I am a security officer, At the beginning of your training scene and prior to the fire I observed a bottle rubbing alcohol that was missing post fire. During the investigation scene of the fire. The fire was set to conceal the crime however with alert crews this would be immediately reported to command to be forwarded to Fire Investigators and Police. great training video.
Im a firefighter going on for 4 years know I always wanted to understand more on fire investigation I know there's a lot more then what you have showed as a demo but you did an awesome job in alot of my classes they showed more on reading smoke were the locations of the fire may be.. how long the fire have been burning for but all I gotta say is great job
Can I ask you a question. If a fire had taken place with people within the property, and a person dies, do all witnesses write a statement? Would that witness statement be completed by the police, fire department or coroner?
These are all things that most firefighters need to get better at recognizing. Do you think investigation type items should be a standard part of a walk around or size up? This is a great refresher for me. Thanks for posting.
unless you can send samples of the bed material to the lab for analysis to determine there are accelerants in the bed material it would be hard to knowingly determine arson.
It's soot they inspect gear after every call that's not damaged it shows how many fire they Been into every firefighter as it and plus depending on witch time of helmet he got by the look of is helmet it's leather more fire the blacker it gets
