People just don’t think before blurting out negative comments. It’s easier to be negative then to put yourself in one shoes and think the length they went through to teaching something for free. Their ass is too lazy to put into practice what you are teaching so graciously. Hi Shawna. It’s Magda. The newbie in your Membership. You shared something with us “a trend” that you saw potential in. You said “Do not sleep on this”. Those words are still ringing in my ears. I hustled during the weekend and opened a PNG shop. I used the trend patterns you told us about. I opened the shop on Sunday. I already have 18 sales and 5 - 5 stars review. I already see the popular items. 2 PNGs have been listed as “most loved” under the keyword I’m ranking for. Both have “x amount in cart” and in demand now labels. The amount in carts go from 8-12 and a bunch of favorites. I wasn’t expecting this but I wanted to share this here. It’s definitely a mindset game. With the right mindset you can see the opportunity, jump right in on it and many ideas start flowing in. That’s the beginning. From there just follow what’s doing very good. Which is what I’m about to do right now. I’m preparing to add a bunch of PNG options with the trendy patterns I used for the ones that took off and are selling. This WORKS!!!🚀

Wonderful message, Shawna! Mindset is truly a choice we all make every. single. day. With the right mindset anybody - and I mean ANYBODY - can succeed with an Etsy shop. I wish we could convince newbies how bad we ALL were at designing and running an online business when we first started - I mean, holy cow, when I look back at our first designs 4 years ago compared to now! It is such a learning curve and takes hard work and perseverance. Isn't there a 10,000 hour rule to get good at something?! It definitely applies here!! I have done over 710 sales and most having more than 1 item per order in my first year, and I had no idea what i was doing. I'm learning every day. You do not have to explain the obvious to people who don't have the ambition to even try. Keep doing what you do!

So true! Thanks for the great advice. I’m in my 1st year and lots of errors, time-wasting and personal struggles. But all the lessons have to be learned by oneself. The most important lesson is to set the right mindset and make it sustainable, not only for this business, but also for the health (mental and physical) and relationships. We have to be patient and be kind to ourselves .
Always motivational. I absolutely love that you talk about, so often, the hard work it takes and that the first year isn't easy. Many make it sound like it's a breeze and that can be discouraging when you are new. That's why I watch your videos (and am waiting to hear about your membership opening again)...you and one other youtuber talk real. I'm 5 months in 104 sales and keeping on...list list list! How can we found what search phrases customers used to come up to our listings? Amazing video as usual Shawna! Your videos have always helped me out so much and thanks to you I have thousands of sales now with consistent sales every day. I doubt your shop is affected, but I've heard a lot of smaller shops be affected by the latest Etsy update. For me, I've noticed that for some reason my sales have gone down 50% due to the fact that I will get my first half of sales in the morning (as usual), then the second chunk that usually comes after 5pm I get 0, which I find extremely odd. My christmas listings aren't popping at all but I still find it weird that I only get sales in the morning then it's completely dead in the afternoon. Not sure if you have any information on this or can do a vid on it. Thanks for everything I wish you the absolute best with yourself and your business!
All I can say is without Shawna, I went a year making every mistake in the book and never getting real traction. With Shawna, I finally have traction and feel very excited for this Q4 and even more excited for next year as I follow EXACTLY what she teaches. None of us can expect to have instant results, it takes hard work but it's totally worth it in the end and Shawna is the one to learn from and follow, bar none! Love you to pieces, Shawna!
Hi Shawna - did you put out a video where you go over what you include in your membership group? I might have missed it. I've been debating whether to join or not - but wasn't sure if it was primarily geared towards people new to Etsy. I'm finishing up my 2nd year - and I have learned a ton from you and I'm sure I could learn more - but with running 2 shops - my profits from Etsy shop, a lot are going into advertising for my google shop - so I'm making less money this year than last year - so money is tight. Anyway - just wanted to get a better idea of what additional tools I might be able to learn in that membership?

Etsy is not for everyone but I know it’s possible! Because I’m slowly getting there and I follow her information on research and quality listings! Like she said it’s a positive mindset, knowing that in the end be you will get to the increased sales!

So thank you so much for what you do! I did have a couple questions for you! When first starting up, did you price down your items to break even at first, to establish a ranking? I too thought your traffic came from your TH-cam. But I followed some advice and watched your shop and decided to make a few of my own. Those little dot fonts that you make are actually not easy! Ha ha. So I ditched it and made my own versions of Christmas checkered themes. And they actually started selling. I was shocked. But the biggest thing was the research. For the first time, I actually did the research first. and decided what I was gonna make before. I actually just made something and then tried to find keywords for it. I don't have procreate and have wondered how you made your fonts and displayed them so seamlessly. But the journey led me to tons of research and lots of learning and lots of TH-cam videos on designing and understanding the current programs I have better, (affinity, designer, inscape, and photoshop expression) and of course Canva. Your video kicked it off. Now I'm not retiring or anything, but $150 extra before Christmas is welcomed. Now I will just keep building and learning.
Always great advice and training from you. Funny thing I saw your listing pop up when I was doing Etsy research for those PNG designs but at that time it was only showing six sales. This was a few days before you released that video. So to all the haters. Nanny nanny boo hoo

Girl don't even waste your time focusing on the people who are convinced they can't win because they aren't willing to try. You are the reason I started my shop in February and this month I will make more profit than my 9-5 job at 65k/yr salary. It IS possible if you put in the work. I didn't even buy a course because it isn't in the budget and I wanted to see how far I could get on my own. I only have 500 listings and am able to replace my income only 8 months into it.

Hi Shawna! I have a terrible problem with my store. I have a mess with the prices. I don't know how to calculate de prices with the printify fees, etsy fees and the 40% that i have in my store. I need to change the Prices but I don't know how to do it with products with different sizes like t-shirts, mugs, pillows, etc. Do you know how to do that? Please help!!! 😪
So all the messages I get always seem to start out with, hey, love your designs, did you create them yourself... but as I spend time conversing it is that they are trying to sell me some kind of service like consulting or social media management. How do you weed out these messages? Like, I haven't even had a sale yet, how do you think I am going to pay anyone else to do the work for me? But I also don't want to miss a real customer. I am almost three months in and nothing but scams and I am starting to get discouraged.
Thank you for your work and I believe you are sincere. However, from my point of view there is a bias. You have chosen the "download" formula which is probably not the one chosen by the audience of the channel which is perhaps more oriented towards physical products. Downloading is easier in principle because the price is lower (here 4.99). I think you should try the same experience (while mentioning and making it clear to everyone that you have solid experience and that this obviously helps). So a new store (invisible to the community) with t-shirts, and explanations and results ... there will be no more debate. Best regards and kisses to the little dog.

If we do not have a result it does not call into question the process because I understand that there is a lot of iteration and work but the formula is very interesting (I just looked at a niche and I have already found an angle, we will test). Shawna I have to say I was a little disappointed in this video. It’s Q4 and my time is very limited. I try to make the time to watch at least one resource video a day. I chose yours today. And realized 15 minutes in that the entire video, although titled the secret to make money on Etsy from day one, was a video addressing negative commenters from a previous video. 🤷♀️ Please know, I enjoy your videos. I only erased them to keep their real handles private sense I was addressing those comments. For every comment I get I figure there are lots of people that didn't leave a comment that feel the same way! I thought this mindset was really worth digging into sense it would keep many from achieving their goals! Had I not listed to content debunking thinking like this I would not be where I am today. I also thought clearing the air about the results in my new Etsy shop would continue to give people the hope and motivation they need to know their really really really is space for them on Etsy! For me, I've noticed that for some reason my sales have gone down 50% due to the fact that I will get my first half of sales in the morning (as usual), then the second chunk that usually comes after 5pm I get 0, which I find extremely odd. My christmas listings aren't popping at all but I still find it weird that I only get sales in the morning then it's completely dead in the afternoon. Not sure if you have any information on this or can do a vid on it. Thanks for everything

All I can say is without Shawna, I went a year making every mistake in the book and never getting real traction. With Shawna, I finally have traction and feel very excited for this Q4 and even more excited for next year as I follow EXACTLY what she teaches. Hi Shawna - did you put out a video where you go over what you include in your membership group? I might have missed it. I've been debating whether to join or not - but wasn't sure if it was primarily geared towards people new to Etsy. I'm finishing up my 2nd year - and I have learned a ton from you and I'm sure I could learn more - but with running 2 shops - my profits from Etsy shop, a lot are going into advertising for my google shop - so I'm making less money this year than last year - so money is tight. Anyway - just wanted to get a better idea of what additional tools I might be able to learn in that membership?

Etsy is not for everyone but I know it’s possible! Because I’m slowly getting there and I follow her information on research and quality listings! Like she said it’s a positive mindset, knowing that in the end be you will get to the increased sales!

So thank you so much for what you do! I did have a couple questions for you! When first starting up, did you price down your items to break even at first, to establish a ranking? I too thought your traffic came from your TH-cam. But I followed some advice and watched your shop and decided to make a few of my own. Those little dot fonts that you make are actually not easy! Ha ha. So I ditched it and made my own versions of Christmas checkered themes. And they actually started selling. I was shocked. But the biggest thing was the research. For the first time, I actually did the research first. and decided what I was gonna make before. I actually just made something and then tried to find keywords for it.
I don't have procreate and have wondered how you made your fonts and displayed them so seamlessly. But the journey led me to tons of research and lots of learning and lots of TH-cam videos on designing and understanding the current programs I have better, (affinity, designer, inscape, and photoshop expression) and of course Canva. Your video kicked it off. Now I'm not retiring or anything, but $150 extra before Christmas is welcomed. Now I will just keep building and learning.

Girl don't even waste your time focusing on the people who are convinced they can't win because they aren't willing to try. You are the reason I started my shop in February and this month I will make more profit than my 9-5 job at 65k/yr salary. It IS possible if you put in the work. I didn't even buy a course because it isn't in the budget and I wanted to see how far I could get on my own. I only have 500 listings and am able to replace my income only 8 months into it.

Hi Shawna! I have a terrible problem with my store. I have a mess with the prices. I don't know how to calculate de prices with the printify fees, etsy fees and the 40% that i have in my store. I need to change the Prices but I don't know how to do it with products with different sizes like t-shirts, mugs, pillows, etc. Do you know how to do that? Please help!!! 😪
So all the messages I get always seem to start out with, hey, love your designs, did you create them yourself... but as I spend time conversing it is that they are trying to sell me some kind of service like consulting or social media management. How do you weed out these messages? Like, I haven't even had a sale yet, how do you think I am going to pay anyone else to do the work for me? But I also don't want to miss a real customer. I am almost three months in and nothing but scams and I am starting to get discouraged.
No one improves without real honest feedback. Take it as haters, but smart people see the comments as ways to improve.

Thank you for your work and I believe you are sincere. However, from my point of view there is a bias. You have chosen the "download" formula which is probably not the one chosen by the audience of the channel which is perhaps more oriented towards physical products. Downloading is easier in principle because the price is lower (here 4.99). I think you should try the same experience (while mentioning and making it clear to everyone that you have solid experience and that this obviously helps). So a new store (invisible to the community) with t-shirts, and explanations and results ... there will be no more debate. Best regards and kisses to the little dog.

I am helping my friend and I had seen this video however I had not lingered enough on the search for bestseller png and to find one and test it on several niches. If we do not have a result it does not call into question the process because I understand that there is a lot of iteration and work but the formula is very interesting (I just looked at a niche and I have already found an angle, we will test). Shawna I have to say I was a little disappointed in this video. It’s Q4 and my time is very limited. I try to make the time to watch at least one resource video a day. I chose yours today. And realized 15 minutes in that the entire video, although titled the secret to make money on Etsy from day one, was a video addressing negative commenters from a previous video. 🤷♀️ Please know, I enjoy your videos. This one however, left me a bit wanting.

I did watch the whole video and the comments featured in it , and I truly didn't think anything wrong other than curiosity. Especially since youube is flooded with scammer channels, people are just fed up and just want to know the truth.The fact that you were offended by these comments that you had to make a video about it is makes me feel like I should be afraid to comment and express my curiosity. I only erased them to keep their real handles private sense I was addressing those comments. For every comment I get I figure there are lots of people that didn't leave a comment that feel the same way! I thought this mindset was really worth digging into sense it would keep many from achieving their goals! Had I not listed to content debunking thinking like this I would not be where I am today. I also thought clearing the air about the results in my new Etsy shop would continue to give people the hope and motivation they need to know their really really really is space for them on Etsy!
