The Echelon is a great shooting gun even without a comp. It has a low bore axis and a decent trigger out of the box. So i can only imagine how much better the pro-x would be. Im in a tough choice right now. Im also a 320 guy. But, the echelon and pdp pro-x are soooooo enticing
Im glad your SS guns are all working well. I was going to buy one a few years ago when they were still fairlly newly introduced to the market. Our local range had a fleet of them for rental and stopped renting them out due to massive durability issues (cracked slide parts was the complaint I'd heard the most). They rented almost every major brand and model on the market, and the SS was the major brand they said gave them by and far the most trouble. I'm seeing and hearing more and more that the SS guns seem to be good to go now, and that comp'd version looks really tempting. That makes me think they may have just had a few batches with metallurgy issies, but now they're pretty squared away.
Our first one was MR920 Elite purchased in 2020. I’m glad you watched and if you try another one some day I hope it goes well for you! I understand where you are coming from and we have been there with other brands.
Great video as always! I carry every single day my Walther Pro SDcompact, way up to 1k with the ZR tactical 15lb spring and guide rode, Herrington Arms comp, Holosun SCS and TLR-7x, and I absolutely love it, not the most comfortable to carry appendix but you get used to it. For those who could be interested, Bass Pro Shops have them on sale right now for 650 and you don’t have to pay FFL transfer, also Walther currently have a rebate where you get a free $350 value red dote, so basically you can have it with the optic for 650 plus taxes, hard to pass.
Just by the eye test, the SS looks the flattest, then the Echelon and PDP seemed tied. I have a PDP comped based off your videos which is my favorite and a RamJet on my MR920 my second. Great video and might try out that SIG and Echelon here shortly.
I’m itching for that XR920. I’m a Glock guy and have several OEM mags. It’s either getting a Ramjet Afterburner on a G45 or the XR920. But then again can’t go wrong with the MP’s , have a lot of them mags too. Great video 👍🏻🇺🇸
@@Mako-sz4qr I was debating getting a G45 with ramjet as well but decided to just get the xr920p instead of modding a Glock myself. I had so many issues with my tti combat I didn't wanna deal with tinkering with another gun. I do not regret getting the XR at all!
Love the vid! I've been waiting for this from you and also hoping to see a continuation vid of the small comped carry (micro) options out there including the 365 w/radian afterburner vs cr920xp vs s&w shield plus carry comp vs Hellcat Pro etc...
@@HuntFishShootChannel checked out their website last night. Definitely going to grab one over the weekend. Never heard much about them until seeing your video. Immediately watched reviews and liking what I’m seeing so far.
I’m shooting the Dusk19r right now from lone wolf and Rainer arms and absolutely love it. I have a 19x with radiant, 34.5 CO pistol, MR920 elite with agency comp, and some others. I really like the LWA, SS/Glock in that order which blew me away. The walthers, S&W, Sigs, and Canik TTI are good but I’m not as impressed as I am with the aforementioned platforms.
That’s a great combo but keep in mind you have to buy a Glock and build that. You don’t buy it from the manufacturer stock like that, as you do with these.
I have several Glocks with the ramjet, including a G45. I also have the 320 AXG Legion. I’ve shot them back to back multiple times to try to compare. I would say that the 320 shoots way smoother but the Glock with Ramjet compensates technically very slightly faster and more effectively. It’s almost impossible to notice because it feels “snappier.” Zero doubt the Sig is more pleasant to shoot and the recoil impulse is superior, however maybe a few milliseconds better return to zero on the Glock. Almost imperceptible but that’s where I landed on my assessment. I have an Agency slide with Ramjet and Agency trigger. Tons of money tied up into that Glock. And the Sig is for sure more pleasant out of the box. Stock vs stock no doubt I’m choosing the 320.
Good video, I'm an M&P supporter since the first gen but have to agree about the Sig P320, had the full size and it was very easy to shoot and accurate as well. Regret selling it.
I’ve been pretty anti-Sig and anti-320 especially for many years. I eventually bought the AXG Legion and it’s absolutely one of my favorite pistols now, possibly even my favorite overall to shoot. I’d like to run more diverse ammo in it and see if it’s still reliable, but I haven’t had a malfunction yet. It’s smooth as butter.
The Walther PDP compact you can pick up for 5 bills right now and it arguably has the best trigger out of that whole line up and striker fired pistols in general. Walther all day after owning both the PPQ and PDP compact!
Dropping a like and commenting for the algorithms….not a big fan of comps, they do exactly the opposite of what I need my tool to do. So, I suppress, however, I did get a super deal on another threaded barrel for my g45 that I dedicated for a pmm “duty” comp. And it did exactly what they do….blew flames straight up and made an extremely loud bang! But, kept the nose on my cannon down for quick follow ups. But again, I kept my other threaded for the suppressor. Which does what I like it to do and makes it super quiet with zero flash.
great review ! i love the pdp but i know that there are softer shooting guns , the pdp has a stronger striker spring than glock so it has a stiffer recoil spring to help it return into battery , so the glock feels like it recoils less , this was a fantastic review ,love this kind of content.
Got the tti and i love that gun but had so many issues. Since May, they are finally sending me a replacement so i hope i have better luck this time. Got the XR920P in August, love that gun as well.
Great video. The trigger was my least favorite part about the Echelon. Liked everything else about it but couldn't stand the trigger reset, felt weak and a bit lackluster to me.
Not sure if you've messed with it yet, but I feel like you'd fall in love with the FDEZ Fuse slide, barrel, and recoil assembly. Match it with an Icarus XXL grip module, Mischief Machine XXL grip module, or a Shalotec XXL frame.
Thanks for the comparison. Very informative. Guess im going to have to try out the shadow systems. I would like to know how it compares to a glock 17 with a radian comp. Also would like to know how the sig p320 axg legion compares to the spectre comp. Maybe an idea for another video?
@@HuntFishShootChannel I love it man, I honestly have never been a fan of Sig at all, but I needed something that was large enough for my hands, and able to be ran fast for competitions so I landed on the 320 axg. I'm very happy with it so far!
Got my shadow systems CR920XP last week, as someone who was a die hard Glock fan I doubt I’ll ever buy another one. They do everything better out of the box!
I only see 3 comp’d guns in this video… 2 ported, and the SiG just has windows cut in the slide that do literally nothing because the barrel ends well short of those cuts. Glad to see the Echelon perform as well as it does, the way the optics mount is so cool on that gun it makes you wonder why nobody else does it that way. What you said at the end is something people need to get their head around. What works for you may not work for me, and that’s ok. Find what works! 👍🏻
Well technically speaking only two of the guns have a compensator. Even the TTI combat has ports cut in the barrel. The AXG Slide is very effective and to say it does nothing only tells me you have not shot one nor the X Macro. Thank you for watching and we appreciate the input!
At first i thought PDP was a bit snappy. After putting a little over 1k rounds through it i dont notice it and i dont find comps necessary at this point. PDP Pro just gets back on target.
Comps are never necessary in any sense they do make pistols shoot much flatter. The PDP isn’t snappy but it’s not the softest or flattest shooting. Great pistol tho. I love the PDP!!!

@theodoros1126 I don’t have any issues with 115 in the XR920P, Echelon Comp or Smith and Wesson either. 147s are good in all. The AXG Legion doesn’t like junk 115 rounds like Winchester but Federal and the foreign brands are good to go

I have a related question. Since they are essentially the same size, Is there a noticeable difference with the XR-P shooting flatter than the DR non-comped pistol? Appreciate your videos as always!
We have found ejection and uniformity has more to do with ammo choice or different extractor tension. The Sig is actually the most ammo picky of the bunch
Good comparison, but obviously subjective. I’m not a fan of the P320, PDP or anything Canik. The M&Ps are decent, but are never the total package. The Shadow Systems interests me the most out of the group. I’ve owned many of these 9mm pistols in multiple configurations, but are just not my cup of tea. You’re absolutely right about trying different pistols and buy what makes you happy! I’m spoiled by high quality, metal-framed options like the Beretta 92 LTT, Sig P226 Legion and the CZ Shadow 2.
An MR920P and Echelon are on my wish list ..... but i wonder if Glock will bring back the C models cuz of everyone else coming out with comp guns ... i would love to have a G23c mos or even if Radian came out with there afterburner set up for G23 id buy that

So i can only imagine how much better the pro-x would be. Im in a tough choice right now. Im also a 320 guy. But, the echelon and pdp pro-x are soooooo enticing
Thanks
Where can you get a legion comp slide for 400? Like you said
They were just on sale off sigs website!
I put a ZR Tactical guide rod and spring in my PDP as well and it made a night n day difference!
@tip9 You need to try it comp, in my experience that’s the real game changer. Herrington has the “blem” available again for 69. That thing is dope!
@ oh man thanks! I’m gonna have to grab me one!
Just grabbed mine from bps yesterday! Filled the rebate form out last night
How’s the red dot holding up? Heard some mixed reviews about C&H optics
Just by the eye test, the SS looks the flattest, then the Echelon and PDP seemed tied. I have a PDP comped based off your videos which is my favorite and a RamJet on my MR920 my second. Great video and might try out that SIG and Echelon here shortly.
Thank you! Either choice would be great for you!
Thank you! The XR920P is an awesome pistol.
Love the vid! I've been waiting for this from you and also hoping to see a continuation vid of the small comped carry (micro) options out there including the 365 w/radian afterburner vs cr920xp vs s&w shield plus carry comp vs Hellcat Pro etc...
We likely will not have time to make that video or update at the moment
I love my canik tti combat master but you’ve definitely got me wanting to pick up a shadow systems now as well
Great idea!
@@HuntFishShootChannel checked out their website last night. Definitely going to grab one over the weekend. Never heard much about them until seeing your video. Immediately watched reviews and liking what I’m seeing so far.
@Vladek2265 that is great!
yea after i got my MR Elite for 700 i love it and really looking forward to replacing my carry M&P shield to the CR 920p I am sold on Shadow systems
Awesome!
I bet that’s a nice pistol!
I own the Echelon and the Echelon Comp, they are both becoming my favorite sidearms.
That sounds great!
Would love to see your opinion on how these compare to a G45 with a radian ramjet/afterburner
Great vid! All great pistols. Just threw the Apex trigger in my metal comp carry. WOW! What an amazing flat shooter.
Awesome!
Great video. Just got the tti combat and was looking at getting the echelon comp for my next purchase.
Get the echelon comp!
Got my Echelon Comp for $600. Love the SS pistols, but price matters and I’m just a little cheap. Hahahaha Keep up the great work, brother!
It does matter for sure! That’s a great deal and well worth it!
Yep Grab a Gun has them on sale for that price.
Good video, I'm an M&P supporter since the first gen but have to agree about the Sig P320, had the full size and it was very easy to shoot and accurate as well. Regret selling it.
Thank you!
Awesome!
The AXG Legion is one of my favorites, too.
The Walther PDP compact you can pick up for 5 bills right now and it arguably has the best trigger out of that whole line up and striker fired pistols in general. Walther all day after owning both the PPQ and PDP compact!
Great pistols for sure!
PDP is the one for me!
Pdp is a solid piece. The trigger out of the box is amazing
Thanks for watching and the input!
Having shot all of them except the Echelon, I have the P320 FIRMLY at the top of my list. Especially with its original aluminum grip module.
The AXG Legion is awesome!
Can you not find different/better plates for the M&P? Was thinking about getting one, but that could be a game changer.
There are better plates from C and H or the Dogtag plate
@HuntFishShootChannel thx bro
great review ! i love the pdp but i know that there are softer shooting guns , the pdp has a stronger striker spring than glock so it has a stiffer recoil spring to help it return into battery , so the glock feels like it recoils less , this was a fantastic review ,love this kind of content.
You are correct! Thanks for sharing! we like making videos like this they are just very time consuming on our part 💪
Got the tti and i love that gun but had so many issues. Since May, they are finally sending me a replacement so i hope i have better luck this time. Got the XR920P in August, love that gun as well.
Good to know! Thanks for sharing!
Great video. The trigger was my least favorite part about the Echelon. Liked everything else about it but couldn't stand the trigger reset, felt weak and a bit lackluster to me.
I don’t notice the reset when I shoot due to an inflight reset but thanks for watching!
Just scooped the echelon yesterday!
Awesome!
Not sure if you've messed with it yet, but I feel like you'd fall in love with the FDEZ Fuse slide, barrel, and recoil assembly. Match it with an Icarus XXL grip module, Mischief Machine XXL grip module, or a Shalotec XXL frame.
Very cool vid. Any experience with the Zev OZ9 or Zev hypercomp? If yes, flatter than XR920P?
I am not unfortunately I would like to be though!
Thanks for the comparison. Very informative. Guess im going to have to try out the shadow systems. I would like to know how it compares to a glock 17 with a radian comp. Also would like to know how the sig p320 axg legion compares to the spectre comp. Maybe an idea for another video?
Good idea! Thanks for watching!
Just bought a p320 axg legion today. Shoots like butter!
Isn’t it great?!
@@HuntFishShootChannel I love it man, I honestly have never been a fan of Sig at all, but I needed something that was large enough for my hands, and able to be ran fast for competitions so I landed on the 320 axg. I'm very happy with it so far!
@jacobcalvarese9995 awesome!
Got my shadow systems CR920XP last week, as someone who was a die hard Glock fan I doubt I’ll ever buy another one. They do everything better out of the box!
Hell yeah! That’s great to hear!
Next purchase will the the XR920P!
Only issue with the Echelon…slide stop/slide release needs an aftermarket alternative option. Other than that it’s basically perfect.
Hello, what is the exact name of your shadow systems in this video? (I'm not english and I struggle to understand everything you said.) Thank you man
Shadow Systems XR920P
Shadow Systems XR920P
@@HuntFishShootChannel thank you
Great video! Could you please do a similar video comparing the shadow comp models in the near future The cr920p cr920xp mr920p xr920p and dr920p
The issue with those is they are all so different and have different purposes but I appreciate the input!
I actually have a sig axg frame with an Arc division reactor comped slide and barrel and it's crazy soft shooting. But I want a SS xr920p so bad.
It’s a dream to shoot!
Love the video! ❤
How do all of those compare for someone with small hands?
Best one for smaller hands would the the Smith and Wesson, then echelon or Shadow.
@@HuntFishShootChannel Thanks! I appreciate all the hard work you put into this video 📹
@jonathanwilliams7161 much appreciated!
That m&p looked really flat when you shot it. I love mine, and could tell a big difference from that to my other m&p 2.0's.
It’s the best version of the M&P so far! We all love it!
Would you trust shadow systems with your life? Also, would you use it on duty? If you could.
100 percent. My EDC is a CR920XP
My new edc and ran over 1k rounds and no problems
I only see 3 comp’d guns in this video…
2 ported, and the SiG just has windows cut in the slide that do literally nothing because the barrel ends well short of those cuts.
@@HuntFishShootChannel I did not realize that as I haven’t looked into the TTI deeply. Great video, thanks for all the info!
Love my Shadow Systems XR920P ELITE Jeremy at Pro Armanent sold me
In Cuyahoga Falls?! We go there all the time 💪
At first i thought PDP was a bit snappy.
Is DR920P completely shadowed by XR920P?
Not quite but I do prefer the XR920P
Great review! Any thoughts about the Prodigy comp 4.25”?
Great pistol, seems like a winner!
@@HuntFishShootChannel Thank you for your quick reply! I think that you have made me a Shadow System fanboy🤦🏼♂️, I do hate Glocks but I think I am going to give SS a chance and order either the XR Or the MR. Also, you are the most underrated guy in this channel! I don’t understand how come you only have 60K followers…I am following you for years and I enjoy each and every video you post. Thank you for your hard work and effort!
@OBZ74 we get throttled by the platform and can see it in stats and metrics so we will keep grinding! Thanks for the support man!
@@HuntFishShootChannel My friend, I’m on the fence between the MR vs. The XR. I do prefer the XR because it full dust cover but I saw some negative reviews on it 😳, I would appreciate your input and feedback on this 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@OBZ74 well do you want to EDC or range gun? They can both do it but the the MR920P is better for both but the XR920P shoots slightly flatter and has more capacity with the full size grip.
I have PMM comps on everything they make a comp for. You really can tell a difference between the manufacturers even though the comp is basicallythe same design. I need to test more to name a top 3 but all benefit to some extent by having a comp.
For sure!
Hats off Mr, you did a fantastic job. Thank you.
Thank you!
Question: do you think adding an optics would add weight to the slide making it feel more snappy?
No I think it makes no difference whatsoever
Great video. I just got my TTi combat for $800.
Thank you and good deal!
How about the FN 509 edge pistols? Too expensive for this comparison??
We don't have one yet
Because of the aftermarket with the PDPs now, that’d be my first pick but I’m bias. Followed by shadow systems
💪💪💪
Thanks for this extensive comparison
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
Going to be a great comparison video, notification on.
@@gandtoley sure is!
What is the practical difference between a ported gun and a comped one?
Very dependent on design of the comp or port. Generally a comp is an additional piece on the barrel, whether threaded or lugged.
What grain bullets where you using on this test brother ?
124 Grain Sellior and Bellot!
@HuntFishShootChannel οκ I get them in my country as well . They are a bit spicy but you want spicy for the comp to work . I run 124 Limit ( 127 power factor with 125 minimum for competition ) so both my cz run smooth and flat ...thanks for the reply
@theodoros1126 I don’t have any issues with 115 in the XR920P, Echelon Comp or Smith and Wesson either. 147s are good in all. The AXG Legion doesn’t like junk 115 rounds like Winchester but Federal and the foreign brands are good to go
@@HuntFishShootChannel ok being completely off topic but because I love your work/opinion I would like to ask if you could post a video presenting my AR ...not mine but the same model . I have a HK 416 variant the Haenel CR 223 short piston stroke . I believe B&T imported it as a BT-15
If you ever get the chance try it . I would love to hear your opinion . If I lived in the US I would lend you mine for a test . I use it for competition ipsc rifle and 3 gun ( I have passed 8000 rounds with 0 issues and I am using a precision armament hypertap and a kynshot hydraulic buffer ...what a difference )
Alright shadow systems it is! Have you done a comparison of the cr vs xr? I cant seem to find it if so. If not what are your thoughts?
MR920p will be your best friend a little longer than the cr but it's ACCURATE!
No we have not but the CR920XP is the softest and best shooting gun in it’s category
@@HuntFishShootChannel you da man - thanks!
Just picked up a Carry Comp for $633. Can't wait to get it and run it through its paces.
Awesome!
Where ?!?
What is your holster set-up?
Holster is a Blackhawk Omnivore on a Wilder Tactical UBL with an HRT ARC belt with HRT pouches
Shadow systems MR920p is the most accurate and flattest shooting gun, returns to zero for follow up shots, chefs kiss
It’s a great shooting gun!
I bought the S&W comp carry (not full metal) for $599 and it shoots like a dream with minimal recoil for a 4 inch barrel. My favorite carry gun thats not a 2011
Awesome!
What’s flatter shooting, Xr920p or Dr920p?
I prefer the XR920P and how it shoots.
I have a related question. Since they are essentially the same size, Is there a noticeable difference with the XR-P shooting flatter than the DR non-comped pistol?
Appreciate your videos as always!
There is a significant difference, I would never choose a DR920 over an XR920P. It’s not even close, and if you go back a year, I love the DR920.
@@HuntFishShootChannel excellent, that’s helpful. I appreciate the reply. Take care!
I love my echelon. I put a compensator on it, and it shoots really well.
Awesome!
Is there any other comp guns that should consider here?
Maybe a Bul Armory Tomahawk but of course there could always be an outlier or you could swap in a Sig Spectre Comp
Looks to me that the Sig had the most consistent ejection pattern. Some believe this has a lot to do with reliability?? This was a great video.
We have found ejection and uniformity has more to do with ammo choice or different extractor tension. The Sig is actually the most ammo picky of the bunch
Aren't the Sig 320's still firing while being holstered?
Mine don’t do that, but I have proper training and know how to handle firearms while using the correct holster.
I hear you, but there have been instances of them going off completely holstered and hands nowhere near them
try the zev oz9 hypercomp if you ever come across one.
Hopefully soon!
I own a p320 (m17) and an echelon and I'm leaning to the echelon more and more everyday, the 320 was my first love and she isn't going anywhere!
You will enjoy the echelon!
@@HuntFishShootChannelhad it for a year now and bought a matching rilfe for it just gotta shoot more😂
Good comparison, but obviously subjective.
Those are all awesome options you mentioned!
An MR920P and Echelon are on my wish list ..... but i wonder if Glock will bring back the C models cuz of everyone else coming out with comp guns ... i would love to have a G23c mos or even if Radian came out with there afterburner set up for G23 id buy that
Doubt it 😂
