For all the people claiming that the grandmother was in the right, especially those who claim to be Christian like the grandmother claimed, Christianity definitely includes not lying, but it also embodies intelligence, wisdom, and discernment. The point that self-righteous truth tellers are overlooking is that the grandmother told the truth about a confidence shared with her. WHY? For the purpose of concluding that her daughter's infidelity and reckless lifestyle PROVED that her reckless, adulterous, and immoral son-in-law was NOT her grandchild's father. In other words, to support her son-in-law's FALSE claim. She worked against the interests of her grandchild. It is obvious that her testimony did more damage than good and brought her underlying motives into question.
