Finished my practice yesterday feeling really frustrated with my speed but this vid has lowered that, and it seems the downforce of this car is just none existent on Fixed. It's still a bit frustrating being like 2 seconds off of the pace of open but if everyone is in the same boat it'll still mean good racing this week
this is why i still used this run for the video tbh. i was pretty flustered myself and thought it would be good for everyone else to see its not as easy as we may have thought it would be. also the open sets are tuned way better imho.. theyre built properly where the fixed sets simply are what they are. just do your best and youll get better with each lap!
@@RobVrabel yeah the margins are a lot bigger going from oval to a road track like that so its quite easy to fall into a trap with comparisons. Soon as I saw your vid I hopped into a race and had fun, so you did exactly what you were aiming to do really. I started the week doing 15s and at end of week I got it down to 12.8 which at the start I couldn’t understand how people got times like that.
@@gedders thats quite the improvement!! great job dude! hopefully next time watkins rolls around on the schedule youll start closer to those time and improve even more on it!
i up'd it a bit from what i usually run it at but when i got to 46 ish % i felt like i was tight so i lowered it back down. honestly idk if its just the platform of the fixed setup for this week but i was honestly struggling compared to what im used to. made the best to get laps in to where i felt like it would be useful but certainly not one of my best runs ive done but still solid to show what i wanted to show
same, by lap 6 i felt better but still cant take the curbs like i wanted in this car. the tire model for this car has been like that for a while tho where theres like no fall off with the fuel burn. the cold tires to me were hard but i think the lack of downforce on the fixed setup is really whats making it feel as bad as it does imho
Getting into the 12’s becus of this video. Thank you
Thats awesome! Great job and keep it up!

i found with the laps i did drive the car to the tires, the longer I ran the raster I got and I live the cup car at the glen
