I like the Cloak Mod holster mentioned in the video, but Alien Gear's website only lists the TX22 and NOT the Compact. Do they not make it any longer?

for those people that dismiss carrying a 22 as self defense tool, i always ask them if they like to get shot by a 22, most if not all say no thank you..... so there is that

Exactly! I told them better than nothing and better than pencil or knives and far away better than call 911 police arrive 8 to 15 minutes so every second count because threat is 1 to 2 seconds so i tood them do not waste your time for 911 if you had caliber 22 or what caliber you have is great better than no caliber.

A rim fire round is not even remotely as reliable as a center fire round. That’s just stupid.

The 22 is an excellent self defense weapon when you look at actual statistics. And your goal as a civilian in an attack is to stop the attack. Not kill the perp. But 30% of the people hit with a 22 DIE. That climbs to a whopping 33% with 9 mm. The key is hitting your target. What good is a 357 revolver if you can't hit anything with it? With the inexpensive ammo you can train enough with a 22 to get seriously good. In 99% of situations you are likely to face hit your attacker ONCE with a 22...mission accomplished. If they remain mobile they will run away. NO one will hang around to be shot twice.

FIBSA factor cares nothing for caliber.

My gun came with a none centered barrel (sits very low) so any suppressor added cause drag on the slide (wear marks and malfunctions). Sent back to Taurus, they put 26 round through it none suppressed (knowing already that it functioned with no suppressor, and that it only had issues when suppressed). I called after receiving the pistol back and was told that if it functions without a suppressor, they don’t care
and will not be fixing anything. I had high hopes that Taurus was starting to turn around from the terrible company they’ve known to be in the past, unfortunately they are still the same company.

People seem to forget due to bidenomics s 9mm carry gun is going to be 300$ snd up box of training ammo 15$ defense ammo 25 to 30 i have bills I can't go dump 500 rounds a week in 9mm like these TH-cam guys 9mm i can afford to burn a couple mags every like 5 months 22 i can afford to shoot everyweek and i have a ton of it i live in rural Missouri worst crime around here is someone may try to steal the cats off your car in the worse areas just having a gun is enough in my opinion now if i travel to st Louis Springfield.or kc i would definitely bring my old 9mm but with my current life routine i think 22 is just fine

A rim fire round is not as reliable as a center fire round. I have a Taurus TX22 as a plinker at the range, and it has all kind of failures all the time. It’s your life. Get a 9mm.

I agree. Especially in a big gun like the TX22. Pretty much the size of a G19 and the G19 doesn't even have a heavy recoil.

I wouldn't hesitate to carry my TX22 as a backup. I have had more jams out of certain Glocks. But I agree that the round itself can be unreliable.
