    Nice ! No matter what I’m hunting, when I see a coyote it turns into a coyote hunt. Good job !

      Thanks! Absolutely! Just doing our part. It can turn a mediocre hunt into a wild one really quick, can’t it?!

    Nice job! As treestand man said "not an easy task tracking with no snow"! Great job tracking him to his bed, where he watched you approach. Keep up the good work and you will beat them at their best! What a big male coyote! Glad his chapter ended 👍🏻

      Thanks! It was a fun hunt even without getting a shot at the buck.

    Love tracking videos we are in Alabama we hunt a whole lot different than this with no snow and how thick it is. I want to try tracking someplace someday! You should go up to land of the lakes Ontario north of Wisconsin and try tracking them giants down you can hunt the queens land without a guide for deer. Bear you need an outfitter. take care!

      Thanks for watching! Fun to see how different each area of the country/continent is. I plan to hunt Maine next year (also the land of the big woods giants). Stay tuned for my buck video from this season on tracking snow!

    You have good content! Like your hunts! What part of vermont are you hunting? I don't need to know where as a pinpoint. north, south NEK or western part?

    Thats a damn nice dog! I've seen a lot of dog tracks this season in my neck of Rutland County. I've got some bait sitting out to try to take care of them after muzzleloader season ends.

    • @WanderingWhitetails
      @WanderingWhitetails  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Best of luck to you out there! Hopefully you can thin them out and help the fawns in the spring. Do you do predator hunting every winter?

    • @aguyinthewoods8294
      @aguyinthewoods8294 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WanderingWhitetails not usually. However, after the amount of dog tracks I saw I felt it definitely needs to be addressed and it will keep me in the woods longer. They definitely need to be thinned out some.

    That yote is big enough to take down a mature deer with no problem by it self, good job at taking that big boy out.

    • @WanderingWhitetails
      @WanderingWhitetails  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! Oh absolutely he could! There’s a very large population of them in that area too. The deer are in for a tough winter between the coyotes, deep snow/crust, and big lack of feed.

      There’s a chance! A lot of people think that always means a buck but I’ve tracked and shot doe that do the exact same thing. And I’ve shot many bucks who have the smallest pebble turds. Just like humans, they’re all different based on a lot of factors including diet, etc.

    Gonna fix the title. Wandering around out in the rain, ran across some deer tracks and a couple deer beds. Shot a random coyote. Been walking woods for 40 years, and no way you are following a particular track though all those leaves.

    • @WanderingWhitetails
      @WanderingWhitetails  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Deer tracking, especially on bare ground, requires extreme attention to detail, patience and discipline. Any accomplished tracker will tell you that it absolutely can be done. Thanks for watching!

      @@Kbell6518 Love to hear it! Congrats… that is a great season! Always wanted to track in Maine… might be heading up next year with a hunting buddy for the tail end of rifle season. Do you make it up there every year?
