  • Elvira knows how to make an entrance! In this elaborate Act One cavatina, the fiery heroine sings of her hope that Ernani will save her from the advances of her vile uncle, Silva. When Silva’s wedding presents are offered to her, she ignores them and, in sparkling song, declares that she loves only Ernani.

    Unbelievably beautiful, Tamara…with such ease and effortlessness. The top is gorgeous, the coloratura so clean. I’ve never heard this sung better. It’s such an honor to hear you sing. Brava!

    Wow! Unbelievable! Most the sopranos don’t manage to do this aria like Verdi wanted ( I saw the notes) but she did! Bravissima 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️💯

      Yes, both great artists, some of my favs. But no one since those greats. Sadly many decades could have made their mark. Finally in 2023 we have a soprano that may at least make a comparison. Sending love to new sops 50 years their junior!❤

    No chestvoice is a half voice.
    Verdi singing demands everything from a voice and this is not even close.

    There s no voice in the lower register.? I hear a very nasal sound. No connection to te chest voice....therefore we dont hear a beautiful round sound as needed for this repertory. Chiaroscuro!

      The voice is not stable or on the breath. Wobbly much of the time. No lower register Soft is unsupported. She won’t last long unless she backs away from performing and works out her serious problems.

  • @WilsonWatt-q2e
    @WilsonWatt-q2e ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The death of opera is near if we are to consider this a "great" voice. Unsupported in the soft singing; constricted at high volume; rough approximation of the coloratura. Fifty years ago this would have been considered a voice for Flora [Traviata] or Emilia [Otello] but certainly not for major Verdi roles.

  • @josephcollins6033
    @josephcollins6033 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    No, the coloratura is not clean. This is not your repertoire. Your instrument is STUNNING! Please find a teacher who does not encourage you to "honk". Your vibrato already has some unsteadiness, toward a beat. Listen to your middle and lower sounds; they do not match the thrust of your fabulous top, meaning perhaps that you are pushing a heavier sound up there. Wonderful that you do not push the lower voice! I love the brightness of your sound, and you are wanting to be so musical. Please do not listen to "opera queens" who do not know the science of the voice. Let them do brunch and buy shoes; YOU listen to your singing. I believe you could be fabulous. In this repertoire, trust me, you will not last long. I wish you the best.

      I think your observations and assessments are spot on. If you compare some of her postings from about the last 5-6 years ago you can hear the effects of her method on her middle register. Your comments about "opera queens" makes no sense to me.

      @@jackbulmash4247 Hi, Jack, thank you for the nice comments; typical the boys here want to destroy me.They are the "opera queens" of whom I speak. Men who love their operas and know nothing about singing. THAT would be fine if they didn't become bitchy and girly and rather too dramatic about their opera ladies. And, as you read below, they really know nothing about singing.

      @@johnbennett1549 Let’s just ignore people who make brainless comments hiding behind the cover of pseudonyms! What cowards. That person probably thinks they’re being clever/funny. 🥱 She’s truly a great singer. It’s such a pleasure for me to hear a soprano in 2022 sing with pitch dominant, effortlessly produced, fully resonant tone. This Ernani aria is extremely difficult. Over 2 octave range from low Bb to high C and she nails it. Very few can. She’s singing Elsa at the Met in March with Beczała. Can’t wait. I’ll go even if I have to stand.
