Ah ok very interesting ending. Love that you picked that Mopar for your feature event. Ill have to start thinking about that 500 word essay. Happy for your good fortune on that Supra✊
Where could I get the manual version you have in the binder? I actually like how have it set up and i feel like i could learn from it whenever i can get my hands on a mk3.
It’s the the “TSRM” or the Toyota supra repair manual. It is year specific, but to start you out Here’s a link to a free online copy of it. www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/default.aspx
Do yourself a massive favor and buy some Vessel Impacta screwdrivers. JIS tips with an internal impacting mechanism. Fit the Japanese screws and any Phillips heads phenomenally, so well it will hold the screwdriver up when horizontal in the head, and the impact function means it will get out even crazy stuck stuff without stripping. They're affordable. Just a quick thought when I saw you hammering the screwdriver. Really awesome you got it back up and running! Did you do anything to clean the rust off the driver cam? Did I miss that? Or just send it and let it clean itself? Not criticizing just asking, hahaha.
I’ll have to take a look at that screwdriver. WD-40 and a light wipe with a Green Scotch-Brite then paper towel actually knocked it down pretty nicely. Though I am gonna be replacing those those cam shafts with slightly more aggressive cam when I rebuild that engine.
Awesome deal! Glad it worked out in your favor! That's a nice cool car! One of my best friends bought a 71 Buick GS stage 1 350 last week, now I can get my hands in on a Buick too! The 1UZ supra is my favorite and you should put the 440 in the satellite before you give it away! You definitely need to experience a 440 4 speed while you have it there!
Oh man 1970 cuda 440 is the King of Mopar in my mind. It is the only car I would want in yellow and it would need a hockey stick stripe. Top 5 cars for me
Between the two Supra's, I'd pick the black one. As much as I like the 6 in a row, I'm not a fan of automatics. As far as the Satellite goes, I'd send it just like it is. Us fan's have watched that car go from a rusty clunker, to something drivable. The next owner might just want a famous, (or is it infamous 🤪), car that people recognize. Then they can put their spin on it. Just my $.02.
The Supra with the built engine and suspension is cool but, there's something special about any car or motorcycle in it's stock form. Especially a factory sports car. Just my opinion. Thnx!!
What year is that red Supra. You know the gal in Texas would gladly buy it and those manuals from you. Sweet man! I’d love to have the Satellite. I really have soft spot for stock so my fav is the red Supra.
Hi from uk bryan👋👍 what a great turnout for supra man I am buzzing for you 👌 and why did they not change specs as you said for the torque sequence (thats the question🤔) I am pleased that everything worked out tho 👍 especially as she sat for a minute it fired right up👌 and as for the supras I like them both cos they they both kinda equal to each other👍 black one quicker out the traps but once red one gets into boost it will catch the black one ( as long as you can keep it in boost) 👍 game on 👌 as for satellite just make it good safe and a good daily user optionally you can put your hemi in it if I win 😂😂 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon 👍👋
I was not expecting it to be as successful as it was. But from my experience with them you are never that lucky. Like the expression goes sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good 😅
@@LunarOutlawsGarage sure is nice to be lucky tho👌 just hope everything stays as good you had some rough but maybe things are turning good for motors for you and us too👍 keep up good work 👌

Great job! I have a NA 7MGE in my 83 Celica Supra. Just removed the valve covers to get them painted. Might be a great time to check on those head bolts. I've been beating on this 7MGE for 8 months now. Got it from a mk3 in the junkyard. Runs like clockwork. I don't know how it hasn't blown a headgasket yet. Or why the Mk3 ended up in the junkyard in the first place...... th-cam.com/video/Blb2A3g5CQ0/w-d-xo.html
That is great that the Supra is up and running. Shows a Toyota cannot be killed easily. To answer your question that you posed at the end, I like the black Supra better. This is simply because of the front end. The black Supra has the Supra badge sitting proudly in front of the hood and the old school TOYOTA next to the drivers side front turn signal. The red Supra has the then new (and current) Toyota cooperate logo, which to me always looks like a cow wearing a sombrero. I think that removing of the Supra badge on the front in favor of that Toyota cow symbol sort of disrespects the Supra. As that Supra badge seemed to denote the Supra was special and not just a regular Toyota. After all Toyota did not have to change the badging for that Supra because in 1991, it was only going to be made for one year more and in 1993 a new Supra was brought out. They could have waited for that change. To me there was always something magical about the old school blocky TOYOTA badging. Perhaps it is because it denotes the 1980's when a lot of cool cars either came out or were refined. or in the case of my 1985 and 1987 Olds Cutlass Supremes stagnated with its whopping 140hp 307 V8 that had a crap ton of vacuum hoses . Out of interest, what is the story behind the Mini that seems to have been beached in your driveway? I am a newer subscriber that came to you after watching AAR and that 1974 Buick so I might have missed that.
Lol I agree I prefer the sup emblem over the newer one, But I never thought about how it looks like a cow wearing a sombrero and I will never be able to unsee that. Hahaha fix the Mini years ago way before the lock downs here. Now Steph mostly works from home and only commutes a few times a week. I am thinking about turning it into her first drag car.

@@LunarOutlawsGarage Didn't figure it would be too bad. Nice! Look forward to more vids on the car.
I am looking to run it against other cars in the fleet
what is the proper torque spec? I've seen 30-60-90 in sequence

Nice it’s always cool to see someone adding a Buick GS in their collection. I am looking for a Abody for the 440 preferably a 70 or 71 duster

That’s why I was so pumped up about finding an original car. Absolute time capsule of its era
@@LunarOutlawsGarage Well we can thank the Chinese for ending what was called the Tuner era, because of cheap knock off parts..BTW great job!!👍👍

The red Supra is a 1991. I will have a hard time parting with it b/c I i’ve been wanting an untouched all original car for a long time. 😅

I think fuel injection would be a little bit out of the budget but would be really sweet. But an HEI would be cool.

Fit a manual gearbox to the red supra
Unfortunately that requires you to cut up the transmission hump. They make shift kits so I may do something along those lines
Still a long time to get to 50,000 still time to have fun with it.more body work to the satellite
Plenty of time to get in a little bit of trouble with it 😜
Weirdo
