? I fear it would be affected by the gyro during takeoff? Can the rudder channel be programmed not to be influenced by the gyro? As a last resort I suppose I could install an additional receiver just for the front wheel. I really appreciate your advice. I think that would work just fine.
The gyro will keep the wheel straight when the stick is centered, which is what you would want, and the rudder channel is not restricted even in full stabilization mode so you wouldn't have any issues steering for takeoff or landing.

I purchased the Byme-A V2 along with the Radiolink R6DS receiver. I'm having trouble binding the receiver to my TX16S transmitter. Any advice??? Thanks.

I don't see the Radiolink R6DS as being supported on the Multi-Module site but that doesn't confirm it won't work.
The Radiolink Receivers require RF Frequency Tuning.
It could be that the Signal Range is out far enough that it won't bind.
I've had that happen with a receiver in the past.
I would adjust the RF Frequency Tuning number by (40) in both directions for the complete range, testing bind on each adjustment, to make sure that's not the issue.
Then fine tune the frequency for the best signal strength.
hello im trying to hook up the byme-a and r8xm to a 40amp e flite esc it dont work at all do you know anything about how to use a different esc then the 15 amp thats working with it

Yes, I've used the Radiolink Byme Gyro with various Receivers and ESCs in different planes.
The Receiver will connect to the SBUS/PPM Port on the Byme-A Gyro as labeled.
The ESC Servo Connector will connect to the Throttle Port on the Byme-A Gyro (CH3).
What isn't working?
Is the ESC providing power to the Gyro and Receiver?
Are the Signal Wires on the Top Pins?
Are the components connected to the proper channels?
@@theoztreecrasher2647 I've never used Futaba but I have heard it's an oddball with needing the throttle channel reversed.
He listed the Radiolink R8XM as his receiver.

So far, all the Radiolink components have worked flawlessly.
In my next Hobby order I'll be ordering more of the Byme Gyros.
I must have a dozen of them already.

I think I stated the only protocol I know of that requires the throttle channel to be reversed is the Futaba protocol.
The Radiolink RX doesn't use the Futaba protocol.
So, no I've never had to reverse the throttle channel using the Radiolink Protocol.

Hey Greg, just saw a guy that I used this on the Volantex 768-1 Mustang, mine had that flutter I'm trying to get rid of, maybe.. Looking at a radio link transmitter.. Thank you PS, would I be able to get that to work with the rtf Transmitter??🤔
I doubt you would get it to work with a RTF TX unless you can find an SBUS/PPM Receiver that can use that protocol.
The only RTF TX I know of that would work would be the TX that came with the RadioLink A560 as it can be programmed.
The problem is the TX has to be programmable so you can setup the switches for the Gyro.
@@theoztreecrasher2647 the problem I'm having is after installing the Racestar 2208 1100 kv motor into the RTF Volantex 768-1 that I can't seem get the power I need. I just wired it in with a skywalker 30 amp esc. Not sure if it's properly calibrated, doesn't seem to have enough umph to get off the ground. This is on a 2 S presently but I do have 3 S on the way, thank you for your video and advice, much appreciated!

Hi Jonathan!
There is no gain adjustment on the Byme Gyros as they are just Plug-n-Play.
If you setup your linkage so the servos arms to get maximum movement for the amount of deflection you need that should remove any oscillations from the Gyro.
That's the way I setup my linkage and I have no oscillations.

Hi Alex!
The Gyro will work with any SBUS PPM Receiver so as long as the Receiver is supported in OpenTX you're good to go.
It does require an SBUS or PPM Receiver.

@@alexherrera3918 The Byme-A and Byme-D are gyros, not receivers.
They only work with SBUS or PPM Receivers.
If you already have an SBUS or PPM Receiver it will work with the Byme Gyros.
I'm not familiar with the Lemon 4x but if it is an SBUS or PPM Receiver you can certainly use it with the Byme Gyros.

That is absolutely correct!
I have some LemonRX 6CH Diversity Receivers but they only support PWM and not SBUS or PPM.
Sounds like you're in the same situation I was in.
I'd never installed a gyro in a plane that didn't already have one, so I had no SBUS PPM Receivers.
The one's I provided links to are the exact same one's I purchased and use.
They work very well and the Radiolink Receivers use Protocol Radiolink Sub-Protocol Air.
The Radiolink Protocol does require RF Frequency Tuning.
The WFly Receiver I provided a link to is a diversity Receiver.
It uses Protocol WFly2 Sub-Protocol RF20X.
It does not require Frequency Tuning.

According to the Manual the bank angle is the same as the V1.
I was confused regarding the Multirotor mode as well until I read the manual.
I bet the quad I had on the table didn't help until I explained it ;-)
@@GroundControlRC Wish they would use that on-board button to allow adjusting the bank angle by 5-10 degree increments. That would only be a firmware update. My home field is kind of small. Maybe V3... 😉
@@lasersbee Yes, with the Bank-n-Yank Planes it makes for a large turn radius.
I'm hoping they come out with a 6CH-8CH version as well.
