What a sweet car. I had the opportunity to drive the V6 and I was extremely impressed in all areas. I'm not sure I'll be able to afford one any time soon, but it makes my 2012 Kia Optima SX seem like a Daewoo. Bravo, Hyundai.
I own a 2015 Genesis loaded like this one and like it. We've had some issues with the tires and had some expensive Michelin's put on and it rides and handles better. Overall its a great car with a ton of features!!

@@mercedesbenzs600bash Gas Cover mechanism broke and the 9.2" Navigation headunit needed replaced because the GPS function was working properly. The GPS antenna replacement by itself didnt solve the issue of the navigation arrow wandering off on the map screen.

I've been seen a lot of comments about how Hyundai copied other brands. In what way did they copy? Yes, the grill looks like Aston Martin's, but from perspective a ton of cars have some similar designs. Like the Ford Fusion and its grill. You have have to give kudos to Hyundai to make such a gorgeous and luxurious car (my dad owns the new one) and from where they came from. It's just amazing to see how much they've accomplished!

DSNCB919 The thing is that it does have a personality. The design cues are all used widely in Hyundai products. The grille is the hexagonal grille used in ALL Hyundais. The taillights are arched with a central connecting piece, which is found in the Sonata, Elantra, Aslan, and Azera/Grandeur.
You're only saying this because the car doesn't have a three-spoked star, blue/white circle, or four interconnected Olympics rings as the badge.
Ford does kinda own Aston Martin tho
Amazing piece of machinery. Idk what ppl say. This is one well design car with lots of premium features. Not to mention the Safest car on the planet earth according to IIHS top safety plus we with superior crash prevention. No BMW no maserati or other Germans cars offer that.

Hopefully, I’ll be in a 2016 in just a few weeks. Only 42K for $22,990. Listen, the interior is sexy as hell and videos give these cars no justice! When you actually sit in one and test drive it…..it’s LITERALLY a dream!!!! I JUST learned of this car and when I found it online, I’ve had my eyes glued to it. Drove it and fell in love LITERALLY! They tried to put me in it without a down payment, but I’m no dummy. I want a good, comfortable car payment, so I can keep my car! I will be buying this in a few weeks and can’t wait to wash and detail it. This car is beyond AMAZING!!!! It’s still under the radar, but when people really learn of it, watch. The fact that I know stories of people who owned BMW, Mercedes, Lexus and TRADED IN their cars for this one lets you know just because it’s big by name doesn’t always make it better!
I'm gonna check out a 2015 tomorrow, that has less then 40K miles and it's coming from a 4 - 4 1/2 star dealership, but it's a Lexus dealership. They know my family, I'm gonna throw my weight around and get it for 20-21K max, if I like it.

Wow, that's a whoooole lot of car for under 60K! My wife has a 2012 Sonata SE and her dream luxury car is a BMW; after seeing this I think she should reconsider, this car is amazing in and out for the price.

This car looks amazing in person with the bottom LED strips and the headlight LEDs on, it really stands out and fits in nicely with the Audi A7 and Mercedes CLS in terms of shape and size (while being nowhere near the price). It really should be seen in person, it looks great, especially for this price segment.
The 2015 Hyundai Genesis is on par with the BMW 5 series (actually the AWD transmission makes it beat the BMW 5 series) and far far superior than anything that Lexus makes.
Hyundai is a high-tech company that makes jet engines for Lockheed Martin and Boeing.
They are far more technologically advanced than Toyota/Lexus/Nissan.
StealthTechz Hyundai is very high tech and the 2015 Genesis is proof of that. The 2015 Genesis is built like a tank. And yes I'm full aware that Hyundai is more than just a car company.

This new Genesis is such a huge improvement over the last generation! And it sure is a looker! Any idea if you're gonna do the 2015 Acura TLX and/or 2015 Toyota Camry?
An excellent review of an excellent car. It's a shame that so many people let "brand snobbery" stop them from appreciating this car, despite the fact that I'm sure most of them have never driven it. One of the things I applaud Hyundai for is giving us a luxury car that puts the emphasis on comfort and a plush ride, rather than sportiness. To many luxury sedans try to be sports cars and have rides that'll shake your fillings out.. If you want a sports car, go buy a sports car. I don't want another 4000+ lb "sports" sedan. I want a long-distance luxo-cruiser that'll take me and three others on a long trip and make me feel calm, relaxed, and refreshed at the end of it. The Genesis delivers.

Amazing review! I wanted more information on the Genesis before I get it as my first car and I learned a lot more useful stuff about it. My favorite feature would probably be the automatic trunk. I was originally going to get the Veloster Turbo, but the Genesis is more of my type of car. Thanks Kyle, keep up the good work!

This car is amazing I liked it before the redesign and now it's amazing . I remember when it was just a concept now it's actually on the roads with no design changes. Hyundai really outdone themselves .
My siblings drive Mercedes, Lexus, and BMW. Three days ago I bought a 2015 Genesis, and I can tell you that it is equal in every way -- looks, performance, handling, comfort, features, safety, and build quality -- to their German/Japanese marquee cars. Even better, the Genesis I just bought with 39K miles on it looks brand new inside and out and, equipped with every feature available, cost me under $25K out the door.
The only thing my "new" car doesn't have is the perceived prestige of Mercedes or Lexus, but I kind of like having a car this good that turns heads and is a joy to drive, but is still flying a bit under the radar. And I also like keeping as much money in my pocket as possible.
Fantastic offering and tremendous value. The only thing i'm not thrilled about is the interior dash. Looks like it could have been nicer based on other models in the lineup having a more sculpted and flowing dash.
One thing I noted from the video is how nice the shifts sound. Nice and crisp instead of that rubber band like drone from gear to gear. Very neat.

My 2012 Kia optima is my dream machine....leather, heated and cooled front seats, panoramic roof, auto dual climate control, heated steering wheel, and let's face it ...these two companies and so entwined, I see the options on my car all over their newest offerings. Love my car!!

People just love to hate on this because of the brand! It makes me laugh tbh! This car is an absolutely beautiful creation but a quickly rising company! You can get a BMW 3 or 4 series or a 2015 C class and it still won't go close to the amount of creature comforts this thing will and you have an option of a V8. Absolute stunner in person and comes with one of the best warranties out there! Not that you really need one with Hyundai's dependability! Going to look at one this week. Absolute beauty.

Great job on the vehicle review! I've owned a Genesis for about 6 months now and found your information and opinions to be quite accurate. I didn't even know I had a self closing trunk!. I drove Audis for decades and bought this for the value and regular gas. It has all the power I need and gets plenty of positive comments at the gas stations. You forgot to mention it also has a "snow" mode. Can't wait to try it in these Montana winters! BTW,my Genesis, doesn't even carry a Hyundai badge. People ask me what it is. Plus 30+MPG highway.

I was thinking about buying a LEXUS 460L,but this is cheaper,less miles,it has a remote starter,I really like the overall look of the exterior compared to the Lexus exterior,the Genesis just might be the car for me...Great video my man,do you know of any major problems with this car over the years???? It's great to see just how far Hyundai and Kia have come. Very nice car, I'd take this over a new Mercedes any day. Still too much technology for me, but it has the traditional things that I need to have, such as analog speedometer and tach and a regular transmission/shifter that isn't completely electronic.

This is car is cool. I would get it. It's fine if you don't like it but make that decision AFTER you go look at it up close and TEST DRIVE the damn thing! Don't just dismiss it because it's not a Benz, BMW, Lexus or Infiniti (and if your azz is broke you won't be buying NOBODY'S car anyway so what difference does it make?) ALL cars need maintenance regardless of who builds it!!!!

I've already said this on a previous Genesis review and I will say it again.
The Genesis is a fine car and way better than what you'd expect from a Hyundai. It's only problem is that it's a Hyundai. There's nothing wrong with it, but many people still find Hyundais "pretty lame". Which is a damn shame, because they've come a long way from their crappy econoboxes from a long time ago to making great cars that actually brings some punch to the Germans and the Japanese.
And no, I'm not Korean. I know that because I've been in a 2014 Santa Fe and it's a fine car. It also looks great. And for the record, my family owns 2 Nissans.
If I had the money, this would be a serious consideration. It is tremendous value-for-money.

For those saying "copied", let's see you design a car.
Debating on a 15 Genesis or a 14 GS350. Love them both. Genesis is a great cruiser on good roads but mpg is not class leading at all. Navigating GS infotainment system will be a bit of a learning curve for me with that mouse like style they are using in Lexus now.

Thanks for helping me seal the deal with my lover. We will be trading our two 2014 328i sedans in for two genesis 5.0 with the ultimate packages. Funny this is we paid $49k for the lil 3 series and are only paying $55k for so much more. The BMWs are fun but we've outgrown them quickly as speed limits are cops are strict in Atlanta GA. Both are OTR truckers and prefer to cruise in comfort now lol. Ps: what kind of camera are you using for your reviews? Love it.

Oh, it is!!! I just went and test drove a 2016 yesterday and let me tell you….I LITERALLY fell in love! Videos give it no justice! When you actually sit in it, OMG!!! The inside is sexxxxxy!!! The ride was smoother than I imagined!!!
I will say that a lot of manufacturers are stepping up their game. I'm still fairly concerned with the collision steering assists, because I can guarantee that a crap load of people are going to over correct those predictive movements; resulting in a class-action lawsuit or "dummy" recall, but in reality it's just going to expose the real crappy drivers on the road.
Thats all cool and all but what about the reliability of the car, people forget that this is a Hyundai car and will probably break after 3 years of use and the maintenance will be at a luxury car's price.
10 year warranty. .
Hyundai still offers the best warranty 10 year/100,000 miles which is the highest out there. If they were afraid of it breaking down after 3 years, they wouldn't include such big liabilities.
I drive a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe that has absolutely ZERO problems. EVER. My parents each have 2013 Elantra's with no problems. Hyundai is so underestimated, they're great cars.

They're redesigned in AND out. My customers who own Genesis' or even Sonatas absolutely love their cars.
Very nicely done. Great detail. Have spent a lot of time between the Genesis and E Class. I honestly like looks of the E Class, not hung up on badge but the Genesis is feature packed. I have a real problem with a 52K base price vehicle that has fake leather seats and no XM radio as standard, E Class.

Looks too good to be a hyundai
Very fine car, and a great value. Not too crazy about the styling in front, but elsewhere is fine and has hints of other more established players in the luxury segment. Could be a positive or negative depending on how you look at that individually. But the interior is absolutely stellar and simply gorgeous. Great value given the warranty and feature content. Hyundai and Kia have really been on a roll the last few years.

Since I own the Kia Optima Turbo, I've found the closer you get to the nerve, the louder the competitors scream about how good the Korean cars are. I would love to upgrade the Optima for this car some day. Right now I love how my car hits the twisties in the mountains with vigour. I would skip the AWD option and just get the 3.8 RWD and option it out to at least option 2, because already just adding AWD brings it to $42,000, and as a person living in Texas I won't need to be worrying about snow
