    An important addition: ONLY Zealot has invulnerability on dodge sliding, no other class has that. Noone knows why, it's just how it is, based on datamined values some time ago.

      well, its only 'incorrect' if you dont choose to develope your own skill and knowledge of which this video leaves plenty of room thankfully, as it should be. On the contrary, to get all your knowwledgte from yt video is a bad idea, why. because they might be giving advice for t3, when you only play auric. its all situational

    As an Ogryn, I want to add that if you are looking to beef up/build around your toughness, you should instead be using the toughness DR perks, as those reduce a decent amount of toughness damage you'll be receiving which is more valuable in a pinch than a reduced regen delay.
    It also pairs nicely with the toughness on demand perks such as bullet bravado, the heavy attack one, or the keystone modifier for "feel no pain" which gives you a burst of I think 20% toughness upon having your toughness broken.
    Still though, even on my non tanky builds I am able to at least squeeze in 10-20% (30% is the max) toughness damage reduction which helps more significantly than the faster regen time perks. Also having 90% regen boost from curious helps slightly but if there's something better you can fit in like a damage reduction, it's probably worth choosing that over the toughness regen.
    On an unrelated note: I want fullscreen back, game won't run well anymore without it. I can't get the game to run stable in borderless.

      very true! ogryn has a few easy to path to toughness dr nodes that make a big difference and most players overlook them

    The crazy thing is it can actually be useful for zealots that have loner. But no zealot in the heat of the moment thanks to switch over to a gun so they can get their toughness back. I've been experimenting with this a little bit and finding out that if you have loaner and toughness region along with a gun that has suppression is the only way to make this curio worth a damn

      i'll let you in on a little secret as well, fortitude in fellowship (the 25% coherency regen in the top middle) is actually bugged at the moment and will let you regen 1.875 toughness per second even without allies in coherency, similar to loner. you could actually skip loner entirely if you wanted to :P

    Coherency regen has a set amount of time before beggining regen. Its different per class. Same as the dodge limitbreak cooldown, its different per class and classes get appropriate tools to deal with this. Vet has worst toughness /dodge stats, but gets a rootbreak every 30s that also fills stamina and lets you literally walk away from anything. Ogryn has better coherency regen, because theyre a tanky boy that, ideally, is always in coherency peeling things off the littluns... so as you can see, each class gets reasons and those reasons are multi-layered levels of defence that begin always with the individual skill of the player 9and therefore their playstyle rog et the most out of their build). AFTER THAT there is coherency. Then your build. You can use points for a situational rootbreak that saves me a lot as a 2000+ rank vet. Personally, I run Covering Fire on al lmy builds so i can benefot myself and teammates when in the situations where coherency is relevant, big big fights. Yo ucan use your skill points toto buff up your coh regen as an ogryn, as you say. These perks buy you time. They arent for survvability. Everythnig is compounded by skill. Which is why it is the root of balance, not mechanics.
    It doesn't regen when you get hit because that would not be a good idea from a game balancing eprspective, as good players would become insane and normal players ie the majority would see less to much less beneft. I dont think many people udnerstand thsi concept when asking for balancing. You do not want a game balanced for casual unless it has a low skill ceilnig (like darktide does. i can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that if coherency regen'd while taknig damage, most players would flatout ignore their teammates and play solo.Because they can run around constantly regfenning toughness...
    I was quite happy to entertain the video but telling people theyre playing a class wrong is.... i have very strong words about this mindset and I strongly do not agree with you to the point I personally believe that segment on Ogryn is flatout misinformation.
    People with this mindset need to udnertand not all points are equal and its up to you as a player to dfevelpe your own style, i refer you to my earlier point about the situational use of a rootbreak and how your point of constantly regenning toughness goes against this. It encourages homogenised w spamming especially into range blobs, you wouldnt need to dodge their attacks. Maybe that is the wrong way to play FOR YOU and that is totally okay, but others can make it work as they play differently. AS LONG AS they do their role and work with the team rather than against it, it doesnt amtter really.

      the coherency regen delay is NOT different for every class stop lying, its 1.5 seconds for all 4. im going to be completely honest I have no idea what a rootbreak is, I can't take you seriously when you're just making up terms for things and throwing out words like misinformation is crazy considering you've done absolutely no reading into this

    I have played for 300+ hours and I had no idea coherency turns off when in melee. Goddammit fatshark.
    I do know from experience that Wrath makes hordeclear for the Branx pickaxe way better. Although I have no idea why you would use it on the other 2 since they are already better at hordeclear

      theres lots of silly little things in the backend of tide games that never work the way you expect it is what it is I suppose. as for wrath, theres no point since you have access to thrust/headtaker/slaughterer. always take the power blessings instead as they're increasing your damage stagger AND cleave, not just one.

    Imagine if the coherency were to be more effective than the rest, why would anyone design a coop game where sticking with your buddy all the time is the most optimal way to play which does not really take huge skill to do in a game where the enemies already have the intention of pushing you? It will not only be a free buff with less combat dependence but also make the gameplay is too restrictive and narrow-minded. It will also make pub games more annoying to chase after someone for the buffs and in Europe we do not all speak the same language or want to constantly talk in the mic or type to communicate if I quickly wanted to grab some ammo which I saw some distance away. Also a case can be made where some maps or events could be designed in a way which needs teammates to coordinate from a farther distance by pressing levers or something. Disablers are doing more to encourage coherency than the perk itself. I see no rational reason to have a buff/nerf mechanic based on distance in a coop game because it is a free buff and it punishes you if you wanted to seperate for some time. The devs intended purpose for this mechanic does not even work on lower difficulties. Speedrunning with stealth and not sticking to the team exists on hardest difficulty. Devs do not care a bit about that. It is just a compromise by making it meaningless in the game so people who like to feel getting buffed by sticking together are happy and those who want gameplay are happy as well because of its ineffectiveness and play as if it does not exist.

      exactly, the game has no issue forcing players to work together without it and it feels strange to be punished for kiting enemies away from your team such as bosses even if that is the correct thing to do. hopefully by 2028 its scrapped entirely and we can pretend it never happened

      And you get debuff even bc you just like 5 meter around...it is so annoying for ogres u literally need or grab a shield, or stick to some team ass, bc in any situations you will be bullet sponge. Yes yes you can perform spam slide, but it is not always you can do it properly in some situations, and it is even just annoying.

    The Ogrynomicon spells it out why you take Wrath and Infested, not sure why you're confused about it. You've some how managed to make it into an esoteric concept by not realizing that you're making yourself do less damage on horde clear without Wrath + Slaughterer, which is also the reason why it's one of the highlighted blessings to go with it. The intent of these two blessings is to optimize your horde killing potential rather than elite and special killing.

      you're completely missing the point, with the extra cleave from wrath and slaughter the heavy 1 cleave becomes 75 which is quite frankly overkill even for auric duos and is always going to be worse than just taking two power blessings overall. why "optimize your horde killing potential" when you can kill everything faster instead? 18 base cleave already makes it one of the fastest weapons to clear horde regardless

      you do not need to take infested on a weapon that cleaves through and one taps the majority of horde with just a few stacks of power. Double power allows you to take care of horde and do more dmg to other enemies too. This frees up a perk for you to go into any other of the more valuable perks in the game(infested is literally worthless we are not in 2022). Not to mentioned pickaxe does not struggle at all with cleaving multiple enemies especially with the added cleave from the double power blessings. Be sure to test and investigate things by yourself, not everything in a 'guide' is correct or optimal

      Wrath + Slaughterer felt far more better to me for clearing out hordes using H1+L1 than using double power. Which is why I made the comment, because... I main Ogryn? I felt slower killing hordes with double power blessings.
      If you have to ask, I do not testing in the Psykhanium because I hate doing ANYTHING in a vacuum, it's not a real test if you do it in a vacuum.

      @@Ashen_Night116 on Karsolas it's better to just spam heavies instead of H1+L1 and you won't utilize +200% cleave unless you stand inside hordes and spin (though it's still noticeable only against low hp enemies like groaners and poxwalkers, much worse against elites due to damage fall-off). Power blessings give damage, cleave and stagger so they are objectively better
