for those towers yes, but for each of the chair, aren`t you supposed to demount them and store in the station at the end of each day? In australia, I see them store all the chairs indoor everyday and release them again the next morning so no one ever need to de ice the chairs.

nope they're kept on the lines even in off season
Depends if they're fixed or detachable I guess. NZ has some pretty old chairs so these might be older models.
