The line "self crucifed, missed the right tree, tore the wrong eye out" is a refence to Odin, not christ. When did jesus hang in a tree or tear his own eye out?
Matthew 5:29-30: "29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell."
@@sator666666 and what you just said doesnt explan ithe self crucified part or the tearing of ones own eye out. This line is purely about Ođinn. If anything the story of Ođinn is older than Christ. I recommend checking out the band Dissection, since you listened to Watain a while ago. It's a band that they're very much inspired by. I'd say the track "Where dead angels lie" or "Night's Blood" would be great to start out with. Cheers!

Might be, but I think that "self crucified - missed the right tree" means that while Jesus sacrificed himself for others, we make sacrifices for ourselves in order to ultimately gain something, which is why we "ought to burn".
@@pauld5665 So it means that whoever sacrificed him-/herself did not gain what s/he was hoping for, unlike Odin who gained magical knowledge with the right tree. Am I right?

I think "missed the right tree" is refering to a pointless sacrifice of Jesus or anyone, but I get your point. Great video!
