Sweet light, I usually solder the pins after I crimp them even when I have the proper crimping tool just because it's quick to solder and your guaranteed a perfect condition years down the road. Looking pretty bad ass so far!
Jake Jake I can’t believe it you’ve come so far. I worked at Ford motor in the spot called design Aid had to take an early retirement but boy what you’re doing there reminds me of working at design aid I would’ve hired you in a minute. Keep up the good work I love watching this!
Well I own Ford’s and I have some suggestions haha. Put me in touch with your guys haha. For real though thanks for the complement. I’m trying to make this like it came that way. As much as I can at least.
I went to cedar valley Dallas community college. Learned a ton but getting out there in the real world is the best. Doing it for a living will teach you fast.
Jake good tip when you have two butt connectors in the same spot: stagger them so one is a bit lower than the other, that way they aren't bunched up together when you use your heat shrink tubing over them.
Like what you are doing and you are doing it in a sensible way. Fyi I am going to do a similar project on a 1986 VFR750. I decided on a single font disk with R1 caliper. Saves weight, easier to plumb and less vicious off road (I hope) look forward to next vid.
That was a well-timed dropping of the multimeter "I have a high-dollar multimeter, but I always use this 8 dollar one because I don't care what happens to it *DROPS and lands on concrete floor 3 seconds later*"
Oh shoot, that reminds me. I had to quit all my patreon subscriptions a while back because of current events and the financial uncertainties they bring, but things have stabilized somewhat so.. let's re-sub!
Jake your very cool and a excellent rider!Don't forget your the Wheelie king. You have to represent! My cat is asleep on the chair. So no input from him. That light is very bright. But it's good cause people can see you ! Hooah!\m/\m/
Thank you jake for reminding me every video when you do breaks how much I need one of you bleeding kits and how much easier it would be if I had one lol. Your vids are awesome been watching for a long time.
This is easily the coolest build I've ever seen! I can't F'n wait to see it go off-road. Great series, Thumbed Up, Subbed, and Saved to my Moto Playlist
It looks as if the low and high beam are at the same angle, so you'll either be blinding everyone with your low beam or illuminating one spot on the ground really brightly with your high beam.
There's a green locker on that connector that will keep the.rubner gasket and the pins from sliding off, I don't know if is not included or dropped somewhere
Jake you're a crazy f***er 🤣 I was imagining you bleed that loop line for about 3 days before you decide to just route it over to the other side and have it go up with the left side line
Another very enjoyable build video. I'm looking to buy a cordless impact driver, I see u have a DeWalt. What model are u using? Would u recommend it? Thanks
I did the Hoglights Projector beam on my MT07 In Australia and its so bright .It Should of come from this in the Factory. But yours jake is blinding I couldn't drive with that here in Australia we would get defected.
@@TheGardenSnake I intend to keep it considering the resale value and safety. It's a vstrom 650 that I want to take into Canada and South America for a huge road trip btw. But thanks for the suggestion!
I feel like just for ease of trail side repairs they need to include a small ratcheting wrench kinda like the topeak pushbike ones but sturdier idk maybe in like a v2
Hey man I'm looking into getting a 2020 MT07 and have watched almost all of your videos in terms of installations and accessories. My question is that do you think most of the accessories you put onto yours like, frame sliders, headlights, tail light kits, would fit on a 2020? I haven't seen a whole lot of accessories listed for the 2020s. Mostly for 2015-2017. Any feedback is appreciated
Dude we need to see a xr650r vs mt07 race isnt that xr650r like 65 hp but way lighter ans the mt07 is like 75 hp sounds like a good race on road and off comparison
5:26 lmao, I'm glad you're taking it easy through this build because i'm loving it.
If you are fast enough, it's legal enough. Easy!
I want to see a street/offroad Tenere 700 comparison video in the future
I'd love to do something like that

Jake is the most mechanically well-versed motovlogger by far. Would honestly love to know what school he got his certs from.
Usually the best mechanics only go to school to get their certification. Only needed to show people that don't know that they CAN do the work!
I went to cedar valley Dallas community college. Learned a ton but getting out there in the real world is the best. Doing it for a living will teach you fast.
Hey thanks for the insight, I’ve been considering going back to school for it. Keep up the great content man, ride safe👍
That bar pad is the truth, adding that to my tenere build list
Jake good tip when you have two butt connectors in the same spot: stagger them so one is a bit lower than the other, that way they aren't bunched up together when you use your heat shrink tubing over them.
Well I can say I'm officially jealous of your knowledge with all of this stuff. Really enjoying the series as well! Look forward to every new episode.
That lil tool kit is pretty genius
Yamaha will be studying this build. Jake you are friggin' talented.
Jake: takes flip flop off and slaps the bike
Me: Vietnam flashbacks of childhood
At least he didn’t throw at said bike n it stick.
Thank you for your service. 😂
I made it to the end, the bike looks great.
Man I almost can't wait to see this bike running and being ridden.

Well done Jakey
That bakerxderek shirt is fantastic sir jake
'Hiding from my family' 😂
Nice bit of problem solving there
😉
before you crimp the wires into those pins, you should tin the wire. you'll get a much better connection, and the solder will prevent corrosion.
Don't know why but as u fitted mirrors n said "we can go off roading now Brum Brum brap brap" it had me in stitches

my bright headlights for my mountainbike just arrived today and i was happy how bright they are , then i saw this video. RIP HAPPINESS lol
hahaha sorry
Tons going on in this vid 👍 you have been very busy 😊 and that handlebar tool kit is probably one of the coolest accessories I’ve seen in ages 👍
Thank you jake for reminding me every video when you do breaks how much I need one of you bleeding kits and how much easier it would be if I had one lol. Your vids are awesome been watching for a long time.
Tricky stuff, hadn't thought you would have problems with the brake lines. Can't wait to see this thing ripping
It’s more just trying to over engineer it. Basically think of what’s the worst that can happen then fixing that.
That bike looks sick. It looks like it was built for an zombie appocalypse. 🏍👌
This is easily the coolest build I've ever seen! I can't F'n wait to see it go off-road. Great series, Thumbed Up, Subbed, and Saved to my Moto Playlist
Her: “I like them, like the length of Jake’s videos.”
Me: that’s out my league.
Haha but no, those lights are HOLYYYY bright.
Dude holy hell that light I bright! Baja designs is on point with that. Getting really close, keep going 👍
Jake the garden lamp
I finally got to see that light a shinin'!!! Nice stuff
This project is very cool. I am waiting to see the final result.
bxderek would be proud of the shirt
go ahead and TAAAAAKKKEEE IT EAAAASSSSSYYYYY
I need a new one haha
Those banjo bolts are Jeremy Clarkson and Porsche approved.
"Adds lightness"
I was gonna say the air trick is the best way to move grips or take off or put on it's my go too
I’ve never seen anyone use heat shrink as much as you 😂
@24:37 --- the ACUTAL light. Lolol
That is awesome! Can't wait to see all the after dark fun this bike will bring to the channel
i like that tool kit, definite getting that.
That bar pad / tool kit is awesome! I'll have to pick one up for my Tenere 700...which is not ugly!?!?
I never used a 13 either. Until I got my Ktm. They love them. My Ktm tool kit didn’t come with a 14 but did a 13.
Must be why it has a 13
So many new presents 😍
I can't wait for the first pull over video lmfao
Looks really good
thanks
Jake TheGardenSnake how does it feel? Nice and tall?
*"I'm tearing up the game...uhhhhhhhhh"* 😂👌
It looks as if the low and high beam are at the same angle, so you'll either be blinding everyone with your low beam or illuminating one spot on the ground really brightly with your high beam.
I’m diggin the longer video
You should add a sturt bar on the handlebars to make them stiffer
Your a master builder!
Im all for the handbrake idea🤣
Dude I need one of those bar pad tool kits!
Hey remember when Jake used to make content regularly. Like if u remember.
Trying to do quality over quantity
@@TheGardenSnake dude u quit ur job to "do TH-cam" over a year ago. Since then you have posted less content. Miss the pumpkin hand gaurd days.

Oh I found it! Will put that in now! Thanks 🙏
Did you look at the highwaydirtbikes handguards and mirrors? I feel like they would have been an awesome choice to solve a couple of your probems.
Just looked those up. Very nice. Maybe I’ll switch down the road. But right now I’m trying not to spend much more.
I can smell the brake fluid through the screen
Lights so far ahead you can see the Earth's curvature

Literally day maker haha
I bought a new Africa Twin and I'm converting it to a Super Moto.
Oh my
I want to see that thing in action soooo much!!!!! 😬
Same
Here in Brazil cops would go insane with a bean that bright
dude i just fixed my bike and it is non stop raining your video makes me want to ride.
It looks soo goood!
Thanks
What headlight bracket is that??
The reason there is a 13 is bc on dirtbikes its actually a common size. Which is why i carry a 13mm socket and wrench in my bag.
Not on any I’ve owned but apparently it’s a ktm thing
Whooo new Jake Video! Like!
That headlight is INSANE. My laptop brightness is on the lowest setting, and my corneas are still bleeding.
😂
Love the look of the light. Wow, 11,000 lumens. Halogens are 1700 lumens, HID are 3500 lumens.
It’s pretty wild
that's brighter than my future

Was thinking about doing new brake lines on my bike until I saw the abs routing diagram :O
Yeah it’s wild. How much do you like ABS? Cuz you could put non abs lines on and bypass it.

Let me get them old break lines
World class👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I wonder how bright it is for other cars . Hi beam doesnt look like its "beaming" any higher than Low beam. Or maybe the low beam is way too up?
I think it’s hard to see how far the high is going. It’s spotting goes way out there.
@ Jake TheGardenSnake I’ll take the old brake lines off your hands if you don’t need them! Great Build btw I’ve been following it for a long time now.
So who's gonna tell em you can take those safety bolts off with a broken zipper tab off some jeans?
Shhhhhhh
Are you plannin on selling your stock headlight housing? Mine has like a melted spot in the middle?
Probably not
The rock ready tool kit pad is fucking bad ass
Where's the explosion Jake ? I love that snuck in the end or beginning lol

I think a lot of it’s still the same but can’t say 100%
i bought those same hand guards about a year ago.
Should have gotten some Double Take mirrors. I have them on my Tiger 800. I will never go back to anything else
I don’t love how unsecured they are.
I think the ramball mount is plenty for them. I use the same style mount for a gopro and a phone mount.
