This art is actually very old if u see the style...the items used, earlier people used to draw frm feathers matchsticks..... It's very free handed... Like as if anyone and everyone can make it. Also the original art of Janakpuri might be different bt since it was such a long yrs ago so might be some evolution had been made in this style... Because with every artist the style changes.... Like less of katchni and more of Bharni is used to be the old artworks... Bt now a days people prefer more of Katchi. Or Bharni in single or double colors.

If you do research on the living standard of the maithil people and their various aspects of life, you'll be surprised definitely. The language, music, art, text, cultural and festival food, worship, dress, sports, way of cultural education etc. everything is deeply affected by the Vedas. Definitely this is the oldest culture in the world. A lot of research can be done on it.
