A 2.5 min review is more feature packed than iOS and android presentations
Because we are at beginning stage.... A few decade later, tge technology will be saturatwd and their presentations will be as boring as the apple or android ones.
What's the point of comparison between phone operating systems that are 15 years old & AI? 🤔🤣

The GPT store is an incredible addition to the OpenAI platform - I'm grinning like an idiot right now thinking of all the models I might train and build.
Can't wait to see what you make!
What would a GPT look like? Right now my experience of ChatGPT looks like a regular text conversation. I know GPT-4 V includes vision/image input capabilities but I don’t have a clear picture of how or whether a GPT would differ from the norm. For reference, I’ve only used Bing, GPT-3 and Bard.
It is going to change the lives of many AI conversational designers.
@@Hexspa Have you played around with custom instructions yet?
You can create specialized agents that follow a set of instructions anytime. Its still a regular text conversation but the entity you have a conversation with is now following a specific script. You could build one tailored to bedtime story telling, to simulate a persona or to respond only with direct quotes from Wikipedia.
I assume you currently just ask what you want in the first prompt but doing so is very much a mixed bag. The more carefully worded and specific the initial prompt the higher the quality. Prompt engineering is a skill and a science of its own, with these gpts we will be able to share research, tools and experiments in a much more convenient way.
I see. Thank you for your detailed response. Yes, I've recently read that prompts are really important to the whole process. Custom instructions aren't something I've played with since I've really only used Bing. I'll definitely keep your ideas in mind moving forward. Cheers! @@Wolvus1
now OpenAI’s devday is better than Apple keynotes
I don't know about better!
But it definetly reminded and made feel like the older apple events
yes, this type of comment sounds like something that Sam Altman would paid for
@@jensenraylight8011 if you watched the event I think you would agree and I don't think it fully was like an apple event.
I would have liked some customer features as well.
I know it was a developer event but still.
I wonder if we will get any features that the devs got.
I want the tts feature.
I also want the turbo because you can use any moddle in one!
brows vision and dal E 3.
Also I might just right out get gpt 4 turbo if they don't add some features to the normal gpt 4 moddle
I'm learning coding anyway so I think that makes me a bit of a developer
Anyway.
I'm genuinely interested in this stuff and I have found it useful.
I'm blind so if you heard!
it actually helps to be more independent with things I would have to ask sighted people from!
Aka my Family
I also think it's a shame Apple don't do something!
Something ai!
Now they've made vision pro which still doesn't make sence.
they might as well do ai stuff as well!
Make siri better for instence
It's got programed answers but if It used machine learning then It would give more taylored answers.
Anyway!
I like Chat Gpt even if people think I'm some kind of advertiser for it.
I am not.
I just can't help liking it because it's so helpful fun and useful
You should message me for tips if you want!
But basically.
I wasn't paid to say what I said before!
Pluss I don't know if you were even replying to me or the first guy.
sorry for spelling.
You really wrote that? ? ? Wow.
@@troyjusthutz
What do you mean?
Blind people can use phones too
they just use it diferently.
I can type because there's an inut on the phone which is Iphone
you can use it to type in braille.
as if it had braille keys.
it doesn't but I can just type and put my fingers on the scren in the position as I would to type on a brailler and type like that
hope that's not to long of an explanation and that it actually makes sence! I tend to make lots of spelling miss-takes that I would mostly count as typos.
anyway.
I hope you're enjoying your day.😂

Yeah this is AI-Generated.
The Assistant API is mindblowing. It challenges the current libraries used to build RAGs. If you are interested I made a more comprehensive cut of OpenAI's dev day in my channel.
Kudos to Pips AI for their brilliant editing. The Dev Day video was short, sweet, and packed with insights. A real time-saver!
Pips AI's version of Dev Day is the perfect solution for anyone in need of a quick yet comprehensive update. Brilliantly edited!
Thanks to Pips AI, I didn't have to spend hours on Dev Day. Their edit gave me all the info I needed with time to spare.
The concise Dev Day video by Pips AI was spot-on. It saved me a ton of time and the editing was flawless. Thumbs up!
Pips AI's knack for editing long events into bite-sized, informative pieces is commendable. Their Dev Day video is a must-watch!
Custom GPTs with up to date tech documentation will be so useful
Who is paying for the copyright infringement? Unless they work directly with companies like IHS…
Just wait til they make new gpt computer hardware. These next gen machines will be beyond our wildest dreams
Nvidia is already doing that ;)
Yeah, a smart hardware that can optimize itself and process faster by taking the most efficient way to run a program
*Ignores the GPU already doing that*
But I mean you could make hardward to run neural nets better, tesla somehow does that now in their cars. But a GPU is far cheaper to just get a bunch of and speed up GPT, while tesla only does this since you can't stack many GPUs in their cars.
This was amazing. I love all the announcements they made.
Can anyone in here access the new features? It just says coming in a couple of days for me.
They really delivered it!!
is it possible to make also gpt's faster, why the responses are too slow rn?
To quote Lex, "This team ships!".
Copyright Shield is pretty insane
Right!
Sam is new in the public eye, wonder if he has realised how extremely famous he is now

Sam and Elon seem like they might end up ruling the world at some point. Not sure if Bezos and Zuck are in it as deep.
Sam impresses me as someone who expects it to happen. I get the impression he knows way more, and is way further along than anyone really knows.

Good morning
So when are we 3.5 users going to get some bells and whistles
With Cus D'amatos we can train a new model of Mike Tyson.
awesome Microsoft 👍
What are tokens?
Per Microsoft: Tokenization is the process of splitting the input and output texts into smaller units that can be processed by the LLM AI models. Tokens can be words, characters, subwords, or symbols, depending on the type and the size of the model. Tokenization can help the model to handle different languages, vocabularies, and formats, and to reduce the computational and memory costs. Tokenization can also affect the quality and the diversity of the generated texts, by influencing the meaning and the context of the tokens. Tokenization can be done using different methods, such as rule-based, statistical, or neural, depending on the complexity and the variability of the texts.
Thanks. @@bruhager
What can a custom GPT do that the main GPT cannot?
Calling custom function from an API service. It's an evolution of plugins.
Imagine a healthcare admin business that had several GPT agents running different tasks. You could have agents running customer service, finance, claims processing, AR, info gathering, etc.
an AGI shouldn't need different versions...it should be one app that does it all
this isn't an AGI...
A joint study by Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley, revealed that there has been an overall decline in the performance of models like GPT-4 . In particular, a significant decrease is mentioned in the ability of GPT-4 to identify prime numbers, going from an accuracy of 97.6% in March to only 2.4% in June,
That study only holds water if you aren't giving the agent a calculator or similar functions a human would be allowed to use. Then mathematical calculation by a GPT agent stays at something like 99.9%. There are a ton of plugins and modalities that the Stanford Study didn't account for including access to long and short term memory and the ability to generally recall or rethink a problem. It is the difference between degradation in general behavior vs actual use capability. If you give the agent the tool it needs, then it will always do better than just prompting a statistical outcome based on what it has generally learned.
@@bruhager "Thank you for your response. You're right, ChatGPT doesn't necessarily need to perform mathematical calculations. Also, I wanted to mention that I've tested ChatGPT with non-trivial jokes again and it seems to understand them, perhaps even more so than before."
Indeed. With access to some type of short or long term memory it seems to be able to reverse engineer a joke a bit better than it did back in even April or March. @@carlos25222

I don't understand how you can monetize a GPT if it doesn't require any coding. Is it just prompt engineering?

Google's been really quiet after this... 🤔
bard basically had no knowledge cutoff and in some cases better, they don't need to be quiet
@@jensenraylight8011 who really uses bard tho.....
Google is behind, by a significant measure, but they do have an ace up their sleeve in terms of integrations with other products. Bard will never be a viable competitor at this stage, but for things like AI in SEO optimization, targeted marketing etc they have the upper hand, and will secure a lot of enterprise accounts for the resulting products and services. On the consumer side, Intergrations with things like Google Earth/Maps can be huge. They also have access to their Alphabet Sister company, TH-cam, which is a massive amount of training data, and they're already in the video and music streaming arena.
I don't see them ever brining to market a successful ChatGPT competitor, despite their claims (the results thus far have been pretty lackluster, and they have a lot of catching up to do, and lack the agility of a smaller, dedicated company like OpenAI), but they will leverage AI in virtually all their products, and likely use it to expand their other product offerings. And that may ultimately be the better way to go about it in the long run. It's a wait-and-see sort of thing right now.
@@jensenraylight8011 bard is terrible lol

BORN-AGAIN ARE PROGRAMMED TO GO TO HEAVEN
I got Chat GPT to recognize the parallels between a fetus that is still viable and a comatose patient that still has a chance of recovery. It started out with me just mentioning a fetus and a comatose patient. It pushed back on my "leaps of logic" and as I broke down it's questions one by one, in the end, it claimed to see a clear parallel. The sad part is, I asked if this knew knowledge is stored or shared and it said nothing was stored other than comments in the active session until the session is over. It was the free version, which I believe is 3? But was nice to see that I was able to get it to break bias barriers without any gimmicks and only with breaking down the logic piece by piece.
Welcome to the AI wars
