In my opinion they are worth the $380 price tag. There arent many headsets out there that are compatable with all three platforms and that have BOTH 3D Audio and Dolby Atmos. With most headsets its either one or the other. Youre also getting sterio l quality audio because of the HDMI an USB passthrough and you get instant access to a community where you can share EQ settings. My only real Gripe i have with these is they dont have ANC and dealing with the nest of wires they require is annoying. All in all they are a solid 9/10 headset with me But hopefully the next generation of Astro A50s has ANC and I hope they do wireless transmitter dongles that you can put on all three systems instead of requiring a bunch of HDMI and USB cables.
Thank you for sharing your insights! It’s always nice to hear from fellow audio enthusiasts who understand the value of good sound quality. I am loving mine and haven't switched to any of my other ones since I got these.
@@JimmyDukesGaming The drivers on the A50x are incredible. They give you detailed clear audio and rumbling bass. I’ve played games with my A50x that I’ve played for years and have heard little audio details that I’ve never heard before with any other headset lol. I was listening to a podcast with them while playing my games the other day and it felt like I was in the studio with the podcasters
Hey dude , love your content if you don’t mind me asking you one question , since you are the only guy i trust when it comes to headphones. Regarding the astro a50x , do recommend the Bluetooth for mobile gaming like pubg mobile, or do u recommend another headphone
Your trust means a lot to me, and I'm glad you enjoy the content. Let's talk headphones! Man, these headphones can do it all!! I've used them with my phone as well and sound amazing.
I've had them for 5 days and they are truly incredible. the only problem I have is that I hear a white noise when there is no sound it's not really loud but I would like to know if you have it too ?
I've ordered them today, for PS5. Yes only for 1 device but I don't care lol Anyway, I've seen many complaints on reddit. Main complaint was white noise/buzzing when no/low volume. People said their base station died after 1 month, lol And some couldn't get them to work with their monitor. I'm with Astro since 2017 Started with A10, now I'm on A20s gen 2. I did use a50 and a40s gen 3 but had to return them soon after getting due to personal stuff. But now I'm happy to upgrade and I think this will be a good product?
I mean how these things are made I can only imagine how many ppl might get a dud pair. As for me I have yet to have any issues. I do want to confirm I do hear the white noise if I don't have anything else on audio wise. Isn't a deal breaker but I hear it lol. Been happy so far, I hope my base doesn't die out on me!
@JimmyDukesGaming just got my today, that low noise doesn't bother me because I mentally prepared myself for it lmao if I didn't, I'd probably send them back. But in general they are great so far, had no problems connecting them. Even voice balance on ps5 works perfectly even though people claimed it doesn't and I used the logitech vid to set them up lol
Man when I put mine together I lost tv sound WTH man my wife watch me play so where is the sound they got 2 more days out of me then its going back if I can’t fix it
Can confirm the Astros A50 X works with the Elgato. I have an Elgato HD60 X which supports HDMI 2.1 and works very well. Also the new Elgato 4k X would be best suited for this headset as they both support 4k 120fps playthrough but HD60 X works fine. No need for a audio HDMI adapter garbage that the A50 had to use. Its all built in perfectly as im using it right now.
Everyone has said you can connect all devices at once but can you use lets say your on pc watching netflix and then on another monitor your playing an xbox game. Do you get the audio from both at the same time so you can watch netflix and play the game?
Ya you should be able to, on a pc each software has its own volume. For example, with my audio mixer I can change the volume to each application that is open. You might just need ot use the volume from netflix and whatever else you are using manually.
@@JimmyDukesGaming I just like the fact that with steelseries you can take them anywhere without the dac. Also the sonar system (even though I don't use it because of elgato) is free and open to all headphones.
@@Cooley93 for sure some great pros to those. A lot of ppl dont mind decent sound quality. Some ppl send more on other upgrades that make sense to them. Such an expensive hobby! lol
Are these really worth $380? What do ya'll think?
Bad Ass Homie. I liked the broadcaster setting, it sounded a awesome! This are definitely in my son’s wish list. Thank for the review homie. Saludos
Ya a tad bit up there in price but once you are used to quality for stuff hard to go backwards lol Thanks for watching and engaging!

You know what I noticed that too, kind alike a small hss. When no audio is on i hear it. I'm not sure its interference or anything.

So you can swap the aftermarket cushions out of the astro a50 to the a50x?
Yes they fit the same!

Double win! thanks for sharing as I hope it helps someone else who reads your comment! 🔥
Do these get loud? I returned the OG Astro A50 because it didn’t seem to go as loud as I like.
I guess depends what your loud is. Some ppl may have a higher tolerance for sound but I feel these hit a good level.
When it comes to Brazil ?! what i thik litle master?
I'm sorry I don't understand your comment homie. Are they not available to ship there?!
Where can you get these from. I can’t find them anywhere
What I've seen there are out on their site but available on Amazon. Here is my Amazon Affiliate Link amzn.to/3T4awYS
How do you get mic monitoring on these with the usb mic?
I'm not sure if you can. I do not see an option for self monitoring unfortunately.

I'm sorry to hear about the sound issue you're facing. Did it work itself out? You verified all the cables and restarted I'm assuming, right?
Have you tried these with the PS5 and Elgato? If so does it capture the game chat and game audio?
I have not, only using on PC myself. I'm sure there are option to make sure that works. I wouldn't see why not. Sorry i couldn't give ya an answer.

Can you explain how to setup with the elgato and PC to stream setup@@moonzbusiness

Man is it just me or are the original A50’s louder than the new A50x
Have you messed with the EQ? The default isnt loud enough for me I had to change the profile. Not sure if you on console or PC.
Better with Audeze Maxwell
Those are nice too. Never heard of them I had to look them up.
I'll stick with steelseries
I dont blame ya, these are awesome but easily can do without. A lot of different options out there for ppl.
