It's something you get used to hearing here and in another close system in Portland, but when you are from another place it definitely sounds off. I do think it works as it was intended, though.

Stations with big parking lots are unfortunately necessary at this time. They don't have much transit oriented development because these areas are already fully developed by the time the network reaches them, this is the way it is when you build a train system too late. However, on the bright side, all stations are accessible, modern, and are built to the highest safety standards, in comparison to other systems. A lot of our stations can be quite big, but it's a good thing!
Good vid. I really hope ST provides express bus alternatives to a future long ride from as far as Lynnwood or Federal Way into downtown, especially because of Link stretches as slow as along MLK Way
Some stretches can be slow, but they can also be more direct than any road is. If you've ever had to ride a free link shuttle bus when a part of the line is closed, you will see how absurdly long it takes compared to the train. There are plans for an express bus network alongside the light rail network, but they are meant to compliment each other, not provide competition or replace one another.
Very weird to hear "doors to my left" or "doors to my right" as supposed to "doors will open on the left or the right."
It should say "doors to driver's left/right".
@@liamh1015 or at least "Doors will open on the left/right." Idk those announcements just sound odd.
I feel I like hearing it that way though
Portland's MAX also have these announcements. Rode them couple times before

Some of the stations seem vastly overbuilt yet they have parking lots and not transit oriented development around them.

There are some King Ocunty Metro routes run along with or near at the line, so there are some alternatives
