Big fan of Mind Pump. I switched careers and became a personal trainer at the age of 47, because I discovered a passion for fitness and health via your podcast.
I’m now 51 and specialize in strength training for women 40 on up. I currently have a 74 year old female client pulling 160lbs on her Sumo Deadlift. She’s found her passion for strength training, too. I’m beyond proud of her.
I have almost all of your programs, but I would love to have Maps Bands. I think my clients and myself could benefit greatly from it.
Okay, notifications are on, Im subscribed, I liked this episode (a lot😉) and I commented….sure would be grateful for Maps Bands…
Regardless-I love you guys-thanks for the consistently inspiring and helpful podcasts.💪

I love this message. I’m a new coach and I tell my clients ‘The goal is consistency, not perfection.’ And I can sense the light bulb goes off in their head when they hear that.

Thank you gents. Regarding platforms, I was a Flex and Muscle & Fitness subscriber back in the 80s/90s and I showed up late on YT for fitness content around 2018. It really reminds me of my Marvel journey, where I was into comic books as a kid and it took until the 2000s to re-experience those stories on screen. With fitness, it has re-affirmed my goals and helped me get to the best shape of my life in my 50s. I am an avid YT health & fitness content consumer now and you are right, I seldom look elsewhere.

Consistency is the key to success. For everything. I usually say that word a lot in my TH-cam channel. Keep working and stay consistent in life.

I’ve worked out consistently since high school (I wrestled in college, then in the marine corps, and now just a gym junkie). I feel like I took up the intensity mindset in my 20s because I always chased that workout high. It wasn’t until I hit about 30 (with a family and less time) that I started to care more about lower intensity and consistency.
I say all of this because I appreciate this conversation, which applies to all of us. For us who have consistently worked out, considering consistency and technique helps us not sustain many injuries so we can keep doing what we love.
    Thanks for these videos.

Mindpump is the best Fitness show on youtube/apple/spotify… and whatever else they’re on. I thought I was a “hardgainer” until listening to them. One year later i’m up 20 pounds and put massive strength gains on!

Hey guys, a quick knife plunge through the lobster (between head and body) puts it to death just prior to the boiling water. More humane and many chefs have gone to this method. I saw it demonstrated by Gordon Ramsey on Master Chef.

I have been dying for a low monthly cost for some workouts. So glad you guys have this! I’m a busy dad on a budget that only has time after 9:30pm to workout. I’ve been trying for consistency, I’m just so tired by that time it’s hard to think about which workouts to do! This’ll be very helpful to just get something in on those hard days. The bands workout would be so helpful too.

I love this. I have had a few days where I can’t make it to the gym or we do go and have to adjust our workout routine based on availability and time but my wife has become so much more active because of my consistency and we have both lost over 20lbs and are stronger. Just showing up with the right attitude and perspective is 80% of the work!

I'm a new listener. Fitness has always been my passion second only to my family. I love getting new knowledge and opinions from the show. I coach and am open to all sorts of approaches to lifting and meeting fitness goals. After listening to the show today I am definitely considering the band training for awhile. I'm my own favorite guinea pig and I have a ton of injuries so I think it would benefit me in every aspect. Thanks for the content, knowledge, and footwork you guys do to get me educated and motivated!

I'm pretty sure a lot of bands prior to the '80s benefited from being attractive. Heck, Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin was widely considered attractive. 😂
Also, I just built a bunch of strength without building a lot of muscle. I do a decent amount of weight lifting, but probably 70% of my exercises are calisthenic (albeit, often weighted or semi-advanced). I just ran through a program I'm writing and in a month bumped my bench from 170 to 195 and row from 170 to 200 (nothing crazy, but I'm a light 135).
I'm trying to maintain my weight and not get heavier, so I was really happy with my results. Unfortunately, I had to take a two-week break, but I'm about to jump back into it. No injuries and feeling great. :)
