You guys need to get Billet Labs their block back. Find whoever you sold it to, buy it back, and return it like you told them you would.
It's probably in the hands of another company that makes GPU coolers and the money is probably already in linus bank account by now.
LTT are far to busy to do such things, they gotta push out seven videos a week because "reasons", next thing you know you'll be expecting them to fact check their videos BEFORE hitting publish. Remember LTT is only for entertainment, except when it isn't.
Too busy rushing their videos out to worry about any damage they are doing to real people trying to get their business off the ground. Or care what we think
Why don’t they sue them?
cause they r just two guys who are a small start up with no money for lawyers
I love how this series just slowly turns into Employees using Linus to do random stuff around their home XD
Someone is going to throw a whole bidet system in the cart one of these days.
i mean its fair they do stuff for linus he can return the favor lol
*Linus jumps on screen "Hey everyone, today we're at-"
*Employee playing xbox* "Yeah yeah yeah, can you just install the SSD and clean my kitchen? Thanks."
Arguably it was worse before, he had to ban painting jobs lol
This is Linus paying his employees to hang out with him.
The damage you've inflicted on Billet Labs and the absolutely incredulous act of auctioning something that never belonged to you needs to be addressed for the sake of your credibility going forward.
can’t wait to hear his excuse and how it’s not his fault blah blah blah
I really hope Billet Labs can get a Lawsuit out of this. They should say this guy arrogant guy. Disgusting behavior I really wished that never happened. Billet Labs will see greater days
billets own twitter post shows they GAVE the item to LTT, as per the agreement, then asked for it back as they realized it was their best performing prototype.
@@Aqualightnin even so, LMG still had it for over a month and didn't send it back. Not to mention they agreed to send it back... It's shameful behaviour.
Billet Labs admitted in reddit that the prototype isn't that important, since they are fine with someone else having it.
Billet Labs issue need to be addressed. Misrepresenting them and then auctioning their product!
This hideous.
5000 for a upgrade can't be bothered to spend a few hundred to get a review right.

Yeah we need answers
@@xdognatex9897he doesn't pay the $5,000 for the computer upgrade. AMD pays that. This entire series is rich company pays employees of another rich company to get computer upgrades.
you as well as many others are misconstruing that comment. it wouldnt matter if he spent a billion dollars, the point stands. the cooler is priced at 800 and is an egregiously bad pruchase at that price with ANY performance possible by physics. its a stupid buy and should not be purchased.@@xdognatex9897
Watching Linus explore his employees home is way too comical😂

Answer: Replace the light with two lights to either side of the original location and now you can mount the projector in it's place (Bonus you can turn the old light electrical box into a receptacle for the projector to plug into). Would only take Brian the Electrician about 2 hours to get that done for you.
pretty sure Brian the Electrician doesn't live in the area anymore
@@schenkov Damn it, there goes the potential use of that kick ass music and intro they did for him!
I hope there's attic access to get a constant power source.
That Brian the Electrician is electrifying and helpful, such a helpful man
Why replace the light fixture when you could create an elaborate cable and pulley system to deploy the projector ala Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible?
>receive prototype device that the company wanted returned after testing
>don't install it on the card that it was specifically designed for
>don't use the instruction manual the company provided for you
>trash said company for it being difficult to install, and that it doesn't work properly on the wrong card
>refuse to actually test it on the card it was designed for
>steal the prototype and auction it off to company's potential competitors
>double down on your slander of the company because you don't want to spend money to retest
Linus Fake Tips......
GN should offer to review their product after they can make another prototype
@@chincemagnet Assuming they even have the means to do so. Hopefully they do, but yeah, LMG deserves to be blasted apart in court over this. This doesn't come from a place of hate or anything, I enjoyed their work for years, right up until yesterday when I saw the GN video.
This is a matter of principles and integrity. Linus may need a dictionary to grasp those.
Yep, they're disgusting for doing that
oh you're talking about the waterblock review he made a while back. Yeah that was bs
LTT: We built the lab to get better, more accurate data for the consumer!
Viewers: But the data is wrong!
LTT: It costs too much money to correct it. But we make these videos for you, trust me bro!
Me: "Nope!"
that its marketing bro not accurate data
LTT: Also we didn't follow instructions for this product, so we think it's bad because it doesn't work.
Viewers: maybe you should try it again because you did it wrong
LTT: No that would be pointless because we don't like it
Billet: Ok can we at least have our prototype back
LTT: Yes
LTT: *Auctions it for money*
he lost me when he said "oh I cant spend $100-$500 in man hours to actually review this product" while whining about how rushed everything is--because he's the one rushing everything
this is a gross misrepresentation of the comment. he said it wasnt worth spending 100, 200, or even 500 bucks on testing the cooler any differently because "AT 800 dollars its a bad product and noone should buy it". that comment is one hundred percent VALID! no amount of testing would change it's price point, which is the problem with it entirely.
i hope you understand these items arent "loaned" to LTT to test, they are GIVEN. it belonged to LTT, then was requested back. they said they'd give it back but couldnt find it. it got lost in storage. months later was found and auctioned @@crushboss
this series is slowly becoming a home makeover series
Linus: BUSDRIVER, MOVE THAT BUS!
slowly?
...and I'm okay with that :D
At least the dangerous code violations aren't compounded by double occupancy here... burn
Home makeover series are typically likely more professional and have more accurate data
This series bought me back to watching LTT. It got me into watching some of the other hosts and I like seeing the staff who usually aren't on the business end of the camera.
Which end of the camera is the business end? I’d say the videographer is a business end. And the on screen presenter is there to get a project written and shot. And Linus is there to… Linus. Which somehow actually is his job, and a necessary job. Maybe others are capable of Linusing.
Anyway my point is in a Media Company I have no clue what the Business End isn’t.
@@chickenmonger123 in the case of Alex here. Both. Not even a hard question to answer.
I actually feel like this series is... idk... lacks. I don't know this guy so really it makes the video hard to be invested in. Linus is great as a host but there's only so much he can do to keep me invested... this one is a scrap for me but hey people are clearly loving it so that's all that matters.
@@peartreez it's different for me. We've seen how the sausage is made. Now I want to see the people helping make the sausage.

LTT was the channel that got me into building computers. Now, I don't feel like I can really trust what they say. Big shame, let the money and bottom line take away your credibility
maybe wait for some perspective on this. billet themselves already debunked part of GN's post with their twitter response.
Linus Fake Tips
@@Aqualightnin They didn't debunk anything they said that LTT paid for it after the fact and only after they pursued potential legal action over it linus was perfectly happy with screwing them over and really he still screwed them over because they didn't get their prototype back they had to remake it from the ground up
dont trust that egomaniac that doesn't care about his viewers
their post TODAY literally says they GAVE the item to LTT, it was theirs to auction@@TannerLindberg
I hope you take the criticism from the community well and actually improve and better yourselves including apologising to all the companies who you've wrongly criticised, such as BilletLabs and track down who bought their prototype and have it returned to them!
Edit: well that response was even more disappointing
He won't. He can't take criticism, he assumes it's a personal attack and then doubles down
I hope this whole issue blows up.
They wont, Linus doesnt take criticism well...
I mean I sure how he stops stealing things, like comon even if not legally it's at best theft with extra steps. Absolutely pathetic.
100% real talk!!!
Linus you need to remember people watch your videos because they trust that you have put in honest work to bring us accurate and correct information - the moment you lose that trust it is almost impossible to regain it - remember that when you decide to put money over honest work because the money will only come so long as the latter exists.
Linus isn't bothered by such things unless it hurts himself in some way. Yes he's that type of person, he's a sociopath.
@@MAarshall That reminds me. He doesn't allow LMG employees to discuss their salary per company policy.
@@SimonPetrikovy what's wrong with that?
Wake up, they've been sketchy since the very beginning. It's just now finally caught up with them.

my man got the amd tech upgrade and then left the company, legend
Linus got his pound of flesh by destroying the man’s ceiling.
You guys should be sued by Billet for misrepresenting their product and also theft.
Yeah LTT needs to be sued.
Yep. Breach of Contract, Negligence, Defamation, Conversion and Economic Interference (Tortious interference) are a few that come to mind
(Im not a lawyer)
Totally agree!
LMG didn't actually own it, so they didn't have the right to sell it... Billet should be able to get it back if they get lawyers involved.
I agree
The fact that he probably will never install the projector because he has to move the light, is hilarious! 😂
It's the holes sealing the faith for me. I have to take it off to patch up El's work and the way it's hooked up means I gotta buy more gear in all likelihood so it's going up on Marketplace at some point.
@@AlexPotvinyo! you're the guy!
@@AlexPotvindon't let your dreams be memes! Stop giving up, yesterday you said tomorrow, JUST DO ITTT!!
@@AlexPotvin Isn't there a zoom and focus wheel over the lens on that projector?
It blocks the door, it's a fire hazard. Either rearrange the room so you can still get out while the screen is down or it goes in another room.
Bro not returning that block and selling it was besides just basically theft also pathetic.
"The Problem with Linus Tech Tips: Accuracy, Ethics, & Responsibility"
LTT should probably be sued for what they did to Billet Labs
Absolutely. They should be forced to get that prototype back, pay damages commensurate with the fact that they may have destroyed this small company's future by auctioning off their prototype without permission.
Yep the damages and stolen design data is too much, now anyone can make them...any kind of compensation is pointless now...
And even if Billet Labs would make a product despite the design being shared with the world, the damage of unjustified defamation of the brand has already been done. He has to be sued.
the problem is Billet labs is a small UK based company and LTT is based in Canada, very very expensive to sue internationally and what not, which is why LTT can get away with it without any repercussions, other than coming across really scummy.
Here we are, with that narrative proven false, and yet Gamers Nexus has yet to apologize or issue a correction.
take the light out in the room, rewire it to be an outlet, and then use that outlet for the projector, mount it there, and use the other outlet (being two total on the thingy) plug in a light so u can still have one
Could mount two wireless switches in a box hanging from the ceiling, one for the lamp and one for the projector and have the power to both through the switch by the door. And then place the lamp below the projector on a separate hanger that goes out around the projector. This would make it possible to change each individual. EDITED.
but then you'd have to have the switch on for the plugs to work so if you tried to turn off the light then you'd turn off the projector too
@@jakehiggins5118 Depending on how you plan your setup that could actually be a good thing.
If the wiring and MCBs used are suited to supplying an outlet which should always be specd to the maximum capacity of the outlet being used.... Not terrible in this case where it will be removed before moving out but not good practice at least not where im from lol
@@jakehiggins5118 Just move that lights feed out of the switch side and into the line side...... Its just kind of shitty if anyone tries to isolate what they think is a power point at the switch board only to find out its on a lighting circuit after turning off every breaker in a quest to fix DIY wiring ideas hahaha
FYI, for the projector/light issue: just remove the ceiling light and install an electrical socket in its place, then mount the projector right there, solving the power problem as well. Then just use a floor lamp or two in the corners of the room for light.
Just watch the rating on the fuse. I know in my country that sockets have a 15/20A fuse whereas lighting has a 10A. Shouldn't be a problem if you're running efficient bulbs, but if its a bunch of 100W incandescent for example it may draw too much.
And leave the light switch on the wall so you can turn on/off your projector from the wall.
@honorablead Don't do this.. use your remote. Projectors need to properly shut down.
These videos are pure jank with zero building permits or code concerns. You can't drop a screen in front of the only exit door or blindly drill into the celling of a condo but here we are watching both.

the previous owners of my house had those 70's wooden panels glued to the walls in most rooms of the house. my parents took down most of them, but one room my dad planned to use as an office. three kids later it was time for me to have a room, and on one wall they just slapped drywall over it since it didnt have any outlets or wiring on either side.
well eventually i wanted a desk in my room along that wall and outlets for anything i wanted to plug in. the electrician was taken aback when he tried cutting out the first outlet and his keyhole knife flexed as he pushed in to cut. once he knew it was there he had to actually find the stud.
years later my room layout changed, and now i have some things anchored to the wall, bookcases, tracked adjustable shelving, three monitors, but for the most part, the stuff is light enough i can just drive into the paneling without worrying if its on stud or not.@@LzysGraphics

At this point any data supplied by Ltt has to be taken with a grain of salt. There is a 70% chance it may be wrong. See how easy it is to make things up.
Whenever LTT reviewed something I owned I always noticed how little they actually explored the product and how many failures were just their lack of information on how the product worked since I own a very very tiny amount of what's reviewed I use to wave it off. A lot of things make more sense now. This is as disappointing as it is lousy and awful

Selling the Billet Labs prototype was dirty af and those responsible should be ashamed. Slow the f down and do things right.
In a proper company they would be fired.

Billet labs deserves better
I'm a bit out of loop can you elaborate on what happened?

Justice for Billet Labs
Regardless of what you do, billet labs really should sue you guys.
will probably cost them even more money ... and lose because of it. I'm with ya tho, Linus is acting like a scumbag right now.
@@makedaevilmage
I don't even think he is acting like a scumbag, I think he is acting callous. He didn't like the product because in his mind the product is a 800$ waste of money no matter how well it does, so every other action once he had decided that shows his lack of care for it because after all, if it's a waste anyway why bother with it beyond thrashing it?
An honest opinion does not always have to please the manufacturer. That would be paid advertising, and there is already more than enough of that on the web. LTT has always had a refreshingly different approach. But professional test results will also come with the Lab in the future. But what does all this have to do with the Tech Upgrade?
@@gerhard.seemueller I am just hoping to get an answer what does that have to do with LTT selling off something that wasn't theirs.
@@Netro1992 Nothing. The cooling block was auctioned off in a charity auction and not used in a tech upgrade. Someone must have reached into the wrong shelf. That happens when internal processes can't keep up with the enormous growth.
Woah, Red Alert: A Path Beyond on an LTT video? That's a crossover I never expected to see...
As lead engine developer for this project (and others on the same engine) its always good when our games get more exposure...
Nice!
thats cool
is this game still being worked on, and is it active
Looks neat I need to check it out I came to the comments just to find out what he was playing. C&C Renegade was such a great game.
I genuinely hate to take away from someone's special video experience, but the GN video is really the most important video LTT viewers should be watching now. This is honestly unacceptable. I genuinely hope Linus takes the time to watch the video, reflect and then directly address the community. Not 30 minutes of frustrated rambling on the WAN show. A real response. And Ideally a roadmap forward. I've been an LTT supporter for a long time. I'm hoping that this is the wake-up call they need. I hope they take it and can move forward. But if this just comes to pass with no action, I'm out.
Linus won’t watch the video, but he will read the comments 😂
Games Nexus?
@@EikottXD Yes and its a 44 minute takedown with the receipts, well worth the watch.
if you're interested, linus responded to the video with a post on his forum. he said "There won't be a big WAN Show segment about this or anything. Most of what I have to say, I've already said, and I've done so privately."
@@hiddendrifts Ooooh, meaning that GN will be making a follow-up video of Linus "No balls" Sebastian's 'private' thoughts on how his company has screwed up.
How could you ef up the whole Billet Labs situation on so many levels? Really lost my trust in LMG
GN just flamed you boy, enjoy soothing the burn 🔥
I really like this channel but what you guys did to Billet Labs is despicable
Here we are, with that narrative proven false, and yet Gamers Nexus has yet to apologize or issue a correction.
What you did to Billet Labs is unbelievable.

Fix what you done with Billett Labs!!!!
Dear Linus and LTT team, I know taking criticism is not always easy, but we as fans would like to see you grow and improve from the criticism that the community and GamersNexus have thrown at you. We as a community would also appreciate it if you would sort out the issues with Billet Labs
Thanks

dear @pineapplepizza5733 if you did a modicum of research you would see the item was reacquired and given back to billet before the posting of the GN video, as well as monetary compensation

Linus will start "caring" when it hurts himself.
Incoming "we messed up" PR video with no changes to how they do things

I love how when Linus is standing on a bed he is still only a head taller than his editor 😂
I was about to comment this 🤣
"Billet Labs asked for the prototype back on June 28th. This would allow them to send it out to other media or use it for further development. LMG agreed at least twice to return the product. At LTX, LMG put the one-of-a-kind water block up for auction at its extra life auction event WITHOUT the permission of Billet Labs." "Billet told us that it is now stalled it no longer has its best prototype for continued development. It's also missing one of its GPUs." - How scummy can you get, LTT?
Here we are, with that narrative proven false, and yet Gamers Nexus has yet to apologize or issue a correction.
If I send you my wife for review, can you also say how bad she is, take her and auction her off? She's been nagging me all day.
This channel is more of a comedy show than something I would go to for facts and learning anything.
Right? Only the laughing track is missing.
As an ex-magnolia guy… the chaotic, and completely haphazard way this channel approaches home theater setups both drives me insane, and fascinates me on those occasions when it works.
Should we check how much drop we need for the screen? Nah, it’ll be fine. Should we pick a projector with the correct throw ratio for the room? Nah, they’re all the same, let’s just get one and see what happens. Should we stop to consider whether a projector is a good idea in a room with so much ambient light, and no budget for an ALR screen? No, because projectors are better than TVs, duh.
I love this channel, but man do they need to get home theater experts on the payroll, cuz everytime they do anything with it, you can tell they’re just winging it, and have no idea what needs to happen before they start.
Ex installer here as well. I both enjoy and despise watching their installation logic (or lack thereof).
this say to me that they have no idea what they are talking about and its all just "trust me bro"
I used to like LTT but they did Billet Labs dirty
bwahahaha, they forgot to remove the tape from the mouse they REVIEWED BRUH~

LTT stands for Linus Thief Tips or Linus Tech Thieves
A Path Beyond! I spent so many hours in that game. Was a blast! Played as Kazmo and was top sniper kills at some point with two different names! Glad to see it's still around.
Thanks, I was looking for the name of the game and don't think it actually made it in the video
