Can a Tinny make it to the mouth of the Merri river.

This video is more of exploration video. As of lately I have started wonderig what the depths are of the lower section of the Merri. I have also wondered weather my little tinny would make it down to the mouth. I do catch a couple of small fish in this video so hope you all enjoy.

Thanks for the tip mate. I will definitely give that section of the river a go. I definitely won’t be taken the tinny back down there again in a hurry. Your hobby or kayak would make it down there no worries.

Yeah, almost made it mate.
The mouth was only a 1/2 km from where I started fishing below the bridge. It’s been a very dry autumn/winter season this year and nearly and all the mouths from Warrnambool to the south Australian border have been blocked at some stage due to lack of water flow. The Merri mouth was open but still had a heap of sand deposits not far from the bridge hence why I couldn’t quite make it to the mouth.
