Seeing the box off to the side I had a neat thought. I wonder how many guys here besides myself would be interested in seeing what tinman hoards in his toolbox..from homemade tools to weird tools some people may not know...to quirky gimmicky tools and most of all the junk drawer!!I have a strange fascination with what you may consider useful junk lol
Weooooooohooooooooo! I’m so happy to see you start wrenching on these 372 builds. Love my 266, she’s a fuel hog but I’m no pro, just a man who love danger, work, and fun all on one rippin lil package. Glad to hear you and the family had a nice Easter
Hey there friends! I was just offered the opportunity to port a 372 for a landscape company. It'll be my first customer, so I'm a bit nervous to say the least. I like the idea of pressure checking port opening numbers. I have a testing theory in mind. Hopefully I can make a name for myself with help through your channel.
love watching these videos ,am starting to tinker with my saws ,and this man is a great help ,i may blow them all up lol, peace an love from scotland stu .
I'd like to see the same cylinder timed on different cases to see how different the deck height is from case to case. As always great video! Happy Easter!
BTW. After the base gasket removal you had 2° port timing advance, which means that there's 2° past that point. You called 3° timing improvement, when it should be 4++-
Hey Tinman, these Timingnumbers are almost exactly like my 2000 372XP. Mine turned out 98 122 72 . I am very interested in your Build. Mine is running a lil Red Barn popup which is heavyer than Stock and two ring Design. I deleted one Ring and did some lower Transferwork. Intake is at 158. Cant wait for your next Video.
Ohh and the timing numbers haven't been changed except for me shaving the head I ported the Saw intake transfers and exhaust so just shaved and ported without raising or lowering anything while widening ports out and opening up on the outside of the intake side so as it comes in it kinda compreses on itself and speeds up
Looking forward to seeing this one! Need to put Harvey’s to the wood. Did he show you the build? In the famous words from The Summers Brothers Show “ Veddy Interesting “ ! ! !😊
I just was gifted a 371 xpg but the mag side case is smashed and needs to be replaced. Are there other cases for the mag side that are compatible? Also there is not much for video content on the heated Wrap, carb or throttle for any saw. So I'm very excited about your 372 and 371 up and coming videos. Glad you have a wonderful Easter. I had my family over as well. Me and the boys cleaned up and sharpened saws in the shop, patiently waiting for our supper...😂. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙
Would a OEM carb help performance on a holsfarmer372xp pro ive just bought a brand new one and I'm planning Harvey's bace gasget removal and open exhort .thank for what you do keep enjoying that little daughter they grow Faster than one of your saws lol
Happy Easter from southern BC. In this video, I believe you said and correct me if I'm wrong, that lowering the exhaust opening would make the saw snappier. Example. lowering an exhaust opening from 105 degrees ATDC to 100 degrees will make the saw snappier??? Would that make a saw with exhaust opening at 107 degrees ATDC have more torque? I'm a beginner and trying to understand and apologize if this is a stupid question. You and Ironhorse are amazing, thanks for all the info.
105 to 100 on the exhaust is raising the exhaust opening. ATDC = less degrees, closer to TDC, higher on the cylinder. As a general rule high exhaust = RPM, lower exhaust = more torque. Very general rule, there are a lot of factors at play and specific models of saw like different things.
@@smallcoppercoins01 Thank You Playing with a couple of 266's. An exhaust opening of 100 ATDC should be snappier then an exhaust opening of 105 ATDC. Like you say generally. thanks
Happy Easter Tinman, Hope you and your family have a good one, I eventually got my hands on a 372xp so I am really looking forward to your 372 builds. Yourself, Harvey and buckin are inspirational to anyone that's interested in power saw's . I know you guys have shared a lot of info on youtube that has helped me out a lot. Many Thanks From the Emerald Island.. Is That a L77 on the top right shelve ?
Hey Tinman, I’m building a Farmertec 660 with a Hyway cylinder and OEM bearings. I sent you a email, not sure if you saw it yet. Curious if you have a P.O. Box, would like to donate parts/material to the channel.

I'm done fixing my holzfforma Saws. It's never ending.
😀😊😀👍🏼
👍
Do you do porting for others? Or custom mufflers?
He does not. Red Beard Saws does pretty wicked work for the public, active on instagram and has a good solid website.
