Hi Peter pleased you carried on after the slip mate because you gave us some cracking views up there and I felt your pain bud, nowt worse than falling heading up at least coming down you tend to land on your arse lol. I've read Beinn Dorain has a funny false summit which loads of people have mistaken for the top in poor visibility. Awesome views in every direction just mountain after mountain. Great stuff. Will pass those two again on Friday and now know what it's like from the top. Atb. Mick.

Mick the false summit cairn is called " Carn Sasunnaich" or the "Englishmans Cairn". Thats it at 26:10 and it confuses people with the real summit in the fog. All the best for the next few weeks mate, peter.

Magnificent! Geology; are you interested in it? I wonder how varied the rock is composing the mountains and peaks you reach?

Two for the price of one, eh? BOGOF, with a fair bit of bog to negotiate! Great vid as usual, mate. I'm putting the "Messi hatrick" comment down to the altitude. LOL

Fantastic views Peter, well worth the effort. I hope the leg wasn't too sore and that you made it back in time for the final? Take care. Rich

Ha, once again good show Peter! And I do like your real-life-footage like that acoustics on 7 min's or so :-) Reassures me too that I'm not the only one who once in a while hits the deck :-)
Like Scots Wildcamper says: why shouldn't you give poles a try? Headstrong me introduced them only this spring - after some 45 Munros or so - and experienced it does make a difference. In energyconsumption too. [using just the one pole].
By the way, what's the tally now?

Wilco ive got poles but i dont like to take them, I know i should but to me they just seem get in the way. Im on 33 munros and 7 corbetts, Slowly but surely getting there. As usual in Scotland its the weather that restricts the days out
but im in no rush. Thanks for watching, peter.

Hi Peter i think i'll try Beinn Dorain.Yeah my hiking wild camper intro has that pyramid view of it......that's the famous view.Would you think about poles to stop slipping? I felt that fall, the only fall i've had on rocks was going down Ben Vane,i fell head first and almost smashed my face.......i wouldn't want that i'd lose subs lol.
As Tee said its worth it for the views,i'm trying another arrochar alp in august,Atb Eddie.

Eddie there is lots of good ground for a wildcamp up there it would be a good idea for you to head up that one mate. Nah i dont like taking poles(ive got two) seem more of a burden than anything. Glad to see your heading back up to arrochar, Have you picked a mountain yet? peter.
