one solution I can think of is having a realistic threshold for bidding like if a Diamond card goes over 200k then it should be flagged and taken down, it'll force you to settle for 100 Mt buy nows alternatively. The player market was something that could have and should have been amazing but was made horrible. Get rid of the auction house and add these fixes to the player market/cards/economy. 1. ALL cards (including coaches, certain consumables, cosmetics, etc) except rewards cards are released to the player market on release and are easily searchable in a way that is similar to the auction house. 2. The selling value is the buying price -10% tax, similar to the auction house. 3. Consumables like shoes actually sell for the same amount as they sell for in 2k25, in 2k24 they nerfed their selling price. 4. Make the MT prices reasonable vs VC. There were many packs that were like $5 in VC, but $25 in MT, solely to make the special/super packs harder to grind. If they want those horrible pack odds, at least make it possible and not a horrible decision to get those packs free to play. 5. Get rid of most of the unsellables, there is no reason to have series 1 unsellable packs if there is no Auction house.
This game is so crazy man. Need to ban people but at same time 2k is so greedy. Fifty bucks to open 10 cards that you won’t pull anything from. That’s two hours of work at job depending on what you make and no taxes out. Then if you grind you’d be lucky to make 4k mt an hour in domination so it would take 40 hours to get 160 k mt. I bought one 20 box week 1. I refuse to spend a dollar that I have to work for until they up these odds significantly. If you’re spending $50 on a virtual pack of cards there’s has to be Atleast a minimum of a ruby minimum of a ruby. Gold cards should be in addition to the ruby or main card of the pack period.

i think 2k is allowing stuff like this and the lineup glitch to counter the pack odds. take advantage of these glitches

I've got like 180k from grinding domination and I still can't even grab the few budget players I actually want (Dort, Shareef) like there's now way I can't get Shareef for under 40k MT that's insane, and Dort shoots up from 25k to like 33k overnight
I agree, but in reality, Ty is in the same spot most people were before he and others got banned, he bought MT along with most creators, he’s only a month into this, we’ve dealt with it for years

if the packs odds weren't this bad MT buying wouldnt be such a big problem but pack odds this year seem to be the worst its ever been theres only like 20 pink diamonds at a time on the Auction House, where previous years there would be thousands of promo cards up on the Auction House

The player market was something that could have and should have been amazing but was made horrible. Get rid of the auction house and add these fixes to the player market/cards/economy.
1. ALL cards (including coaches, certain consumables, cosmetics, etc) except rewards cards are released to the player market on release and are easily searchable in a way that is similar to the auction house.
2. The selling value is the buying price -10% tax, similar to the auction house.
3. Consumables like shoes actually sell for the same amount as they sell for in 2k25, in 2k24 they nerfed their selling price.
4. Make the MT prices reasonable vs VC. There were many packs that were like $5 in VC, but $25 in MT, solely to make the special/super packs harder to grind. If they want those horrible pack odds, at least make it possible and not a horrible decision to get those packs free to play.
5. Get rid of most of the unsellables, there is no reason to have series 1 unsellable packs if there is no Auction house.

This game is so crazy man. Need to ban people but at same time 2k is so greedy. Fifty bucks to open 10 cards that you won’t pull anything from. That’s two hours of work at job depending on what you make and no taxes out. Then if you grind you’d be lucky to make 4k mt an hour in domination so it would take 40 hours to get 160 k mt. Who has that much time? 2k is too blame. They let auction house back because they made less money last year. They don’t care about us besides the money and it shows. They don’t care about the mt buying because it’s not fair to us who don’t they care because it’s robbing them. If they cared in first place tho no one would have to buy mt.

I bought one 20 box week 1. I refuse to spend a dollar that I have to work for until they up these odds significantly. If you’re spending $50 on a virtual pack of cards there’s has to be Atleast a minimum of a ruby minimum of a ruby. Gold cards should be in addition to the ruby or main card of the pack period.

yea the only answer IMO is to raise the pack odds. they will have to at some point to balance this otherwise its a runaway hyperinflation or ban city for the 2k playerbase

I feel for you bro! Us grinders don't need the MT buyers back in the game, the player market was good to an aspect because of this reason. I don't have a problem with VC buyers, despite VC being rediuclous pricing to. I was keeping up with everyone til the MT buying started happening and I was NMS.

Why not put a transaction limit on the auction house. Say 5 an hour and 20 per 24...thats still enough to satisfy snipers. I'll tell you why ... 2K is getting a piece from the resellers
They could have easily kept the player market and add the auction house. Would help make it super easy to tell who is buying MT and reduce the price of high tier cards by having them in player market with an already set price
Honestly everybody just buy mt, we get banned just don’t play no more hopefully they fix the main problem next year which is pack odds . Hurt the pockets everyone stop playing the game . Better games coming out anyway

Just make pack odds better more diamond cards in the AH so diamond cards aren’t so expensive and we see less buying Mt cards up. Simple fix

Im not gonna play hypocrite because I bought in 2k22 and 23, but I havent since because I actually want to avoid a ban. 2K needs to ban buyers and sellers, they KNOW who they are! Sellers have millions of MT and bot play, its easy to track. Just raise the damn packs odds as well and ppl will stop buying MT!
