Several times, the main problem is the weird way they have to describe the card effects in the anime, and then it doesn't translate properly to the actual game
baoh summoned mold, and used gravity gain to prevent jaden from attacking it (jaden was going through some ptsd from his time as the supreme king, so he couldn't bring himself to fusion summon). wicked cannon's last effect is because colorless chaos king of dark world required super poly in the anime, and dark tournament and darkness half was so brron could trigger wicked cannon multiple times in one turn without leaving himself open to a direct attack
It's why I love edopro so much. I made all these decks to mess around with. Very awesome vid. I'm convinced Chazz kept the Dark Scorpion cards because at the end on the episode the duel spirits were all chillin in his room with him and the other spirits he has.
I could see Dark Tournament being used in Yubel decks. Yes, we have Nightmare Pain to force the opponent into attacking Yubel but if you don’t have Nightmare Pain out and Yubel The Ultimate Nightmare is the only monster you control, you can basically force your opponent to self destruct with its burn effect.
Hurricane nest’s concept is pretty cool Imagine if you could use banned cards like that. Removing them from the deck, hand or graveyard to perform a duel action that would that’s weaker than the banned card itself
Uuuh time for my obligatory Speed Duel reference 👀 in that format, Dark Scorpions decks had an skill that allowed them to special summon them from the deck and also could attack directly, but only inflicting 400 damage 🔥 real good deck for a time
I mean with Glory level Talismen I assume its to stop your opponent from normalling a lvl 4 equipping it with an Axe of Despair or other atk booster and hitting over your monster
that combo for the Dark Scorpions you're suggesting doesn't quite sound like it'll work. Skill Drain would negate all their milling effects or Jinzo will negate Skill Drain letting all your opponent's effects go off. I think you would need something that negates hand/graveyard effects instead of all face up monster effects.
0:38 Idea to make retrains of some of the Big 5’s Deck Masters: _Robot General_ (FIRE) Level 4 Machine/Effect _If you Control 2 or more Face-up Machine Monsters (Quick Effect); You can Special Summon this card from your hand. All Machine Monsters you control can attack all of your Opponents Monsters once each. If this card is Targeted for an attack or Card Effect; You can make another Machine Monster you control that would be a correct Target the Target instead. You can discard 1 Machine Monster (Quick Effect); Inflict 500 Damage to your Opponent._ ATK/1600 DEF/1800 _Umi Warrior_ (WATER) Level 5 Warrior/Effect _While “Umi” is on the field (Quick Effect); You can Special Summon this card from your Hand. While “Umi” is on the field, Face-up WATER Monsters you control are Unaffected by your Opponent’s Spell Cards or Effects. If your opponent declares an attack, You can Tribute 2 cards from your Hand and/or Field (Quick Effect); Negate that attack, then inflict Damage on your opponent equal the ATK of that attacking monster._ ATK/1600 DEF/1800
I'd like to see them release Cobal, Excavator of Dark world. It's generic enough it could be useful (without being too good) and being a dark world card means there's bound to be some Dark World players who would like it for the sake of completeness.
6:45 I always thought it was a misopportunity that the first 3 didn't play a turbo deck themed around summoning themselves and the 2 mage a counter theme deck.
Fake Friendship Treaty may be scummy But if that card was announced tomorrow I would laugh my ass off as every top deck suddenly spiraled because they live by the special summon Also I know I said last week Ancient Gear would love the crazy equip card They would also love Fake Friendship Treaty Lock down your opponent from summoning and then use Golem with its backrow ignoring to just cold clock em
Hey, I don't know if this is a bit out of scope, but some of these anime exclusive cards have been playable in the video games, such as Duel Links and Tag Force. Would be cool to give that part a mention to applicable cards.
Skull Knight used Reverse Effector to flip up Magical Merchant, a Flip monster that excavated cards from your Deck until you get a Spell/Trap, add it and mill the monsters. I don’t believe with how the card is currently worded allows Merchant to trigger in the real game, but I digress.
If there's one thing I find a little upsetting about the anime only cards as time goes on it's that you don't get many archetypal additions the more time progresses. At least we'll get to see all the elemental hero stuff soon.
Two decks I can see Fake Friendship Treaty being played are Kashtira since all they monsters except riseheart are level 7, and Horus deck because they all are Level 8, so the card has potential to be played in some decks that aren't exclusively Stall decks , Still I wouldn't like to have this card in the real game.
I feel like we're missing some cards here.... unless they got added in irl and I didn't realize. Didn't Barron have a spell that searches a Dark World card, then has you discard 1?

Absolutely!
Tragedy of Love is actually in Duel Links, putting it in the same position as Kiteroid, being locked away in the files of Duel Links.
It's been in Tag Force way longer than duel links lol. Since 2006 - 2014

Never realized how weirdly coherent decks all the dark world/ duel spirt guys play there all very control type decks no wonder why there evil
I mean with Glory level Talismen I assume its to stop your opponent from normalling a lvl 4 equipping it with an Axe of Despair or other atk booster and hitting over your monster
I like the Power Cards and Slime Mold monsters, just need some elbow grease.
3:35 I don't want every Harpie support card since that card released to read "except Harpie's Brother"

Only if Jinzo is on the field First before Skill Drain.
are you going to talk about the arcana force cards that they were not printed yet in your next video?

It wouldn't as it sends the monster before it has a chance to activate.
Dark Tournament might work in a Goblin beat down deck

People think you're too strict on passing grades on cards? If anything I always thought you were too lenient.
Darkness half can be a lair/infernoid/virus support card.
I feel like we're missing some cards here.... unless they got added in irl and I didn't realize.
Didn't Barron have a spell that searches a Dark World card, then has you discard 1?
I believe you're referring to Dark Corridor (has the same effect). And that was released pretty recently, like late last year, I think.
@@PineTreeDuelist Ah, so it was released.... I think the Scout also had some sort of Fusion Devourer monster.... was that also released?
@@13KuriMasterThere is a monster called Fusion Devourer from Strike of Neos.
@@PineTreeDuelist Oh, then I guess that shows how forgettable it was when It's been real for decades and I never noticed.
Needed this today. Been very depressed to be turning 32.
why tho
I hope this helped! Hope you have a good birthday!
Its not Duel Monsters, its GX
Ojama Country is mentioned
Great stuff
9:09 Or you could just use, you know...THEM? It would actually make sense instead of "it" which is used for inanimate OBJECTS. What the hell man?
did you even study the duels any of these cards were in
Very cool TH-cam, always nice to go looking to see what's up with a channel not uploading to see you've been secretly unsubcribed.
YEAHHHHH DARK WORD MOMENT ,I play It in goat
