Thanks for watching😊
Thanks!
Wow thank you so much for your generosity! 🙏🙏🙏
All great ideas. Have to say that, so far, my favorite 2 are the dental floss container and the tweezers. I use tweezers a lot in sewing, but the way you tied the thread with them is going to be very helpful. Oh, and I really like the pipe cleaner tips also. All ideas are great though. So, thanks again for sharing them.
Thank you. Actually my favourite tweezers are the reverse grip ones. You squeeze to open and they stay closed when just holding them. I find this more user friendly especially when picking up beads and sequins

Thank you! Please have a look at my other 40+ video😊
@NotchesSewing Will do!
Hi Angela! Wow! Some of these hacks are mind-blowing! Love your delivery and demonstrations of each hack. I don't know much about applique but will definitely use the freezer paper trick! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for these hints. I love the magnetic bowls, got mine in the hardware store in bright red!
Glad you like them!
Wow! Some really brilliant innovative ideas! So much useful info!! Thank you!
Thank you! Be sure to watch my original video with 40+ hacks😊
I use larger size clear adhesive wall hooks cantered on my quilting rulers as a handle. You can pick them up easily and the 😮hook part rests nicely in the webbing between your thumb and pointer finger to hold the ruler down on your fabric.
Excellent tip!
These hacks are genius! I need to look for those dental floss threaders. I have a fancy metal filigree needle threader that I believe is actually scuffing the eye of my cross stitch needle. Hopefully these dental floss threaders will be gentler and will go through the eye of my needle.
Thank you. Good luck😊
Tweezers are a must have. I like the precision eagle beak. Thanks for sharing these fantastic (unique) tips. I recently purchased some glass weights for fermenting (hold product down in jar). As soon as I pulled them out I realized they would be perfect pattern weights.
Glad you like them! I have those glass weights too but my fav is using my magnets. Please have a look at my previous hacks video. 😊 th-cam.com/video/IRhmb2G1Y1s/w-d-xo.html
@@NotchesSewing thanks for the link. The magnets are brilliant…..and all the rest.
Now these are really good tips!!!!
Glad you think so! Please have a look at my previous hacks video.😊 th-cam.com/video/IRhmb2G1Y1s/w-d-xo.html
I LOVE the pleats maker idea!
Thanks for watching😊
I have another hack for tall thread spools. I use a paper towel holder. The shorter dowel is the perfect size for tall spools and the base of the holder keeps it secure on the table. I’ve only tried this with wooden towel holder, it might work with metal holders as well .
Thank you for sharing the velvet board hack, GENIUS ❤
Thank you great idea. I have an older video just on this if you’d like to watch. th-cam.com/video/swMH8THdJHI/w-d-xo.html.
Oh My! You are amazing!! And yes, I shared your video 🎉 Many Thanks ❤

I’m excited for your sewing journey😊
Karen at Just Get It Done Quilts uses freezer paper for several things, my favourite being to iron a narrow strip along a bias edge to stabilize before you sew. So quick and works like a charm.
Yes that's a great tip! I do not quilt yet but will definitely keep that in mind. I've seen Karen. She is wonderful!
I love your video and instructions. From Honolulu Hawaii
Thanks Tammy! Please have a look at my previous hacks video th-cam.com/video/IRhmb2G1Y1s/w-d-xo.html

Hi from Texas. New to your channel, I loved all the hacks. Thank you for sharing. Will be subscribing. 😊
Hi Tina from Texas!! Welcome😊. Have a look at a few more of my tips th-cam.com/video/IRhmb2G1Y1s/w-d-xo.html
My mum taught me to do 2 lines of stitching for gathering, makes it so much easier. 4:21 A recent hack I came across is to use dental floss for gathering instead of thread. Haven't tried it yet though. Love your videos. For pleats, use a kitchen fork
Thank you, If you want perfectly even gathers, sew 3 rows of stitching and then gather. And if you have one of the rows beyond the sea allowance, the gathers will stay put and stay even when sewing your seam. You then can remove that row after completely the seam. The reason for this is that even if the gathers are all even, they can get pushed out of position when sewing the seams together. Also loosen your tension before sewing the rows. Have you tried using a gathering foot? Thanks for watching.
Great tips. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Just subscribed and thumbs up!!! Really impressed with your presentation 🐱
Thanks so much! 😊
Love , love your channel just subscribed....thank you❣️

WOW! That was amazing and awesome information and tips. How long have you been sewing? You are Amazinnnnnng.
Thank you so much! I've been sewing more than 50yrs. Please have a look at my first hacks videoth-cam.com/video/IRhmb2G1Y1s/w-d-xo.html
Your tips are really good! New sub, TY!
Awesome! Thank you!
Sometimes when machine sewing from a cone of thread, the thread will not stay in the thread guides on the machine. A cheap plastic drinking straw can be cut and taped to the machine to make thread guides (that the thread can't get itself out of). It also helps when you are sewing with twin needles and want extra thread guides for the other spool of thread.
Excellent hack!! Thank you Arvetta.😊
My favorite way to keep thread filled bobbins free from tangling is to use the small hair bands that come in a bag of about 100 or so. They are about half inch, easy to put on and take off. They come in clear or black, are very inexpensive, available where hair products are sold, and easy to store in my box of bobbins.
Awesome tip!
The dental floss you removed from the container can be used for sewing on buttons! Very strong!! Just sew once over with matching thread!! Painter’s tape useful for holding embroidery projects in the hoop, especially on the back. If you need stronger hold, use medical tape!!
Good to know!
Protecting paper patterns - I iron them onto freezer paper before cutting out.
I use a cup with a screw on top and a hole in the middle of the top to hold cones thread.
So many new hacks. Thank you.
Thanks for watching😊
Brilliant ideas.
I’ve never used freezer paper before but I have new eyes now.. 😂
When you refer to printer paper, it’s just normal printer paper? Also is the printer a normal printer with normal ink or is it specialised for crafts and fabrics?
It’s just a normal inkjet printer.
I hate to ask this but what kind of printer did you use? I need to get one and it looked like yours would be perfect for what I need.
It’s an HP officeJet Pr 9010e. Thanks for watching😊
Iron freezer paper on to the tissue paper patterns, it keeps them stiffer and more durable. Better than the tape I think
❤❤❤
❤
Please have a look at my previous hacks video- 😊. th-cam.com/video/IRhmb2G1Y1s/w-d-xo.html
I don’t understand the plunger and elastic… how does it work?
Instead of having to measure with a ruler, you can just set your measurement from the floor up with the elastic and just pin or mark beside it. Thanks for watching
Thanks for all these wonderful tips
You are most welcome. Please have a look at my other hacks video😊
