Thank you, Jonathan and Gen. Berlijn. In my opinion, this channel is one of the best, if not the best, at depicting a realistic picture of Russia and its genocidal war against Ukraine. I wish all Western decision-makers would watch it regularly to understand what's at stake in Ukraine.

I agree. But this entire discussion needs to be broadened at an appropriate time. Zelensky said, "The world waits for November." Ukrainian direct brevity is one of the most attractive qualities of this generation. The most direct voices in European dialogs.

As they say, "the most disgusting and stupid comment with a lot of text to promote the channel"

General Berlijn's point about RESPONSIBILITY is a good one. Democracy isn't just about FREEDOM.. Democracy means RESPONSIBILITY. It's a two-way street. Democracy and Responsibility go hand-in-hand.

Your work is invaluable.

Another great conversation Johnathan. Dick Berlijn, retired 4 - star Royal Netherlands air force general, has the understanding and wisdom to tackle the problem head on. We need to step up to the plate and take action so that a multi faceted approach is used to fully arm Ukraine and to both defeat Putin and promote revolutionary change in Russia. Reducing our vulnerability in the cyber we world and promoting improved democracy in Georgia and in other threatened neighbors is very important to contain Russian influence and subversive moves they are taking in neighboring lands. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Hi Jonathan 👋
My big takeaway from this was the message that the current restrictive policy imposed by the Whitehouse is incredibly counter productive.
By restricting Ukraine's use of long range missiles, Ukraine is unable to strike the airfields that are used to launch glide bombs. 'They are forced to try and stop the arrows not the archer'. This is not only more expensive, it is clearly less effective.

On reflection ,as the West, it's demonstrate how much we have let our capacities slip.
If we had immediately over supplied with little rather than many limitations, would the offensive by Ukraine had worked? If it had, Gaza, for example may not even have happened. It was no coincidence of Putin visiting Iran a couple of times within 2 weeks of it.
We seem unable with our supply.
Add the thought that President Xi has recently told his underlings to prepare for a civil war by 2027. Meaning Taiwan.
Add The debacle in USA, presendential immunity. Omg.
A dictatorship has nearly born from democracy. Supreme Court.
Meaning we possibly only have until Nov 2024 of guaranted full Ukraine support.
The rest of the West. Needs to pull it's finger out, to take up the potential slack.
Meanwhile the world order is upside down WITH USA being on the dictatorship side.
As Churchill said. America always makes the right decision, after exhausting every other option.
    Good Luck USA
    🇬🇧

I would be extremely cautious of applying Silicon Valley "Move Fast, Break Things" method and conflating Ukrainian necessity. Developing new drones using off the shelf parts is very different to building something relatively simple like artillery, which has no off the shelf parts. Where there is a need, there will be inventiveness. If it was us in the war, we would be innovating really hard.

The West (i.e. NATO) has taken the decision to not allow Ukraine to lose. It is also, however, decisively committed to not allow Ukraine to win -- giving Putin plenty of time, after every escalation, to catch up so that the whole situation becomes level again: every time. This is the West's strategic and moral failure -- and why this travesty has dragged on for years.

Clayton Christensen wrote a pair of books on innovation in the marketplace. He describes different kinds of innovation. Slow changes are made annually to products to make them cheaper to make and make better quality (more expensive). The IPhone is an example of something made better but a lot more expensive. So much of American arms suffer from this approach of better quality that’s more expensive. ATACMS, Neptune missiles, Patriot missiles are almost all priced over $1M each. Ukraine’s drones are way cheaper. Doesn’t matter if Ukraine gets these missiles for free, they are too expensive. Kind of like making a basketball team with just stars like Michael Jordans. It’s not going to work.
Christensen’s other approach was disruptive innovation. Ukraine’s sea drones are disruptive.

A new democratic development as result of Russia- Ukraine war
Through various programs, a new management class of the Russian Federation is being formed from the participants of the special military operation. Through the Time of Heroes program alone, 40 thousand military personnel have already entered the echelons of power, and 530 thousand SVO participants have been registered. They and their family members are provided with various benefits, free training in management, education, etc. About 90 thousand participants of the special military operation have already become part of government structures at the federal level.
