This is where my lack of knowledge truly shines as no matter what they are actually called, to me they are just big trumpets and small trumpets, and i am satisfied with it.
I just want to point two things out 1) Beelz has shown me what half of the inscriptions that I never touch do when maxed out throughout all his Hard Mode videos and it’s funny to me 2) He could have gotten 4 Antique by changing his Arms Inscription at any of the shops after he got Priest’s Staff
Or just changed the Golden Incense for the Priest Staff, he would stay at 2 antique and 4 arms. I'm also sad that he didin't even consider Hand of Glory instead of the Golden Incense Burner.

I'm doing alright, but goddamn, that screaming moderator caught me off guard, then had me dying for a few minutes there! Ghoul was absolutely cruising through the remainder of this top-notch meme of a run when you got everything together, too! I swear, it's always when Ghoul's picked up that the game seems easy--especially in your hands here, Beelzebud. [Laughing] So much to try out in the future, and so many options for builds with the addition of Hard Mode! I don't think we'll be starved for sweet, sweet content due to that, but best of luck with the resets! As for you, person reading this, I'm wishing you the best out there as well! Dear Bleez, Ghoul's grey health disappears only if you don't take damage for a couple of seconds. You can get beaten up for 20 minutes without digesting your meat chunks and then regains everything at once, but if you take 50 damage and then retaliate and wait for 10 seconds, all that healing will be gone. This means that with your build, you can safely digest all chunks and then slowly regain all 30 from scratch because as long as you get hit to refresh the timer, your grey health won't go anywhere
@@Beelz55 ye, it was just that during the first phase of the hero fight you mentioned that you're about to lose your healing so you should digest the chunks even though. I got a bit confused by that :'D
@@sirghosty3429 Oh I see. Funny thing is while I COULD wait to consume chunks and sit on 30 the whole fight, I wanted to try and abuse Piety a bit. So I had to get hit a bit, so I could heal, adn gain Piety dmg. I don't think I benefited from the dmg boost too much (helps the cloud though) but the bonus healing was nice.
You do not understand the glee I felt when I heard "Bassoon" since nobody ever recognizes or cares for my instrument. I mean, besides the fact that a sousaphone is NOT a bassoon and that you can't even march bassoon :(
@17:20 Skul/Bomber/Slime with Go-Getter and item spam any time I find the Mage's signature legendary is my go-to fun build right now. Suuper fun and strong especially with the right Bomber skills. As for a build I can force Pike with the swap-dash build is always reliable. New favorite strat with all the mirror buffs (mostly the DM8 one) is to skip item rooms entirely and go straight for money and bone rooms. I initially did it as a "silly challenge" for myself but it turned out to be very viable. I could play super flexibly early and always have a ton of gold to roll, lock inscriptions and buy skull jars for bones. I get 1/3 treasure items and lock in the inscription, then play around whatever build-defining item or skull I find. Back to watching the run, I'll probably edit later with more thoughts 😄
Haha knew I wasn't the only one. Could have swapped to Antique for crazy amounts of effective health with the way Ghoul heals back up, or even Mana Cycle for faster chunks. Silly Beelz. I think he ignored Hand of Glory on purpose though for that crucial, what, 35 HP? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But yeah, this run was awesome and practically unkillable already lol

It's a percentile increase So the more base HP you get the crazier the scaling get's. 35 or 25 Hp is more so equivalent to sixty maybe even a hundred health now. To put it into further perspective... Golden incense is worth more than a legendary quint. and quarts is 5 less than a legendary quint now I believe? and also has antique? Also the hero at nine is such a god danm beefcake that forgoing any tankyness is a mistake. Defense is how you win now, not offense. 600% damage is fine for getting through the fight so long as you can take the hits. I agree with ignoring hand of glory with what he was going for in this build. it does have antique aswell. Even purified quarts felt like it was worth keeping. Beels was building in a way where getting hit gave you damage with revenge four. Antique four would have been good, and given him more effective HP but honestly his collective item choice was fairly spot on IMO. The only dubious choice would have been heart of the aesthetic as that halves you're total HP so even if you get a cray high total, you'll probably end up with less HP than what you started with now.
@@BigKillaJoke Heart of the Ascetic is good on builds not for keeping health as high as possible, but for keeping powerful effects that require missing health triggered when you're effectively at full, and scaling things like the Priest's Staff and Relic inscription, and health regained from chunks, very well. That item in particular get underestimated by many people, when its potency comes from more than just raw HP. Treating it as a negative at higher health values. And in all honesty he had waaay more health than he needed for the last boss given the amount of *_health regeneration_* he had. Even going down to

I know for a fact what the instrument is. The developers are very very smart and they added an instrument that doesn't actually make any real sound, but instead sends out a sonic wave to hurt Skul boi. Therefore it is not actually any instrument in the real world. It is in fact a Tromtubasusabone in the Skul Universe and it's the most deadly instrument there ever was.
The reason why Dad was screaming that whole fight was due to how angry & confused he was that a fat kid was beating him up by focusing on eating scraps on the ground rather than fighting.....

The Frieza enemy's projectile attack acts like real projectiles (like the basic crossbow guy). They will hit walls, floors and ceilings and stop so it's kinda easy to dodge. Sometimes you don't even have to dodge at all. It's weird at first because most enemy porjectiles in Skul don't act like that.
Hey Beelz, watch out for that brutal looking move that the first hero used at the end of the fight. It did 56 damage, but your reckless posture and Power skull defense should have been cutting the damage by 50% and 20 % at the time. That suggests that the attack would normally do somewhere between 140-180 damage!
Collection Desire is just raw power, no fancy mechanics but it does give a massive boost early game if you've just gotten utility items rather than big smash items.
I have nowhere else to say this and people will understand. I had a masterpiece clone stamp run where slime doubled it. I essentialy had 4 of every inscription. It was heavenly.
Beelz, Reckless Posture doesn't work by 'stacking', you don't need to get hit 5 times to get the full benefit, you get the 50% damage reduction and 100% magic/phys by just getting hit once.
Ok so I feel like I should put this out there, but the wording for reckless posture doesn't seem to suggest that it stacks 5 times, it's just that the effect increases to 5x the potency upon getting hit.
My go-to build right now is Shield Boy with fortress and a lot of shield, he's an SS tier in Hard Mode, his passive amplifying damage is now so much stronger now that you can get a lot more shields.
Has there been any word on when the update will come out? I'm sure they will need time to work feedback into the beta, but it's hard waiting to test all of this new stuff out

Hey Beelz, I might be down with the big Covidowiz, but your videos makes it somewhat sufferable. I would love to see a guide on each of the 'Dark Abilities', oh, and a hunter run with one of the new cursed items. Keep up the good work my dude.
My invincible run I want to try out when hard mode comes out on consoles is warrior with Carleon Armor, Pauldrons, Symbol of Toughness, The Breastplate and the two axes for sure. For the Dark Quartz hearts I would get the shield on each map and the bonus to damage when you have a shield plus the item damage amp. If the breastplate works like the symbol of toughness and you get the effect but don't lose the shield when attacking while charged you would be unstoppable. Make it even better with putting bones towards attack speed and you would have almost instant second level skill charges. Just as safe or even safer than a pike or shield run. The only hard part would be early on.
The little guys instrument could be a bunch of different things. However my best bet is that it’s a marching French horn. It’s too beefy to be a trumpet and it’s too small to be a tuba (and the big guys use a sousaphone anyway) so best bet is a marching French horn
I feel like warrior could be huge in hard mode. Extremely safe skull once you get em upgraded, and very easy to build. And, as always, a blast to play.
one build that i'd love to see you try is samurai with skill amp dark abilities and try to get RIDICULOUS moonlight slash damage. I'm not sure how the Soul Strike dark ability works with multi-hitting skills, if it only amps the first hit or all the hits in the skill, but the wording makes it feel like it works best with single hit abilities
1:16:28 Ghoul doesn't get damage increase, but instead he gets phys dmg amp per chunk. so its much more compared to just flat phys inc%, Also you had way more phys damage.(your hope slashers wasn't stacked and you didn't have any meat) :)
An idea for the, as a certain blue dwarf would call it, "F-ing Gratitude": You still get the shield but if you manage to take that shield through certain amount of rooms, based on how much is left over you get max HP Just an idea o7

Yeah, I was intentionally getting hit in a few spots here to maintain grey life. Notably against Joan and Hero fight.

I have been in band and marching band. The small guys carry either a mellophone or a Bugle Horn. The big guys have a Sousaphone.
Sousaphone is the only one that has somewhat consistently been said. Mellophone might be new lol
Beelz, Reckless Posture doesn't work by 'stacking', you don't need to get hit 5 times to get the full benefit, you get the 50% damage reduction and 100% magic/phys by just getting hit once.

Ok so I feel like I should put this out there, but the wording for reckless posture doesn't seem to suggest that it stacks 5 times, it's just that the effect increases to 5x the potency upon getting hit.
4:39 you need to say it with more voice, like this- BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
My go-to build right now is Shield Boy with fortress and a lot of shield, he's an SS tier in Hard Mode, his passive amplifying damage is now so much stronger now that you can get a lot more shields.

Hey Beelz, I might be down with the big Covidowiz, but your videos makes it somewhat sufferable. I would love to see a guide on each of the 'Dark Abilities', oh, and a hunter run with one of the new cursed items. Keep up the good work my dude.
My invincible run I want to try out when hard mode comes out on consoles is warrior with Carleon Armor, Pauldrons, Symbol of Toughness, The Breastplate and the two axes for sure. For the Dark Quartz hearts I would get the shield on each map and the bonus to damage when you have a shield plus the item damage amp. If the breastplate works like the symbol of toughness and you get the effect but don't lose the shield when attacking while charged you would be unstoppable. Make it even better with putting bones towards attack speed and you would have almost instant second level skill charges. Just as safe or even safer than a pike or shield run. The only hard part would be early on.

The little guys instrument could be a bunch of different things. However my best bet is that it’s a marching French horn. It’s too beefy to be a trumpet and it’s too small to be a tuba (and the big guys use a sousaphone anyway) so best bet is a marching French horn
I feel like warrior could be huge in hard mode. Extremely safe skull once you get em upgraded, and very easy to build. And, as always, a blast to play.
one build that i'd love to see you try is samurai with skill amp dark abilities and try to get RIDICULOUS moonlight slash damage. I'm not sure how the Soul Strike dark ability works with multi-hitting skills, if it only amps the first hit or all the hits in the skill, but the wording makes it feel like it works best with single hit abilities

Also you had way more phys damage.(your hope slashers wasn't stacked and you didn't have any meat) :)

You still get the shield but if you manage to take that shield through certain amount of rooms, based on how much is left over you get max HP
