Will, your strength and goodness really come through! I was on 74th floor when second plane hit. Took much too long to get out. PTSD is very real, lived it and saw my staff deal with it. Thank you so much for sharing this unbelievable section of your life. We continue…and I thank God you are with us to give this account! John

Just realized the significance of the quote around the 1:10 mark…
“No day shall erase you from the memory of time.” If you switch the words around and say “No time shall erase you from the memory of that day,” I don’t believe it’d hold as much significance. None of us want to forget that day, but time holds all memories and will truly never forget. Such an impactful quote.

When i hear him describe the civility, the unity, and the compassion amidst the chaos I think; this was America in the 90's and early 00's. We are all just people. Race, religion, politics, nationality- DID NOT MATTER. What mattered was are you chill, nice, kind, friendly, do we have anything in common, can we learn anything from each other. All of the division along those same lines is being manufactured by news media, social media, politicians and radical political groups. The more anger and outrage, the more clicks they get, the more ads they sell, the more they make money. Division is good for business and political corruption. We are all just people, and back then we understood that.
Thank you sir for sharing your story. Love and respect to you.

I've seen will jimeno tell his story in other videos and while he may not classify himself as a hero, every man and woman who took an oath and fought that day are. Anyone willing to put their own lives on the line to save another is a hero. I'm very thankful that people like this exist, and hold the line so that us civilians can sleep soundly in our beds.

That day was horrific & forever instilled into our memory as the most cowardly acts in the USA. So many heroes that day, bless you all.

I did a drawing when i was a kid just like the ones on the wall in this video. It was a pretty graphic drawing at 9 years old. I live in California and did the drawing at home of my own will (not a classroom thing) and my grandparents must have sent it in to New York. I still have the letter i got in return from mayor Giuliani dated Oct. 2001. Always wondered if it was sitting in some bag in storage but seeing this video gave me a little hope that maybe its somewhere displayed.
Thank you for writing to us concerning September 11, 2001
On that day - and every day since - New Yorkers and Americans have shown extraordinary courage, unity, and strength during a very difficult time. I am so proud of our firefighters, police officers, and all those who braved danger to save lives. They are true heroes and American patriots.
Your thoughtfulness has been a source of great comfort to the rescue workers and myself. These terrible events have brought Americans closer together, and they will make our City and our nation stronger in the future.
On behalf of all the people of New York City, I thank you for your prayers and support.
    Sincerely Rudolph W. Giuliani
    Mayor

I watched this movie years ago and this story has always touched my heart. It was so beautiful to hear it actually told by Will and I’m so touched by the way he shares his story today. Thank you for using this tragedy and pain and turning it into something so much more. I loved the way you talked about the love you saw that day. From your family, friends, medical staff, partners in blue, marines, etc. It was enlightening. While I am so sad you had to go through this, I’m so grateful you’re here to share those pieces of history. May your heart and mind have peace and your friends rest in heaven knowing the amazing sacrifice they made for others. God bless you, Will!

When i was 12 back in 2008 i first seen the movie World Trade Center. I found it to be a very accurate representation of the attacks, what the good people of New York witnessed, and what the world saw that day. Will Jimeno is the true embodiment of a hero, a decent human being, and bravery. In the movie we see what John, and Will had to endure down there under the rubble, and his testimony is accurately portrayed from the movie. What isn't portrayed in the movie is Will flat lining twice. I had no idea that happened so that was an eye opener. I think both Will, and John's experience, although brutal, and inconceivable in the most dark and horrific way, showed what human beings are capable of when they channel their pure goodness, and humanity. I'm sure many people showed the best of themselves that day in the face of pure evil. When humans can show that will power, love, and compassion in the face of sheer tragedy then it shows how sustainable good is. Evil cannot shake it, evil is self destructive. Good is self sustaining. That's what Will Jimeno, John McGlaughlin, and many brave men, and women showed on that dark day. God bless you Will, and all the heroes from 9/11. I love the World Trade Center movie, and after hearing your real life story of the willingness to never give up just makes me appreciate both your bravery as a man, and the movie which captures your portrayal of such braveness. God bless from Edinburgh, Scotland UK 🇬🇧 🙏😮

He is a hero and a humble one at that. Not because the tower fell on him, but his actions to help others during, and after. Helping people before the collapse, and helping people mentally after. ❤ We lost so much that day, but he shows up we can live our best lives and that’s okay. It’s actually the way to honor them.

Part of being a hero is not just what happened to you and how you dealt with that but how you have dealt with all the things that have happened in the years since and how you have reached out to others and consistently tried to help them. That's pretty heroic to me.

You don't hear many people talk about the actual body parts that were scattered around -- mostly from the airplanes and the people that were in the impact zones. I listened to a podcast where a woman that worked in the south tower was in the sky lobby halfway up the building and looked down at the foot of the north tower and said there was a lot of plane wreckage on fire and you could see manged legs and arms sticking out.

52:33-54:33: Great testimony Officer Jimeno on calling out to God in your time of need. Jesus was there willing to give you that "living water" so you will never thirst again:
    From the Holy Bible:
Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans.
She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.”
“But sir, you don’t have a rope or a bucket,” she said, “and this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water? And besides, do you think you’re greater than our ancestor Jacob, who gave us this well? How can you offer better water than he and his sons and his animals enjoyed?”
Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”
    John 4:7‭-‬14 NLT
Be well and be at peace.

I don't think these two are hero's ,sorry they shamed and forced the Dominick Pezzulo who survived the first collapse to stay with them instead of trying to go get help like he wantedto , sorry these two were under heavy concrete that no man could do it alone and both needed machinery to get them out as what happen after the second tower collapsed and they were rescued and it took many hours to free them using that machinery, will jimeno is by far the worse he uses 9/11 to profit off of like the movie and people call him a hero BUT HE'S NOT and from what i hear Dominick Pezzulo's family never got anything. Dominick Pezzulo is the real hero staying against better judgment with little kids tryin to free these two when he knew it was impossible for 1 man to lift heavy concrete and he subsequently died after the second tower collapsed .

You have to remember what they all did, before the buildings collapsed. They risked their lives to get people out. They are all heroes.

I'm sorry but I have to say this: You people need to stop acting like USA is the only country in the world who has freedom. 90% of other countries have freedom too. You are not the only ones.

Who was the person hit by flying debris 2 blocks away from the WTC, being attended by the FDNY Ambulance, that Will mentions seeing while still on the bus near West Broadway?

@@raineyj560 Do you know what he was hit by? Wonder how public records were that day for ambulance services.
