    On price to performance the $9 Apple ones honestly slay, and they were included for a while

    From my understanding, the M15 draws a lot of power from the device, more than an iPhone puts out. That's why you experienced clipping.

    I'd like to see you test and compare some powered portable Dac+amps. Doesn't have to be on the IPhone necessarily, it would just be interesting to hear what you think about some of the options out there today

    For the next roundup please add in a laptop or two (Windows/Mac), as well as a smartphone. I'd like to know if the power output makes any difference, and also if you run into any issues like you did with the dongle in this video that ran on the iPad, but not the iPhone. As you know exactly what the headphones should sound like on a good desktop amp, it's great to hear your opinions on the sacrifices that you'd have to make for portability.

    Hi! I bought the case you recommended, it'S pricey but quality is great. How about 3.5mm jack? Will the Ugreen Dac Model Usbc to 3.5mm jack will work on iPhone 15 ProMax?

    You should try the Lotoo paw s2 it my favorite. I have a few other dongles but that one really stands out to me. It’s mostly neutral sounding and can drive the audeze LCD X quite well.

    So I take it there are no longer power limitations for higher powered dongle DACS since switching over to USB-C from lightning? I currently have an iphone 13 pro with a moonriver 2 Ti driving some 4.4mm yanyin canon II’s…wondering if the switch to the iphone 15 pro is worthwhile now? Thank you.

    • @ABYSSHeadphones
      @ABYSSHeadphones  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Apple claims 4.5W max output for an SSD, so presumably it’s not an issue for these dongles. We tried a few lightning dongles, and adaptors from lightning to USB-C on an iPhone 14, and most of them suddenly cut out if the volume got too high. None of these issues were experienced with the iPhone 15 native USB-C.

      There’s SO MANY dongles now, it’s pretty cool. Apple rates the output on the USB-C jack at 4.5W, so even demanding headphones can crank no problem on the high power ones.

    • @ABYSSHeadphones
      @ABYSSHeadphones  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      iOS allows for more gradual control than the default ‘clicks’ you get from bumping the volume buttons. You can click the volume buttons to bring up the volume bar, and then drag it up or down from there. It does allow you to set it lower.

      @@dhiaoshaish and according to Ibasso soon there will be a DC06pro, which is a bit more powerful and has a different dac. They say both dongles are equal, but different, so DC06pro won't be directly replacing DC04pro.

    Hi Abyss, I’d like to see the Creative Sound Blaster G3 running these headphones. It’s another affordable ($40-$50) USB C or USB A Amp/DAC but is compatible with anything it can plug into including consoles. It also has an app that allows for EQ and preamp options, it’d be real impressive if it could run these headphones close to their potential. It drives my Sennheiser hd599 very well from what I can tell (though I am new to this hobby), would like to know if it could run headphones from Abyss.

    • @ABYSSHeadphones
      @ABYSSHeadphones  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately Creative doesn't rate the output voltage or power of the G3 so no way to know other than try. It looks like the G6 would be the best fit as it has a low output impedance which helps to drive low impedance planar headphones.
