@@ABD-vk9hw No. I have only the accounts of a man who worked in a railroad backshop where locomotive boilers were repaired. He could not hear very much anymore
The paddle steamer Waverley has had two sets of Cochrane boilers, that's 4 in total. The first pair lasted 19 years and were replaced this year with another pair after an amazing fund raising effort. They drive a triple expansion steam engine rated at 175 psi and 2100 HP. They need to cope with sudden steam demand required for manouvering and acceleration at piers. Manouvering also means abrupt stop start and change of engine room commands. These requirements were once part and parcel of day to day running of competing fleets that once numbered some 40 steamers on the Clyde, where there were few roads and many coastal villages close together with short stressful hops between piers normally taken racing and fending off the competition. The goto boiler pre WW1 was the Haystack boiler, with rapid steam generation, and good for 50 psi on a single cylinder, although other boilers were in use, especially when compounding and steam turbines came in. Things are different now, but the demands on her boilers are still pretty stressful. The Cochrane boilers did pretty well.
Dad (Norman Dodd) worked for Cochrans for many years, and even did some time in the R&D department. I visited the works in the 1980s when they were building coal fired boilers. Not much difference to the film.

In which country is this factory? I trained with someone who looked like this factory in Iraq.
How to make one to one and a half meter boilers and what they are used for. Can they be used for work like cloth iron
Aside from occasional hammering, there's surprisingly little noise for the interior of a boiler factory.
😂😂😂😂 have you been to one?
