Quelques Fleurs, Princess Diana wore this at her wedding.
When I was young, I was an old soul. My perfume relects a more mature lady of elegance. I love Quelques... I was at Neimans in Woodland and 4 people, including my friends said it was an old lady frag. WTF.. I am not buying those expensive bejeweled cupcake fragrances.
I prefer this to Chanel No 5 hands down.
Like Marilyn Monroe, I used to spritz this before bed.

Got a sample yesterday, and you describe it perfectly....this perfume is stunningly beautiful, all day I was smelling myself and smiling,not sure if I've ever had that reaction to a perfume before? Creamy and delicious.it has civet which is a tricky one for me in perfume but like you say I barely can distinguish that amongst the creamy flowery gorgeousness.😍😍😍

I’m very glad I got this. Better than Gucci bloom (I don’t like that perfume, smells cheap to me) and it would pair so well with my go to fragrances… black opium and the original opium.
I’ve been wanting a perfume that could encapture the smell of my Lilly’s. And this does that and more!!!
It even makes me hungry like my Black Opium Extreme 🥹🥹
I have been wearing this scent since I was 15. It is absolutely amazing, intoxicating and worth even more than you pay for it...yes, I said that! Hands down, best performance on the market and the compliments happen every time I wear it out! It is complex, beautiful, delicate and classy!

I got my first bottle of this in 1987 when I was 19 years old, working as a waitress at a small French restaurant/patisserie/bolongiere in my hometown of San Diego
A classy, beautiful woman came in and.... a waft of gorgeousness followed her. I practically fumbled with my words when I told her she smelled amazing.. then, "what perfume are you wearing?"
She told me & I wrote it down on a napkin. Mind you, this is 1987 - approximately 10 years before the 1st cell phones, internet etc
Found it at Dillard's for about $35 in 1987 and wore the hell out of it.
Additionally, I had a small sample bottle of Macassar by Rochas(men's colonge) when I was a 13 yr old girl around 1981 which I dabbed sparingly. Also in or around 1981, I wore Rive Gauche, Ma Griffe etc
In 1981 I was an inspiring 13 yr old model who *studied the hell out of Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Madamoiselle magazines* since late 70s early 80s.
As an aspiring model at 13, I was told to come back when I'd grown at least 3-5 inches. That never happened😒 (sigh.)
In the early-mid 80s even as a young teen, I was way ahead of my time as far as frags... frags that are now masterful timepieces. I have repurchased many of these to wear and to instantly wisk me away to those glorious days.

Quelquefleur is still my highest ranking all time favorite perfume amongst the hundreds I've had the past 35-40 years.

I also wore Magie Noir, Jardins de Bagatelle, Halston, Cristalle, No.19, Opium, Lauren by RL, Le Sport by Coty amongst others when I was still in high school from 1983-1986 🤍💛

I’m so in love with the aldehydes… Presence was my all time fave but this is my ONLY parfum now! Sophisticated, Demure, softens and lingers on my skin and clothing! Marvelous!

I came across your review today after blind buying this perfume. I love how you described that this perfume is not a wedding perfume, it’s a self love perfume. I cannot wait to get my hands on this next week. It is on sale in Oz at the moment.
Wow I tried it yesterday and I'm just wow ! I cannot imagine how potent this thing used to be before reformulation. Still it's really pretty. A beautiful floral bouquet, such a good quality in the ingredients and the blend. It is strong, a bit mature but still soft and tender. I have nothing to compare it to.
And it didn't leave me until I took a shower !
So far I enjoy everything I tried from the brand but I got a crush on that one. I also really enjoy Boudoir and La belle saison.
I know right?!?! This one delivers on so many levels. I was pleasantly surprised as well and I agree that it would be very hard to find something to compare it to.
I do favor that l’original has a basic and user-friendly bottle as opposed to that popular scent that is shaped like a high-heeled shoe, that you worry if it will spray well, it’s basically an S-shape. I prefer this and, when it comes to the scent, sign me up, please. I hope to have it very soon, it’s been a dream of mine for years.
I find this to be the epitome of old lady perfume. It is a floral, not particularly distinct like say Prada's Infusion d'Iris, or mabye Sisley, Soir de Lune, but just a non descript floral. And it is strong. BUT that isn't what I disliked the most. It's the dry down. There is a soap that is sort of ubiquitous in France, called ROGE CAVAILLES Savon Surgras Extra-Doux Lait de Miel. It smells like a diaper pail disinfectant. I didn't even return it, I had to get it out of my house when the package arrived, it was strong and even left its remnants on my wood floor. That is what the dry down on this perfume reminds me of, somehow sweet and industrial at the same time. I just hated it so much. And I am a big lover of perfume, I wear 3 at a time after my nightly bubble bath some nights, to get just the right combo I've had in my head all day. So somemay love it, but I can not for the life of me understand why.

Also, hunted down Opium Orient Extreme, inspired by your Opium YSL review,-couldn’t find the vintage o g, and I must say, the composition AND the presentation is a piece of art, to my mind.

the new quelques fleurs that carries the name "quelques fleurs l'original" smells nothing like the original quelques fleurs that came out in 1912. it smells so different to the point where it becomes 2 totally different perfumes. i don't detect any of the orginal dna in the "quelques fleurs l'original" version. none whatoever.

If you can get your hands on it, it’s been discontinued but I have Maison Francis Kurkdijan Absolue Pour Le Soir, this is a honey floral and animalic fragrance. Bombastic too!

It's pretty fab. The other lines of this are amazing too. It dries down to an elegant powdery. yes buttery, floral finish. Super classy, it makes most Chanel perfumes smell like Kerosene. ;D j/k... There is nothing like it. It is a sexy beast. It lasts a long time. A little goes a long way. Maria Antionette also wore a rendition of it, it was her favorite. It is a classic Chateau in France from the Roman era in a field of flowers on an estate behind gilded gates. It is really an exclusive scent. All of them are great.
