Was surfing and ran across several sites with Melissa being interviewed. Jake you did a great job mixing social issue with light airy questions. Given Melissa's personal experience with an abusive husband, she still maintains a positive and seemingly genuine outlook and concern for others. Characteristics Supergirl lives by. How can you not be a huge fan. Thanks Jake for the entertaining interview.

I really embraced her now as supergirl, because it was very very tough to let somebody come into my first fad that I had as a teen, I mean how dare she come in and replace Helen slater. But the red kryptonite wore off and I think she gives a dimension of cuteness and livelyness to supergirl that we have never got to see in the movie which was kind of sterile in her "human side", she was like the nun that could never come out as the person that she was. There's more stuff you can relate to in present day supergirl, and the whole prude Linda Lee stuff from the past is gone so that's good. Melissa guides us well into these more nuanced off time drama /fun times of Supergirl
