I have a feeling he'd be Russian, that Toxic madam which looks like a potential boss seems like she lines up as a Proto Saryn in the alternate timeline. So I'd say, maybe some old frames might end up having their Proto counterparts under the enemy factions.
I feel like people are overblowing this whole thing its was like every other tennocon, they just have a new decent sized update to drop, yea there's cool stuff but warframe 2 is reaching. You're gonna get a new map, new enemies that evaporate when you breathe on them, possibly a boss fight that is ok, infested liches, and some new skins, thats basically the update. Yea there are gimmicks like the bike or the dating sim thing but it doesn't really change much of anything its just a cool addition if you're into that but none if this really has any foundational affect on the game its just more content to grind which is fine if you just want more to do but it's not this revolutionary update, at least not from what was shown, the only part that might be revolutionary is the lore
there doesnt need be a fundamental change to warframe to usher a new era. wf works perfectly the way it is. and people come back to it time and time aagain because it is... WARFRAME. we dont want another OW2 where too much change can kill the game. we will still loot and shoot. get new weapons. level up syndicate. but now the style and theme of the game changed. we no longer are faceless robots in space. the warframes have human faces now. and along with it the lore is opening up to a new chapter.

As a fellow D2 Enjoyer i also quit amid the drama. Claimed my final Seal and uninstalled. I also have been enjoying warframe since D1 and i think you will like it.
As a Caliban player, I can confirm that the big change is his fusion strike (his 4) does not get cast by Lethal Progeny summons on the live build. His Razer Gyre (his 1) might also be getting the sandstorm treatment (duration instead of constant drain), that, or they just made it smother to start and stop.
I love cyte but I admittedly got pretty sad not seeing any Loki in 1999. I feel like it would have been a cute nice homage if he was there, as the old starter that was replaced by volt.

The problem with these locations, like Duviri or Deimos, is that after completing the story and some grind, you dont wanna go back there. Developers should integrate their game activities more deeply into the main game, for example, add missions with necromechs to classic planets or mix it up somehow.
That's been a problem for Warframe for the entire time. Instead of having a core game loop that gets added to, the game keeps getting those content islands that lose relevance fast.

Bubonico or Proboscis Cernos lich weapons would be pretty nice, the only issue is kuva/tenet weapons can't really compete with incarnons anymore, so infested lich weapons don't make much sense unless all lich weapons get significant stat boosts 🤷 I think it would be cool if they make a "2nd progenitor" system that can further upgrade all existing lich weapons. Depending on which 2nd progenitor you use, you can get bonus to crit chance, crit damage, status, base damage, etc.
Yeah, I see the point. Why add new Lich Weapons that are more late game than Incarnons then but still weaker? They'd have to bring them up to standard.

Dunno. It seems like this 1999 story is gonna have some lasting effects in the story. It’s not like Duviri which was mostly just showing us what the drifter was dealing with before joining the origin system. I could be wrong but I really hope they do more. They have the opportunity to add more protoframes and expand on this era of warframe’s history

After watching through the live stream (had to get my Saryn Prime) I think I'm most excited about the Caliban rework! I know he's a bit busted (in a bad way) but I really enjoy Caliban and I can't wait to see what's in store for his update.
With the right build, Trinity is an amazing Warframe. She quickly became a Main for me once I got the tweaks just right. I REALLY hope they don’t “fix” her into oblivion…
She doesn't need much. A 1 that isn't useless, and her 3 should be channeled. And her ult could use a little love as it's pretty underpowered since her nerfs years ago.

It's never a bad time to start honestly. Take things slow and consume content here and there. It helps that most veteran players are very helpful in this game.
warframes one of the most helpful communities out there, your bound to find ppl to help or guide you, but its a game that has a constant influx of new people, so just give it a try
Honestly, it's a good time as any to start the game. It's not like Destiny 2, with events and stuff that happen for only a limited time and you need to pay for it. It has one of the friendliest and most helpful community I've seen, and you won't really be able to play Warframe 1999 till you complete the main story, so... Yeah, I'd say you're good
I don't think 1999 will be that big, not enough to call it WF2. I think it will be about the same size of an update as the Zariman, mixed with a smaller than New War mini campaign.
I was thinking the same thing. These Proto frames are beautiful. They look better than the current frames. Just like the characters in First Descendent look better than Warframe characters. Then they could have some really cool skins. Maybe have Crossover frames/skins? Have rare skins that they can charge a lot for like they tried to do last year with the Frost/Mag when everyone complained. Maybe sneak it back in somehow. Perhaps just include enough plat. with the skin. DE can get even richer.
Do they look better because they have human faces? I’d guess that’s the reason you feel that way. It’s easier to connect to something that’s human. Though I’d argue character design in WF is still more highly detailed and intricate.
since this is set in 1999 there going to be some real life based weapons and definitely one hundred 💯 going to be snipers rifles probably based on real life I think the did show few of them like the pistol and the rockt launcher and I think I also saw volt in the demo carrying a shot gun I think

The phrase “game 2” is thrown around loosely these days. “Overwatch 2” “CSgo 2” Warframe 2 is not one of theme. Warframe 99 sounds and looks like a worthy sequel

Cyte-09 is the Warframe releasing with 1999, we are probably going to get his blueprint (or his entire Warframe) at the end of the storyline like how we got story related frames from the other stories.

Dunno. It seems like this 1999 story is gonna have some lasting effects in the story. It’s not like Duviri which was mostly just showing us what the drifter was dealing with before joining the origin system. I could be wrong but I really hope they do more. They have the opportunity to add more protoframes and expand on this era of warframe’s history

After watching through the live stream (had to get my Saryn Prime) I think I'm most excited about the Caliban rework! I know he's a bit busted (in a bad way) but I really enjoy Caliban and I can't wait to see what's in store for his update.

With the right build, Trinity is an amazing Warframe. She quickly became a Main for me once I got the tweaks just right.

She doesn't need much. A 1 that isn't useless, and her 3 should be channeled. And her ult could use a little love as it's pretty underpowered since her nerfs years ago.

It's never a bad time to start honestly. Take things slow and consume content here and there. It helps that most veteran players are very helpful in this game.
warframes one of the most helpful communities out there, your bound to find ppl to help or guide you, but its a game that has a constant influx of new people, so just give it a try
I lost track of the ot years ago and truly have no idea what's going on in the story, but the games still fun.
just be aware your not getting to 1999 for a long while. enjoy the game first fully, get a grasp n your good
Honestly, it's a good time as any to start the game. It's not like Destiny 2, with events and stuff that happen for only a limited time and you need to pay for it.
It has one of the friendliest and most helpful community I've seen, and you won't really be able to play Warframe 1999 till you complete the main story, so...

I don't think 1999 will be that big, not enough to call it WF2. I think it will be about the same size of an update as the Zariman, mixed with a smaller than New War mini campaign.

I was thinking the same thing. These Proto frames are beautiful. They look better than the current frames. Just like the characters in First Descendent look better than Warframe characters. Then they could have some really cool skins. Maybe have Crossover frames/skins? Have rare skins that they can charge a lot for like they tried to do last year with the Frost/Mag when everyone complained. Maybe sneak it back in somehow. Perhaps just include enough plat. with the skin. DE can get even richer.
Do they look better because they have human faces? I’d guess that’s the reason you feel that way. It’s easier to connect to something that’s human. Though I’d argue character design in WF is still more highly detailed and intricate.

since this is set in 1999 there going to be some real life based weapons and definitely one hundred 💯 going to be snipers rifles probably based on real life I think the did show few of them like the pistol and the rockt launcher and I think I also saw volt in the demo carrying a shot gun I think
