I was actually just there yesterday (1/2/2019) with some friends. Dear god this place was incredible. All the history and sheer love for gaming that went into this is not something i can truly put into words. Anyone reading this that hasn't gone, it's well worth the trip
I live about an hour away, ive been there twice, once just after they opened, and once last summer with my kids, it is a wonderful experience that can be shared with future generations... great vid.
hi there. Epos how you doing today? Good? If you went to game museum which one may it be? My good friend so and so might visit one with me, paying for me as a very kind wise man. I've wondered somewhat how fun it would be, since I've learned about all sorts of game machines since 2001 when I thought to learn about the topic all of a sudden! Yeah, however........I still really think it would be worth it since the museums have such a volume of stuff and that would satisfy me I know. Know where I may find a game museum t shirt to buy? Haaaa. Thanks.
1) great chiptune music 2) always enjoy your thorough research 3) dang, the museum looks pretty sweet.. especially enjoy the recreated 80s bedroom they had on display.. ahhh the nostalgia! ^_^
It is a really cool place. Great exhibits and playable consoles and computers. With your admission, you also get some free tokens to use in the arcade. Also, in the mock up of the kids room... look under the mattress... there's a fake Playboy magazine under there... lol... great attention to detail.
Great piece of work Kelsey - Here in the UK, I’m lucky enough to have the National Videogame Arcade & Museum located in my hometown of Nottingham which is a fantastic place to visit.
wowsers, I thought I knew everything about videogame hardware and games but you mentioned a few things I've never even heard of like the Sega Pluto! I've never heard anyone speak of some of these things before in countless TH-cam videos I've watched over the years! Thank you kindly for the obscure knowledge
We visited arcades for our channel, but this is so amazing. Thanks for the great video tour. If we ever pass through this area of Texas, we will definitely stop in.
Great video! Didn't know you had your own channel. The Vita Buyer's Guide you did with Metal Jesus was what finally convinced me to buy my Vita which has since become one of my most prized possessions 😊
Wow! You have Shovel Knight and Duck Hunt amiibos in the background next to each other. It's cool because those are the only two amiibos I own. It's a weird feeling when you see something familiar in an unfamiliar place, like "what are my amiibos doing there". :D Cool video. I'd love to visit the museum one day. :)
great vid. Incase you're wondering, the strobing effect that sometimes comes up is cause you're cam was recording at certain times with an FPS that can see the strobing effects from the horrible fluorescent lights. You can either up the FPS the next time you record, or get a plugin like flicker free (works with FCP / Adobe etc) Keep up the awesome work!
This is awesome! I live within driving distance of the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester NY and I've always wanted to go check out their games section.
Your videos are far & few in between, but always worth the wait! Seeing a video like this helps remind me that both Kelsey & Norman (Gaming Historian) still have A LOT of topics to cover! ..and who knows, maybe one day they'll do a collaboration. ^^
I'm happy to see your website, Pink Gorilla (video game store), running again!!! Awhile back, the site was under construction for a while. I'm going to start doing some shopping at PG!!! I actually wanted that cute Fletchin figurine I saw a long time ago, now out of stock :/ LOL I'll find another Pokémon :D
Hey this video was really cool. I live in Australia and don't see myself visiting Frisco, Texas any time soon so it was awesome to see everything and have it all explained.
Very Cool. I am planning a trip to Dallas this year to hit up Six Flags. I didn’t know about this museum. This will definitely be on my list of places to visit while my family and I are there.
Cool place, loved the tour thanks Kels. Unfortunately for me, I live in London (UK) so nothing much here, except there's a well known retro computer museum about 100miles north in Leicester. Might go n visit it soon, if so, i'll do a little montage vid of it.
David B there's www.computerspielemuseum.de/1210_Home.htm in Germany. Us Europeans can't teleport between countries here in Europe either, but something fun to go to if you visit mainland ^^
In The Netherlands there's www.nationaalvideogamemuseum.nl (Zoetermeer), www.computermuseum.nl (Zwolle) and if you like pinball there's www.dutchpinballmuseum.com (Rotterdam).
Bro I have been here and I absolutely love it!! Me and my grandma went and she actually remembered some of the very old consoles from the 70s!! She was even playing the big Pong machine with me and it beat her lmao!
Nice work on this, and thanks for sharing! I’ve been meaning to get down to Frisco to check out this place, as I have some family that lives pretty close. Looks fascinating.
Great video Kelsey. I had no idea there was NVM. My local video game store is Digital Press in NJ and they have a NVM display behind glass in the back. I just thought it was their own gimmick / collection. What a surprise that was untrue, but that there is a video game museum. Keep up with the great content.
Live in Dallas, been planning to go this summer since it’s conveniently located in metroplex area and no excuse why I wouldn’t be able to experience this great piece of gaming history.
This was fun to watch. I’ve never been to the museum in Texas but did see it at E3 years ago and wrote a GamerHub piece/interview with the founders too. Turns out one of them was only a few mins from my house in NJ. Small world, huh! I think it was Joe S. That I dealt with.
I was actually just there yesterday (1/2/2019) with some friends. Dear god this place was incredible. All the history and sheer love for gaming that went into this is not something i can truly put into words.
Anyone reading this that hasn't gone, it's well worth the trip
If I ever find my way to Texas, I need to check this place out. In the meantime, this'll do.

Awesome video, Kelsey! This one is your best yet! Definitely want to check this museum out someday. You rock!
That looks like fun to have been at a museum showcasing the origins of videogames.
1) great chiptune music 2) always enjoy your thorough research 3) dang, the museum looks pretty sweet.. especially enjoy the recreated 80s bedroom they had on display.. ahhh the nostalgia! ^_^

Awesome video Kelsey, looks like a place I’d love to visit. Maybe by then they’ll complete the additions and it’ll even be more epic.

She... she is
Great video, really enjoyed it! I'll probably never go to this museum because how far away it is, but this was the next best thing!
This was pretty entertaining to watch! Can’t wait to go there some day
Great video! You don't put out videos as often as some TH-camrs, but the ones you put out are always very well thought out, and very informative. :)

Went there this past april. Cool little place. The arcade complete with 80's music was awesome.
I went there last summer. Phenomenal museum. Great video!
I remember the song from the contest in one of your podcast! Perfect background music for this video.
I like visiting natural history (parks, mountains, canyons etc), but this, I didn't know how much they had. It's now high on my vacation list.

Nice to see another video from you Kelsey ~
This looks awesome! We had a similar touring exhibition in the UK called Game On 2.0 but I don't think it compares to the NVM. So much to see
Great video, I think it was very professionally done, I really enjoyed it!
A very cool museum to be sure! So many memories! If I ever get down to Texas, I'll be sure to check it out!
Looks like a great time at the museum, will have to keep this in mind next time I'm out that way!

Nice work on this, and thanks for sharing! I’ve been meaning to get down to Frisco to check out this place, as I have some family that lives pretty close. Looks fascinating.
Being diabetic the blood glucose monitor is pretty neat and had no clue it existed. Puppy pong was pretty cool. Thanks for that info.
Great video Kelsey. I had no idea there was NVM. My local video game store is Digital Press in NJ and they have a NVM display behind glass in the back. I just thought it was their own gimmick / collection. What a surprise that was untrue, but that there is a video game museum. Keep up with the great content.
Joe Santulli, one of the three founders of NVM, owns Digital Press the game store, too :)
Kelsey Lewin you're so gorgeous
Wow thanks for sharing, that place looks really cool.
Great video Kelsey, well done!

Great video! I did not know this existed. I want to visit now.
Why would anyone down vote this video? Anyway, nice tour Kelsey. The museum looks awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Live in Dallas, been planning to go this summer since it’s conveniently located in metroplex area and no excuse why I wouldn’t be able to experience this great piece of gaming history.
Yay Texas! Now I have a reason to go over to Frisco. Time for an 8 hr round trip. I wish there was one of these in Houston...
This was fun to watch. I’ve never been to the museum in Texas but did see it at E3 years ago and wrote a GamerHub piece/interview with the founders too. Turns out one of them was only a few mins from my house in NJ. Small world, huh! I think it was Joe S. That I dealt with.
Thanks.... I never heard of this before. Your channel is an inspiration for your fast growth. Keep up the amazing work!
Great video, Kelsey! Ur tuning into quite the retro-gaming journalist.
Any friday with Kelsey is a great friday ^_^
Dude, you're trying too hard.
Ironic coming from the guy who claims to have the "Biggest Dick In The World".
I visited this for first time this weekend, it was great!!!
That place is TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!
