I don't see Tabatha takes over as your regular entertainment reality tv show. I actually watch it for inspiration as a business owner and how to conduct myself at work. Tabatha is a truly inspirational businesswoman and a total powerhouse 💪
This is possibly the only episode where the employees don't change one bit. They are beyond ungrateful for the makeover and have used that poor owner's grief to their advantage.

Usually when the owners say that they want to fire them all, I think the problems are with the owner, but I would 100% fire these staff (except Rosie).
Yup both Tabatha and Nanny McFee are stern, stoic and have a no-nonsense approach….yet once progress is made they show a kinder side & have a heart of gold. Plus they’re never hesitant to give praise when it’s due.
She’s a big softie. She’s lovely and cares so much that hairdressers get the respect they deserve. But it was disgraceful how disrespectful Monique was considering that Tab was there to help improve their lives, constructive criticism nothing else. Tab is from down under and we talk straight but love harder!
This poor owner needs some intensive grief counseling, she’s rightfully traumatized by the loss of her parents :( Alzheimer’s is brutal on the family and loved ones
It seems she is still grieving and that's a really hard period to process. Even thought she may try, it's very hard to hide your emotions when all you want to do is cry.
Funny on how they complained about there not being any rules or real leadership from the owner. But when she ends up being a leader with rules that's when they complain about her again.
I felt so sorry for Joy Monique is a piece of work. She made use out of Joys vulnerability. They clearly weren't on her side, the salon looked so much better and they couldn't even be pleased about that. They were just happy to do what they wanted before, they didn't support change because it meant stepping up and doing real work. Bully's running the school & I'd have sacked every last one of them. Poor joy.
In all my 50 years of hairdressing, I've never seen the sort of behaviour I've seen here. Total lack of respect and bullying! Ms " Ratsnest" would be out the door, quick smart!!

They're grown adults though... I work in a salon and it our boss left for a month (we'd be extremely lost!) but we'd do our best to maintain it re cleaning, trying to book clients, order stock etc etc. they want to be babysat and are making excuses for being ferals
The staff have to be some of the worst people I have ever seen on a reality show, ever. They're right up there with the guy who stole his staff tips in one of Gordon Ramsay's shows. Horrid people all around. I hope they took this opportunity to get a harsh look on their attitude and make a change.

I'm not at all fussy about my hair so I don't really get it either, but I guess it's great for girly girls who want a 'princess makeover' or something along those lines.
Update: The salon actually closed down in 2013. Joy couldn't keep it open anymore because apparently she lost motivation to keep going and her staff got worse and worse.
If I were the boss two of those women would definitely be gone. I really don't have much faith in the owner. She is not able to make the decisions that obviously need making.
Tabatha's face when she started crying and sobbing on the phone. The owner is having a mental breakdown... I personally would actually hate to work at a children's salon. You can't complain about your staff being lazy or not attentive enough when you haven't ever put a foot down and managed the place 🤔 on the other hand, her staff is terrible and they have no passion nor common sense at all. So, you need someone to write you a rule book to be able to take care of the basics ? You gotta be kidding. I wouldn't set foot in there.

I'm really surprised with this episode. She didn't do any work/activities with the staff to get them to change their perspectives. She mostly tested the staff, so they didn't get much chance to let go and reconnect
Cause she saw right through them and knew they were beyond hope so she didn't want to waste resources on them lol There was another episode where she didn't do much for the owner and only focused on the team and the owner sold the salon in those 6 weeks before Tabatha came back

The blonde stylist who keeps gurgling like a drain is pissing me off. 16:33 nit picking? That weird lopsided bouffant would have to be redone. It's okay to need help, but acknowledge that it wasnt up to standard, especially for a pageant. Thay younger stylist with brown hair seems pretty good overall. Monique and the one in the hat both really frustrated me. It's nice that it seemed to all work out.

Life's problems can truly shake a person up. She should have hired a manager to handle the business and taken time off to grieve and get counseling.
