The fastest piece I was able to play in my very short clarinet career (almost 50 years ago) was Jean Del(erue's) 'Promenade aux Charton' (Une petite piece pour Clarinette et Piano)....I still remember vividly playing it -very proudly- for my one and only public exam (first or second year) 'au ryhtme apaisant' ...It was one of the very few times that I noticed a faint smile on the face of my clarinet teacher!
