Now you guys are officially my favorite couple on TH-cam. Love your frank and genuine personalities.
Interesting and refreshing to see another Chinese guy who can assimilate to a native accent so well. I have a sort of mixed accent myself, which is 80% the Asian American accent(but not dinstinctly from a specific state), which I entirely picked up from American expats when I grew up in HK(I didn't go to an international school), and since I moved to Australia 5 years ago, a hint of Aussie accent(NOT the Paul Hogan type though!) started fusing in, hence this interesting mix in my accent. And most Americans & Aussies can't even tell that I grew up outside their homelands, and interestingly I get along better with them than most Asians because of my rather quirky personality perceived by the latter, and such is even more so the case with the women I interact with! And perhaps because of the native level of fluency of my English, I don't often have lots of trouble with racists, maybe once in a blue moon.
Mike is fluent in American English because he probably picked up the language at a young age.
If you get along better with Westerners than Asians, most likely you adopt more Western culture than Asian culture.

I am an Asian and married to a caucasian. Normally, I don't bother by racial discrimination because this is the racist's problem, not my problem. However, when our first child was born, we received a letter claiming that according to Christian teaching, inter-racial children should not be born into this world. In this case, even I still felt the letter writer is the victim of racism, not me. But I still blame the racism in out society. To make it more equitable, we should all speak out against any racism in our society..

I'm asian american and racism exists even though we don't act like victims. Any one who experienced racism doesn't act like a victim so that's not how one should excuse racist encounters. Dont blame the "victims"

The amont of personal and intimate questions is creazy!😂 I have to say I woud never have the guts to answer them on TH-cam for stranges if I woud be a TH-camr. But at the same time I belive is really rude to ask thouse questions.
Is just that in the culture of my country Romania thouse are questions you must never ask from a stranger. Not evan my best female friends ask thouse questions! Younger generations sure have another style.
