There’s just something about this tractor that’s won my heart. Of all the tractors I’ve used in the past, modern and ancient, the 5000 is the one that stands out the most in my mind. Even with a failing injector pump/fuel pump not allowing the engine to run past 1600 rpm without sputtering, the thing never seemed to give up. Can’t say I feel the same way about the MF shown in the tug of war which probably needed something replaced after that was over and done with. The 5000s also had stout front ends explaining why they always had lifting implements attached to them normally relegated to the 4wd tractors of today.
El Ford 5000 es una leyenda en la preparación de tierras para cultivos...claro que esa época también habían unos competidores muy buenos como Fiat y Masseiferguson 290...
Wow those guys really don't believe in front end weights haha! Don't know much about the 5000s, where we lived if you wanted a bigger tractor you got a JD, plenty of smaller Fords around though 8Ns, Powermasters, 2000s 3000s. Dad had an 8N then a 1966 4000 3 cylinder split grille, good old tractor, I understand the 5000s were 4 cylinder, I've heard they were good tractors too. Cool video!
I still have my grandfathers Ford 5000 Super Major 1966, which will now be a hand me down to my grandchildren. The foreign drivers here are a real tribute to competent stupidity. The tractor however proving that, "It's foolproof!"
Done plenty of work in NZ with 3000s 4000s but in particular the 5000. Bloody strong pulling machines. The neww 6600 wasnt as good. The guy pulling two loaded trailers would be sacked.
Looks like they all are in a big old hurry Atleast the deep plow guys .Seems like a lower gear when stressing drive chains unless you are rich and don’t care ! The first couple in peticular
Now listen up....the Dexta, The Major, The Supermajor the 2000, the 3000, the 4000, the 5000 the 6000 the 6600 and the 7000 they all did the job very good according to your pocko. The todays farmers are homeboys in nice fancy shirts and clean hands oommgg
What do you need in Europe to farm today. A good 100 horse Ford without no ado. Maybe an airco. Todays european farmers are burocrats for the EU. That ain't no farmers though. The rest is a costly illusion.
very very seldom I saw a farmer plough with his big 8230 that is too cosly. Rather haul out a smaller ford that consumes half. Yhese clowns cannot count. By the way in Europe we have only half of the farming land available as compared to 50 years ago. What are we talking about?????!!!
learned how to drive on a Ford 5600 , when I was 12 years old, Awesome Tractor!

the Ford 5000 was a gamechanger in European agriculture. Thnx Ford.
The old original Ford 5000 series diesel tractor was an outstanding piece of equipment.
Indeed!
They never seem to die these tractors. You can bring em back from the dead and still run another 40 years😂
Until the engine block went porous.. 😂

The scene with tandem cart towing is just plain ignorance of safety. One cart at a time and live longer brother 😢
FORD IS GOLD 💪👌👍 SIMPLY THE BEST 💪👍❤️
Name of plow type ? Looking for one🤔
Never seen so many tractors being abused in one video. An absolute disgrace😠
Jes 👍👍👍😁😁
That is why we have 2 of them :)

Máy cày đất sâu trong quá đẹp
Always thought the 4000 outsold the 5000...!!🤔
Yes, I understood the 4000 was best seller in the range.
El mejor tractor de la historia.
Looks like several 4000s in the mix here

We also repowered them with 6 cylinders. They were very strong with their Muir Hill back ends.
Had a 4000 Ford growing up didn’t like the select o speed
I thought more 4000s were sold?
IN FACT DO YOU RELIZE HOW MUCH IS 50 HP
nice ford
I heard once that the Ford 5000 and 5610 were the most reliable tractors ever built
Based on warranty claims.
I don't know if that's true or not
Buen tractor
Ford is the fastest gear box, also that they do not know. Working fast. Easily 50 K. Ford will show the way in the next decade.
Looks like they all are in a big old hurry Atleast the deep plow guys .Seems like a lower gear when stressing drive chains unless you are rich and don’t care !
The first couple in peticular
Still the most widely used tractor where I'm from
Hello Sir can I get one? I seriously need this machine.
