Madam i teach spanish to filipinos. I do it for free because I want to help our countrymen and I love teaching the language. I feel like it's important because it's part of our culture and history. Could you please pin my comment so our fellow country men will be able to see this. Thank you very much madam.
Spanish is not important to learn by Maharlikans. We need to teach the old language like the Baybayin coz less than 1% knows the language. Baybayin and local dialect are more important than Spanish. Spanish is NOT part of our culture. Like Mexico, they don't know know there own culture and language.
Also, Asian Boss did a doc about Maharlikans speaking tagalog. Most of the words aren't even tagalog and mostly are Spanish. Check the video they made about Tagalof
True! Even in the news, we won't see this kind of vibe about the Philippines. It is always a bad image of the country; it is so sad. The mainstream media in the Philippines sure messed up our perception, which led us to hate our own nation. I hope the new generation of Filipinos will love the Philippines.
Another fact about Philippines: the Philippine flag is the only flag in the whole word that when you turn it upside-down it can mean “war” or “peace”. When the red part of the flag is on top it means “war” or “we are on war” pero normally we place the blue part on the top always it means “peace”.
When you hang Philippine flag on side/horizontally blue should always be on the right during peace time hang it freely. There’s a Republic Act how to respect Philippine Flag kind of long list probably Google could help deviation to its rule a person could be arrested.
I went to PH just before Covid. Visited briefly Manila, stayed in Cebu and Coron Palawan. And I can guarantee these were my best holidays. Food was great, locals were absolutely kind, sceneries were stunning. ❤️ 🇵🇭
As I remember in my youth, my grandmothers from both parents speaks fluent Spanish but to let us understand what their talking, they speak in mix language, local dialect and Spanish, seems funny to us but somehow were able to get it, now I'm in my 60's and do really missed how our grandparents talk to us in a different way..
Yes we love to hear about our cuisine similarities, About my country's well known food, Called adobo/from the origin word adovie/[a,-do-bäy]means to cure &set a side/to mix ingredients with meat and let it absorb the ingredients before cooking
What might be interesting is to do videos about recipes from Spain that are also in the Philippines, but to inform your viewers about the differences. Dishes such as Paella, Callos, etc.
There are many cooking techniques and procedures about cooking adobo in every regions. ...from meat to vegetables. and yes, we would like you to have a cooking video about adobo and some of the filipino foods. i suggest... chicken adobo filipino spaghetti bola-bola lumpia sinigang

if you go to the Philippines and ask Filipinos born and living in the Philippines most of their lives, you will definitely get the answer of "Asian". From the "Out of Taiwan" theory, people migrated from Taiwan to the Philippines and then to the Pacific Islands.
in philippines we have spanish bread and spanish sardines. and we have a place called españa it's also like venice because when there's a typhoon it will be submerged in water.
Information about Adobo dish Adobo comes from the Spanish word "ADOBAR" - (marinade, sauce, or seasoning) it is the immersion of raw food in a stock or sauce
It is a fun video. You will have fun and lots of love. Best time to come is January to May. Warm ...hot but no typhoon. Earthquakes rarely come and go. Volcanic reaction is also rare. People will know. Palawan , Cebu , boracay beaches are heaven . Food is so good.
Many volcanoes in my country most of them are inactive but as of 2021 24 are active.. TAAL volcano is said to be the smallest volcano but most dangerous currently active right now.

Although it seems like being a colony of Spain was a long long time ago. For people my age, i am 70 yrs old, my grandparents spoke Spanish fluently. Now starting with my parents and ultimately to me and my kids, that went away. Our second language is now English.
I'm a from the Philippines actually I'm still getting used to speak and type English because of my 13 year old daughter (she speak English alot ) It is nice that people like about our country and our people
The province of Batangas in Sothern Luzon is quite famous for "Kapeng Barako" or Robusta coffee, it is a strong tasting coffee that the people in the area drinks anytime of the day. I miss the smell of that coffee, specially that the rainy season started already. :)

I do love to watch you cook Filipino foods. Most of Filipino foods originated and taught by Spaniards. Adobo recipe originated from the spanish recipe, Adobado, but Filipinos reinvented it and did our own version. We have alot of adobo versions... I hope to see you post cooking filipino food and do a comparison to spanish dishes to find similarities...
Let me correct you. Adobo is not a Spanish derivation. It's not brought by the Spaniards either. Adobo is a pre-colonial dish that the Spanish named adobo because the way our pre-colonial ancestors cooked it was similar to a Spanish method of cooking, which is adobar. Adobo is only Spanish by name but it is an indigenous dish by our ancestors. That dish didn't originate in Spain.
@@thwb4661 adobo is derived from the spanish word "adobar" meaning, to marinade, w/c they already do to their own recipe called "Adobado" w/c originated from Spain/Portugal in the year 1582(before they came to Philippines). Adobado means, to marinade in spices. W/c apparently Philippines have not discovered spices yet before the spaniards came. Back then, we already have our own way of preserving our foods but marinading them with tuba or coconut vinegar and soy sauce(thanks to chinese trade) w/c is also used kilawin, paksiw, and pangat back then. And when the spaniards arrive came the onions, garlic, bay/laurel leaf, pepper corns, ginger and other spices(thanks to spanish gallon trade with Morocco), we were able to recreate our very own version of abodo. The first original Filipino Adobo was documented by Pedro de San Buenaventura back in 1613 called it "Adobo de los Naturales" in "Vocabulario de la lengua tagala"
@Jez Prada Kind sirs/madam, this video is very educational and invites foreign tourists for the Philippines, for that I am truly grateful. In a separate matter, the membranophone instrument mentioned as "GIMBAL" in the video is actually a photo of "SOLIBAO" from the Region of Cordilleras specifically used in the province of Benguet namely by the Ibaloi and Kankana-ey tribes. I say this because you have a lot of followers. Please fix it immediately. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment. Viva
Thier are a lot of filipino dishes with spanish influence that u dont see on occasions anymore. Like morcilla, pavu embuchado, pepitoria, perdis, torta del pan/rey, zarzuela de mariscos and so on. This should be atleast relive it got a lot of lost history on our causine.
