    I installed my Peragon a year ago. Love it! Took a little give and go to get it installed BUT the client service folks are top notch!

    I had a paragon tonneau cover. It looked good, it moved out of the way like they said. It didn't leak a little it leaked a lot, from every seam. I couldn't travel with any gear, that was unprotected, in rainy weather. As for snow, if you didn't get it all off, it would do a slow drop until it was gone.
    My wife said to never get another when I got my new truck, I had to agree.

    Thanks for the follow up....I have always either owned soft covers or hardshell truck caps, but hearing that the Peragon held up that well after a year....it will definitely be one to consider in the future. And CONGRATS JuanF!!!

    Congrats Juan. That cover does look great. Truck company's need to look more into adding built in storage all through out the trucks. There is a lot of wasted space.

    Great follow up review. I like that truck bed cover; my wife use to have a 08 f150 and all i had on it was a leather cover that rolled up/pain in the butt. Yours looks alot cleaner on your truck.

  • @codyrobertson4630
    @codyrobertson4630 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    After seeing this video i wish we still had the old f150. One thing that was pretty cool and handy that i had installed on it was a metal rolling tray on it that was the same size of the truck bed. The front of the tray would roll all the way to the back of the tailgate when opend and could hold up to 1,500 Lbs. I could grab blocks, wood, and bags of horse feed with out ever having to get in the back of the truck bed.

    I purchased a Peragon cover 4 years ago for my new Silverado, very nice looking cover, seems secure, the Silverado with the Peragon sits in the garage most of it's life only being driven about 6000 miles a year but the cover leaks so much water it is terrible, most of the water I see is from the car washes but hard rain's are just as bad. I own 4 Silverado's and all the other trucks have Lund covers and don't leak a drop thru car washes or rain. My other trucks have Lund hard fold covers. so save your money

    Way to go Juan! Love the veto pack. That is the man purse tool carrier extraordanaire! I have a ridgeline so I'll have to check on that paragon system. And to everyone who says it is not a real truck- it has a cab and a bed and carries 4x8 plywood with no problem. I hate to sound defensive but I am. Dan knows how you have to defend the ridegy.

    • @ricnrolle

    Nice follow up. I like this better than the roll up ones that have the canister permanently in the back. Although there are some that don't take up bed space and that's what I would prefer. That cargo bar is a great idea. Congrats to Juan for winning the Veto Pack.

  • @Lanninglongarmmowing
    @Lanninglongarmmowing 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Congrats to the winner. That thing is really slick. I wonder if you could flip it over so it would take up space on the top of the bed so it's not taking up space in the front of the bed.

    Congrats Juan. Nice reviews guys. I'm not totally sold on which truck bed cover to get. Your revisit of the Peragon was great, but I will have to continue to check into other makers and designs before deciding. Just got rid of the '03 Ram 2500 and got a '14 F150. Will be adding a cover in the near future.

    Consider a 2 year video update? I'm curious would how has it continued to wear (garage kept?)? If you had to buy it again would you or would you consider another brand? It seems like a lot of these tonneau covers are not really built to last the life of the vehicle which is a shame considering the price points.

    Thanks for mentioning the possible obstruction when items in the bed may shift. Not crazy about the holes either but I may be okay with it. Still, it's food for thought. The cost for a quality cover is secondary for me as I would rather spend more for something that's durable.

    Congrats Juan! Greet video too. I have really been considering a truck bed cover but I feel like there is so much crap out there. I agree with Eric though. A lot of the really nice covers take up way to much real-estate when they fold in. It looks like this cover does a nice limiting the required space. Does anyone know what kind of weight limit this cover holds while closed? I only ask because of snow load concerns.

  • @joshstew2817
    @joshstew2817 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you leave it partially open? I was thinking change the strap to have a rope w loops to clip into a tie dow at each level of the next drop of the panels. and what do you do after it rains and you need to open it? Does the water all drain into the truck when the panels fold down? Maybe I could put a bin up font on both sides and add a drain for them. I like how its made in the US, but just thinking about how it will work daily and ways to use it.

  • @amb158
    @amb158 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    My main concern is moisture leaking through the slats into the bed through the slits between the sections when retracting it, was this an issue you had with it? I live in a place where winters can be pretty rough, and wet, and I really don’t want to deal with snow or water or ice falling through into the bed onto all of my stuff

    right?

    This cover is not for the guys that want to do quick turn around installs. It actually takes some skills and some finesse to make them work properly. I saw the comments from the installer guy he is an idiot LOL. I put a Color Matched Peragon cover on my 2016 that I just traded in. I liked it, the biggest selling feature for me was the color match it was perfect. Not going this route again though, I am looking for a more watertight cover for my new 2017 truck.

    there is a major flaw in the operation of this cover. it's impossible to open if you have cargo that is anywhere near the rear of the truck bed.

    For me the rolltop covers are not as good as th the hard single ones like the undercover. One concern I had was what do you do when you have to haul dirt? Dirt will screw up the channels for the cover. Thanks guys for the Review. Looking Forward to seeing more stuff for the F150 in reviews.

    seems like a piece of junk considering it costs over 700.00 dollars i recommend getting a piece of leather or vinyl and some snap buttons and make your own bed cover for about 100.00 dollars . Thats what i did and 2 yrs later it still looks like new , even through the heavy snow we get in Pennsylvania . Just make sure you pick something nice and thick !

  • @firefighterbrian01
    @firefighterbrian01 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would not buy again. Does not keep you bed dry. Leaks, and if you have snow or water on top, it dumps into the bed when you open it.
