There is no propaganda about life in Russia. We all know that Russians can live their lives undisturbed, as long as they don't comment on politics in public.
Over the past 25 years I have purchased 7 village homes in nearby Suzdal and built a very large traditional guest house there as well - renovating them as traditional village homes has proven to be a very satisfying way of turning back the clock to a simpler life - unbelievable investments as well!
You're living my dream man. This summer, I finally got to visit Russia for the 1st time and it was my best travel experience. I saw St Peter, Veliky Novogorod, Chudova and Moscow. Already looking forward to my next visit. My plan is to save enough money to completely relocate there for good and settle in a small town. Such an underrated country
Come to Sochi, there is a great looks in the mountains, you can buy the land and to build the house there and every day you will see great nature around you ))

I bought a land plot in Lugansk which has an old house, it was only 1 million rubles The roof is destroyed, the walls are full of bullet holes So now I'm renovating the house and I will add a second floor It's very fun to do projects like this, you will enjoy it 👍

The guest house idea is a good one, especially if the house would be near a river or forest.I know you said you wanted to rent out the house for free, but hypothetically you could rent out the house for a few days to people who want to spend a few days relaxing outside the city in the quiet, perhaps fishing or going into the forest to pick berries and mushrooms. This could be your additional source of income. And the content about home renovation would turn out to be fascinating

As architect i will tell you just be aware that foundation is ok and main construction like timber beams all the rest you can replace or painted .I will go with more teaditional that esthetically appear with big traditional heater etc...any question let me know.And enough big plot of land that can accommodate extra small buildings...

These houses are very, very cheap because they are very, very old, in very poor condition that need major repairs or demolition, plus they are very small with very small rooms. Everything is rotten there. It's easier and cheaper to demolish and build a new house in place of the old one

There is a brilliant channel from Azerbaijan called Country Life Vlog. They show a community building a communal farmstead and cooking for the whole group as the project grows. That would be fabulous especially as a farmstay vacation place. That would be a great financial boost for the community if they manage to keep it circulating within the community.
I have a wooden house in Eastern Europe that I bought and renovated and I love it. I only use wood still to heat it in the winter ( unfortunately the original Russian fireplace was past saving 😢)... Villages are the best ❤

I bought mine for just 270 000, it's quite far from towns, but the village has great Internet connection, a nursing station, a concert hall with a library, shops, running water and things like that)

You could probably get a ride on mower and mow your lawn so that it looks like someone lives there. Then plant wild flower seeds before you are able to get a vege garden started. Then you could mow the children’s park and anywhere else needed. You will need a full on whipper snipper too

Unexpected video, lavely eyedeeah as you briish would say 😛 I think once you buy the house, talk to many locals and find out what the biggest problems are in the village and focus on what you can afford to fix. Perhaps there are old ladies that cant mow their grass, just please dont put a concrete patches for the sports, these playgrounds are so wonderful with grass everywhere and it would only attract people who make noise by bouncing the basketball and kids can be hurt more if they fall on the concrete.

Buy an old wood house. Acorns grow on Oaks. Those trees were pine not Oak. Will you do the invitations? When I was last time in Russia I found in a ditch two large beautiful windows with many blown glass panels. I brought them to Sweden. I like the decorations on those old houses.

The village home idea is brilliant....I would look for a property on a river or a lake if thats possible...I think you could turn it into something special. I know a couple things about construction so Interested to see what you choose. Maybe you do a voting survey to assist with your picks.

Unexpected video, lavely eyedeeah as you briish would say 😛 I think once you buy the house, talk to many locals and find out what the biggest problems are in the village and focus on what you can afford to fix. Perhaps there are old ladies that cant mow their grass, just please dont put a concrete patches for the sports, these playgrounds are so wonderful with grass everywhere and it would only attract people who make noise by bouncing the basketball and kids can be hurt more if they fall on the concrete.

When I was last time in Russia I found in a ditch two large beautiful windows with many blown glass panels. I brought them to Sweden. I like the decorations on those old houses.

Right now my wife and I are looking on properties on avito, thinking bout purchasing a Dcha og house with biggest possible land attatched. We have 4 small children and want to make a a first step into Russia.
Little England and little Canada ect. We can keep some of our culture alive there. Have been considering moving there for a while. Very happy I found your channel sir.
