Good video on taking out the screen bezel for a 2019 Jeep model with the gloss black bezel around the screen. This is a big change from 2018 and earlier models where the screen was not attached to the bezel.
It is a pity you had to go through this process to fix this. I have a 2018 Jeep Compass with the Uconnect Radio with same Channel changing problem. I was on Vacation last week during the week of Christmas and brought my Jeep in for an oil change and tire rotation. I told the manager of my radio freaking out problem and said there were a lot of problems with these radios. He said he would check it out for me. Turns out that the extended warranty I had would pay for a new Radio and all I need to pay is $100 deductible. The extended Warranty I bought 5 and a half years ago just paid for itself and will have a new Radio.
Just fyi for anyone with vertical lines and streaks on their Jeep touchscreen, my 2018 Compass was just checked for this problem. It's going to cost me over $1,500 to replace it. My mechanic tried rebooting it and nothing. My Compass just turned 18k. Trading in this Jeep for a Nissan.
@@heathernicole5794 I'll never buy another Jeep, that's for sure. Mine just turned 18k miles when my screen crapped out. It cost me $1,500 and plenty of aggregation to replace the touchscreen. My local mechanic has a technician that formerly worked for Jeep and had no problem replacing it, but after replacement, I had to get a new Sirius XM account, reconnect my phone to the Uconnect system, readjust all the car's settings, and now the odometer flashes the mileage bc the on-board computer doesn't recognize the new screen. I'll need to go to a Jeep dealership anyway to fix the flashing. Ridiculous.
Hey i followed all the steps and now the touch screen doesn’t work anymore. The bubble is gone, the radio itself works but when I press on the screen, nothing! Help

Thank you for posting this! My wifes is having the same issue, for replacement did you have to worry about security system issues from the switch out?
Disregard, I commented before I finished the video.
Perfect! How did you clean the digitizer? Or did you replace it?
Cleaned with alcohol
Oh and I really like the background music!
So you just removed the screen protector and put the stereo back?
Or is it the digitiser you removed?
Didn't remove anything. Just cleaned the glue and put it all back together.
@@DDTstudio so we have to add new glue to put the digitiser back?
Will this work on the 2018?

With the amount of jeep owners who have this problem jeep needs to recall and fix it for us.

Hello , the touch screen dont work anymore… You know why?
Check all wire connectors
Hi, I’ve done mine but it’s still glitching? Has this happened to anyone else?

Check all the wires. Make sure they're connected.
