Your right! He has the inside stories about Hollywood and the music scene of LA. I’m amazed he was able to avoid the addictions and bad behavior. Basically he avoided all the pitfalls and stayed normal and healthy. Good for him and his brother because they were around sleazy people in music clubs all their lives. Good for them! They seem to be too sunny and positive to fall into sleazy business. He could write an incredible book about Hollywood and not sugarcoat anything. I hope he does it someday.

I have always had tremendous respect for Ricky Nelson and his music. As a musician who has eclectic tastes and a fan of rockabilly. It's pretty cool getting to know his sons story and seeing how down to earth /cool they are. Gunnar is a real musician and a nice guy just like his father.

Jordan,, I'm 67 years old now live in montana, for the last 32 years. I watch ALL of your videos for the last almost 4 years if I'm correct... You put out videos that are AWESOME BUT there are quite a few that have affected me more then others, your last video on. "To kill a mockingbird " was one of them . I have the DVD. Of that movie after your video I dug it out and watched it again Including the 2nd disc " special features "again ps if you don't have the disc you should get it the interview on the extra disc with Gregory Peck is AWESOME it's wand a half hours long. That's what I ended my night with on Wednesday.. Thank you Frank from montana... I hope you read this . a lot of your videos have a big impact on this 67 year old man .so THANK you. Again....
WOW! More Gunnar. I love these intimate interviews you’ve done. I think your open personality makes them comfortable to talk to you and tell stories. I hope you continue to make famous and interesting friends on your travels, and share it with us, and get them to tell their stories. I knew of the Nelsons band, but honestly, dismissed them as riding the hair metal train using their dads name. Now I learned they payed their dues, played and were friends with the early punk / new wave bands I loved and also got to see. I even learned more about their dad and his genuine contributions to music. I have so much more respect for this entire family. Honestly, I originally only acknowledged their sister Tracy Nelson cause I had a crush on here from when she was in the show “Square Pegs” 🤣

Excellent interview. Gunnar is a super down to earth guy. He also has a really great way at looking at cancelled flights or missing a flight. It can probably be applied to a lot of things.
I am so loving these videos. The inside look of someone from a famous family. And how it still is not easy to be in the industry. I have always been fascinated how that worked or how that felt. Gunnar is a fantastic story teller. Back when “After the rain” came out, I was 9/10 years old and was obsessed. And it was a semi-bonding moment for me and my Aunt. She was a teen when their Dad was a huge star in the late 50’s. She loved him on “Ozzie and Harriet”. It was so fun to see two generations meet.

His sister Tracy was visited by Ricky Nelson in a waking dream. He told her she was very sick and she went to a doctor and it saved her life. Amazing! I believe that if you are visited by a deceased relative in a dream that it’s real and they are trying to communicate with you. Usually to say hello and tell you they are okay on the other side. But it can be something else, too.

i wish more people would understand how ghosts are real gunnar is a person that has had many experiences he needs to express this fact i held in my experiences for years and really felt like a freak find someone you can tell your experiences to so you can know there are people with the same experiences i told my experiences to a really good therapist she didn't write me off as crazy she had experiences in the los feliz district of los angeles almost every house is haunted there gunnar's integrity is so awesome this is rare in the show business

What an interview, you are so good at putting people you meet and interview at ease and it’s because you genuinely care about people and their journey. My wife is a Covert Narcissist and My teenage sons and I have been through so much with her. I had my boys watch the interview so they see there are others in our situation that have been through it and are grounded maybe better for understanding what they have seen.

Jordan, I love, love, love this interview with Gunnar Nelson. He is well spoken and I could listen to him all day! His ghost story was fearless! Ghost only come to warn you of something or to tell you to stop re-arranging their place!

i wish more people would understand how ghosts are real gunnar is a person that has had many experiences he needs to express this fact i held in my experiences for years and really felt like a freak find someone you can tell your experiences to so you can know there are people with the same experiences i told my experiences to a really good therapist she didn't write me off as crazy she had experiences in the los feliz district of los angeles almost every house is haunted there gunnar's integrity is so awesome this is rare in the show business
Oh My Goodness! Gunnar lives in Nashville which is only 50 miles from where I live?!?!?! If I ever run into him I hope he has a lot of extra time that day because he seems like such as easy person to talk with and I would have so much interest in all the stories he has. Great interview. 😍

Omg! I just got the part he was talking about KISS. That tour was my first rock concert. KISS, Winger and Vixen. I think it was the Hot in Shade tour? At least that’s what the T-shirt said lol.

What an interview, you are so good at putting people you meet and interview at ease and it’s because you genuinely care about people and their journey. My wife is a Covert Narcissist and My teenage sons and I have been through so much with her. I had my boys watch the interview so they see there are others in our situation that have been through it and are grounded maybe better for understanding what they have seen.

I thought you might enjoy this excerpt from a 2009 50th anniversary review by Roger Ebert of Ricky Nelson's 1959 film RIO BRAVO (which starred John Wayne, Dean Martin, Angie Dickinson and Walter Brennan: "In a lull in the action, the men relax inside the barricaded sheriff’s office, and Martin, resting on his back with his hat shielding his eyes, begins to sing about a cowboy’s loneliness. Nelson picks up his guitar and accompanies him. Then Ricky sings an uptempo song of his own, with Martin and even Brennan in harmony. Does this scene feel airlifted in? Maybe, but I wouldn’t do without it. Martin and Nelson were two of the most popular singers of the time, and the interlude functions well as an affectionate reprise for the men before the final showdown. Needless to say, Sheriff Chance doesn’t sing along."
This man is very interesting to listen to and his mind is very sharp. He’s very honest and was careful not to fall into the traps of the business.
Loved every interview with Gunnar. He is a wealth of knowledge and a great story teller. How is it that he is so well balanced and even keel. I have but one question when's the book coming out? I'd buy it in a second.💖💯
