scott's a good dude but, holy Christ.. Can we pick it up a lil??Move it along. go for a ride.. chirp a gear? I knodded out twice.. C'mon man..this should be exciting stuff! God Bless
Very sharp BEE and sounds great. My friend in Germany back in the early 70's had one Yellow/Black 383/4 sp and I had a 69 GTX Sunfire Yellow conv. 440/4sp. we use to have a ball with the no speed limits on the Autobahn.
Wow! Great car. The '69 Super Bee is one of the best looking muscle cars. The guy did a nice job restoring it. Thanks for showing it my friend. Semper Fi!
I have watched this video a number of times, before I met ScottieD at 2015 Cruisin the Coast in my featured yellow and black 70 440 6 bbl Roadrunner. Awesome Super Bee!! And ScottieD is an awesome guy!
What a beautiful '69 Super Bee with the legendary 440 Six Pack! Yellow and black is the perfect color combo for a Super Bee too! Thanks ScottieDTV for posting this for all the loyal Mopar maniacs like myself! lol =D
" what do you think your next one will be ?? " " I dont know....definitely a MOPAR " ....smart man lol. Man this is a very sharp super bee . That color combo with the blk vynl top look great. The wheels set it off I love this car. Sounds awsome too...thanks for sharing this one..I enjoyed it alot .
Now THAT'S what a Super Bee should be! Colors, wheels, perfect balance of big and littles, perfect stance, best year, best engine package....... Absolutely wonderful car, nice job!
This fella has great taste and knocked it out of the park. Mopar factory hot rod done perfectly. Great interview Scottie, really enjoyed this - thanks!
That is one gorgeous 69 Super Bee the guy did a wonderful job restoring it, and I love the noise these cars make, today's cars are so silent and dull souding. Thanks for showing these muscle!!!
the rumble of a 440 six pack motor is something that will always give me chills. i just love that sound too much. i gotta have one of those at some point in my life.
Scottie your video has turned me into a Mopar fan. I love the yellow on this car and the amazing history behind Mopar. I went to a car show earlier this year and saw a 440 Cuda that was orange. Wish I would have filmed it. /: Oh well I'll catch some cool cars when ever I can go to a show. I should be going to a big one this October.
That car is just stunning. Perfect colour combination. Had a 69 Coronet R/T for a while in the late 80's. 440, 727. It was Burnt Orange, and I hated that colour. I wish I kept it. It was pretty much stock other than headers, and a double pumper. Man would it go through gas.
A double pumper on the streets with a automatic transmission and you wonder why it sucked gas so much? Ever wonder why Dodge , Plymouth, Chrysler never put Holley double pumpers on their cars in stock form other that no title available strip only cars?
There should be head rests on this car. All A12 M-code '69 Super Bees had headrests because they were federally mandated before 440 Six Pack production began. I absolutely LOVE the color on this car. It is PERFECT! My dream car right there. I like the Keystone Klassics too but personally I prefer the black steel wheels.
reminds me of my 70 superbee i bought in '87 yellow, blk top & int with torque thrust 14" in front & 15" in the rear. Paid 1700$ Running & driving nicely no project.
You made my day Scotti. I prefer the 68 because it was the first year for that body style. But I can appreciate a 69 as well. As for the emblems on the doors and roof. Those were a Dodge symbol. My 68 Coronet 440 had them as well. They do have a meaning but I don't recall it. Good find brother.
The A12 Superbee and roadrunner are my favorite mopars. They were built just for test and tune and the track hence the lift off hood. The 440 six pack A12 cars were faster than the hemi cars!!!
Hey Scottie i love this car he did a super job ! Scottie i would like for you to video my car when its done. I have a 1970 GTX pro touring being built with a all aluminum 572 Hemi 6 Pack .
The A12 cars came with black steel wheels and chrome lug nuts. No center caps nothing you can see the grease caps were center caps would bee. Badass shit back in those days!
One of the best cars I've ever seen was a triple black 68 hemi charger all original with 27,000 miles unrestored. Black car interior and black vinyl roof. A woman owned it to boot, what a mint unrestored car and this was back before all these baby boomer cars became really expensive.
Nice car. What's the difference between a Dodge Super Bee and a Plymouth Belvedere, Road Runner, GTX? Is it roughly the same body with different trim like grill, bumpers, tail lights...?
saw almost the same car in my hometown but the hood was different - it was the metal flat hood and it was painted yellow like the rest of the car. But the one i saw also had a vinyl roof. Also diffrent were the exhaust end caps, they were just round, no chome. And the steering wheel was a three spoke black one. But the rest was like on this car, colour, interior, decals, finish - all the same exept the rims, they were diffrent too! Not sure but could it have been the 68 Model cause of the metal hood?
My dad traded in a 68 Roadrunner the minute he saw the 1969 A12 Super Bee. Omaha Orange, black vinyl roof. in 2001 he found the original purchase order in some old paperwork. it showed he paid 3590.00 for it new with the trade in. i still have a picture of it hanging on the wall.
Awesome car..when I was younger my friend had one..black on black 383..4speed it was to much car for him with in a month he had both quarter panels smashed in I tried to buy it before that happened cause I even said to him you won't be able to handle this car he got mad at me...broke my heart to see it wrecked
+68Barracuda11s the Fratzog was used from 1962-1976 symbolizing 3 Delta rockets. this had to do with Dodge's reliability and sending a rocket to the moon. It was the official logo for Dodge at that time. Your insinuating that it was a different thing is incorrect. Get it right!
Need to put a large lobe cam in the high 500 - low 600 lift. A Cam is what makes a motor come alive have the Beethoven rhythm. My saying is “ MOPAR or NO CAR” I had a 1973 Dodge Challenger with a 360 c.i.d. And I had a 1969 ROADRUNNER with a 383 big block and a 4 speed manual transmission. So much freaking fun to drive I took it down to South Beach,Miami for help with Hurricane Andrew. And the day I was heading home to jacksonville, a lady judge ran a stop sign at 45 miles per hour and totaled the entire front of my Roadrunner so much kinetic energy was produced that it blew out all the windows in her car and she had a Cadillac I wish I can put pictures on this TH-cam page to show people what a Cadillac can do to69 roadrunner. I want to find some more Mopar‘s I’ve been in hot rods all my life used to drag race at pecan park in Jacksonville in the 80s now I’m stuck buying Corvettes I want to find someMopars I want to find a 70 or 1971 Cuda . My dream car I don’t care what condition it’s in I can redo it all I just want one thanks for reading enjoy your day
First and foremost you have a beautiful Super Bee, which led me to the post section and a real ignorant troll. If you scroll down you will find the troll and his "list" which is incorrect. The "list" lists sports cars as muscle cars (first two on list) and then goes on to call engines by incorrect names, for instance 440 Six Barrels as 440 Six Packs. The troll calls 440's "Hemi's" and doesn't know his behind from a hole in the ground. Beware of the troll. Remember, "You can't fix stupid" so don't waste your time. Mopar lovers know what brand is King...Because they own them!
respect to that dude, restoring junk into beauty.
scott's a good dude but, holy Christ..

The flat black hood on the old cars was to eliminate sunlight glare and reflections in the driver's eyes.
Right on....

They had better street manners than the Hemi too
@@jeremythompson9122 The 440-6 only puts out 325 hp Jerry...LOL
That symbol you were asking about, that's the old Dodge emblem and they call it a fratzog, the super bee emblem is of course the bee. Your welcome!
Awesome Bee! Kind of a Day two type build, as many more base cars, were often upfitted with the more rare cars parts. Didn't have it, build it.

Sorry to hear that...
Thank you, were you referring to Russellville, Alabama?
Where were you at when you shot this video? What school is that?
Nice job!!)
Glad you enjoyed it!
That is a Dodge emblem on the door panel and the C pillar. It was on all Dodge cars of that era.
+Steve Hultman Not sure.....sorry
