Not All Bikes Survived This Trail

  • It's always nice to challenge yourself on the bike. For me, this is close to the ultimate challenge, and definitely at the limit of my comfort. But it was so much fun last month that I'm back again already, this time to show @VanCan what the big deal is. There's a lot to take in here, so we took our time going feature by feature in an effort to clean as much as possible. Probably one of my favourite videos of the year, enjoy! :)
    If TH-cam can be trusted, go show the builders some love:

    Love your comment at the end “that trail is about at the limit of what I can do and what I WANT to do”. I respect the idea of pushing limits and progressing, but I question the rationale (or, better, the rationality) behind some of the things I’ve seen online. I like that you have a healthy respect for what it is you are doing.
    For Nic to buckle the frame like that, can only imagine the g-force. Glad it’s warranty covered.

    Excellent edit, always makes me uber jealous living in WI and not having trails/features like there. But, quick question. How do you keep your brakes clean. I never hear your whips squealing bloody murder with the tremendous loads you put them through.

    • @DaleStone
      @DaleStone  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I honestly have no idea. Rarely bleed them, never wash my bike, change pads past overdue. Shimano brakes just work! 🤷‍♂️

      That's awesome, I've got xt but they howl like a poltergeist at an exorcism at slow speeds until they heat up a bit. Maybe it's time for a pad cleaning or replacement. Thanks dude, keep killin it! 🚵🏽🤘🏾

    • @DaleStone

      Much, much steeper, more commited and more exposed. I'd say Trunk Monkey requires more finesse to clean, and Diesel Wolf is more about confidence.
