Greetings From Turkey. These musical instruments are the culture of the very ancient Turkish and Mongolian people. And it still is. Mongols are our relatives.
"We wuz khanz." Did you know the Mongols defeated the Seljuk Turks in the 1243 Battle of Köse Dağ and the Timurids (actual Mongol relatives) defeated the Ottoman Turks in the 1402 Battle of Ankara?
*Fun fact:* Although many Mongolian magtaals have been written and performed over the centuries, this particular song was created in 1993, as composed by Munkhbat Jamsranjav with lyrics written by Tserendorj Tseyenby. (Note: A magtaal is a song of praise, a paen or panegyric.)
@@TerminatorZXY There can be little doubt that many songs about the Great Khan were sung over so many hundreds of years, magtaals being a long-held, bardic tradition of the Mongols, more particularly as noted in _The Secret History of the Mongols,_ written in about 1240. However, since the nomadic peoples of those days left no sheet music nor any other sort of recording that's stood the test of time, it's unsurprising that I've not been able to find much in the way of specifics via the authoritative _Grove's Dictionary of Music_ nor the other historical materials that are currently available to me. I do notice, though, how new musical works on the subject began to (re-)appear in the 20th century, especially in movie productions. While most new music about Genghis Khan/Chinggis Khaan continues to originate in Mongolia, musicians in other countries, especially with rock bands, have shown real interest in the topic (e.g., Iron Maiden in the UK, Germany's Eurovision entry in 1979, etc.).

Comparing Genghis Khan with Subutay is meaningless and Genghis Khan is the world's greatest commander and state administrator.
Took me a while to realize it but the basic rhythm of the song matches a horse's gait, which honestly makes sense considering how vital the horse is to the Mongols.
That rhythm comes up time and again in Mongol and Tuvan folk music - listen to people like Batzorig Vaanchig, Hun Huur Tu or Kongar-ol Ondar, as well as Galba (the HU's lead singer, who's a properly trained khoomigch).
Horseback archery was one of the reasons why the Mongols were so fierce. Imagine being a Chinese warrior and some gigachad Mongol archer literally flips upside down and backwards on his horse and shoots you in the neck while riding away.
The Mighty land of warriors the Chinese were afraid to fight against. In historic times modern Mongolia had many Turkic and Mongolians empires since the Asian hun Xiongnu times, a one single huge confederation of different nomadic tribes made up of Mongolic, Turk, Tungusic, Uralic peoples. They were the earlier ancestor state of European Huns who would later raid into Europe attacking the Roman empire and it's ruler Atilla causing the roman pope to kneel down his knees and not sooner the Romans would be split in two parts because of the Huns! So basically to put it simple not only Asians but Europeans had much to deal with those altaic steppe warriors.

*Fun fact:* Although many Mongolian magtaals have been written and performed over the centuries, this particular song was created in 1993, as composed by Munkhbat Jamsranjav
with lyrics written by Tserendorj Tseyenby. (Note: A magtaal is a song of praise, a paen or panegyric.)
Shows that even in the modern world, the Universal Ruler still have songs written about them.
Is there any from HIS time or earliest one?
It figures, I was really wandering since when Mongolians used 12 tone equal temperaments tuning system.

Ghengis Khan has to be one of the, if not the greatest, military leaders in history. Mongolia is a beautiful country
Well a lot of the military success is carried by Subutai/Subeedei. One of Earth's greatest generals
@@biba_1428 If Genghis had lived to be 100 years old, he could have done what Subutay did. Subutay was just a genius commander, but Genghis Khan was a state administrator. The army , stability , economy ... , Genghis Khan is responsible , do not forget that Genghis Khan established the army alone with his ingenious military system . Comparing Genghis Khan with Subutay is meaningless and Genghis Khan is the world's greatest commander and state administrator.
You can't handle an empire alone even if you're a genius which means that you have to rely on people who you can trust on to be competent and loyal.

Yes, Mongolia looks somehow likes a land of ancient time, it is true... yet it is also part of culture
Well this comment makes me happy as a descendant of Tamerlame.
