  • Johann Sebastian Bach (31 March [O.S. 21 March] 1685 - 28 July 1750) was a German composer and musician of the Baroque period. He is known for instrumental compositions such as the Brandenburg Concertos and the Goldberg Variations as well as for vocal music such as the St Matthew Passion and the Mass in B minor. Since the 19th-century Bach Revival he has been generally regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time.

I love the organ sound, but I think the Harpsichord fits better simply because it’s easier to discern from the other instruments; the organ kind of sounds like a really smooth violin. Anyways, thank you for putting the original score up along with the music. Always cool to see the original manuscript of famous composers.

Excelente interpretación, el órgano se escucha excelente como instrumento que le da estructura a esta melodía.

Some scholars think that the original concerto in d minor was an organ concerto instead of a violin concerto so this is why there are recordings of bwv 1052 on organ.

@@haydnschlinger6740I think that’s what he meant. No way a violin could play that 😂
